I know, LETS HAVE A SPELLING CONTEST 🤣😆🤣💀
Isnt that a daisy
1:54 thats the real gangster right there for catching that bottle how he did
What's interesting here is that the McLaury brothers are portrayed as level-headed and quietly helping to separate Ike and Virgil. Tom McLaury is the one who calls Doc's bet and takes the loss pretty stoically (and has the reflexes to catch the falling bottle too). Frank McLaury helps pull Ike away from Virgil and calms things down. They are two of the three Cowboys later killed at the OK Corral and in real life had never been in a gunfight before the shootout there. Billy Clanton, the third Cowboy killed at the corral, was aggressive and dangerous but not anywhere near the lip-flapping hothead that Ike is. The Cowboys would've been out for blood either way regardless of which of them were killed at the shootout, but the loss of some of their steadier membership certainly didn't help when they went further and further off the rails.
As great as Kilmer is my favorite performance in this movie is Stephen Lang.
_Tombstone_ (1993) is timeless. The replay value is extraordinary. - the screenplay is superb. - it's a period film, so you get all the exotic goodies that come with: costuming, locations, subject matter, weapons... - masculinity up to 11. - supporting actor performances that eat up the screen. - gripping drama and tender moments. - strong moral compass. Men have integrity and a code. Leadership qualities. - action jackson. It checks all the same boxes as two of my other favourites, _The Last Samurai_ and _Master and Commander._
They are believers now. Lol. But i feel there fear. They are being broken. Really bad.
Bunch of fair ease in this movie. Top gun the cowboy version
Everyone rightfully gives Kilmer adulation for this (probably best of his career) role, but let’s not forget that Ike, the idiot, two faced coward is played by Stephen Lang, who plays Quarritch in the Avatar movies, and Stonewall Jackson in Gods and Generals. He does a great job in this film. Doesn’t get enough praise for it either.
“Nonsense, I have not begun to defile myself” lmao 😂
I bet this is the only time the 5' 10" tall Stephen Lang's been called "little". Remember him in Avatar as the gung-ho Colonel Quaritch? Then again, Sam Elliottt is 6' 2" tall.
Doc Holiday has the amazing ability to get on people's nerves.😂😂😂
Hey loving man lol 😂. Gets me every time. This movie is a damn masterpiece.
To this day I wonder if Val ad-libbed some of his dialogue, because "Let's have a spelling contest" seems improvised.
1:29
Ike was hilarious..
1:29 😂
Appreciate the great film for what it is
It’s when Doc puts his cards down and gives a little giggle under his breath that kills me.
why Ike, whatever do you mean?" drunk, 36 hours into a poker game, and dying from tuberculosis, yet doc's eyes during that line were absolutely murderous
Did you catch what Big Nose Kate did, after Doc passed out and had to be carried out? So If you did not catch it I'll tell you what she did. So Big Nose Kate was in a hurry so she opened her bag and began sliding all their winnings, including all of Wyatt Earps money that he laid on the table when sitting next to Doc. out Big Nose Kate was sliding all the money off the table into her bag money they won, byou
its always a wonder when criminals feel cheated by other criminals...lol
1:54 good catch! Smooth I might add.
how did Stephen Lang not get a supporting actor nod for this lol
Dang. Clip ended. I am still wanting a spelling contest.
Don't you threaten me, you little son of a bitch!😡
Sam Elliott is stoic as hell. Super under rated
This is the greatest western of all time I’ve seen a lot of them but the cast and character talent level here is top tier Val Kilmer Kurt Russel are studs even Bill Paxton puts on a great performance nothing compares I remember watching this as a kid and being impressed. I am now 40 and still as impressed as I was when I first seen it. Hell, I might even watch it tonight.
"I have not yet begun to defile myself" is such a great quote.
You have to appreciate the acting of the guy playing the cowboy there with Ike! Love how he tries to be the level-headed peace maker by offering Virgil a quick handshake but is denied. Then he slaps his hand on the bar and puts his head down like "dammit here we go" haha God I love this movie!!
Hey luvin man you been called
0:24 “Nonsense I have not yet begun to defile myself.”
The actor playing Ike is phenomenal #StephenLang 🙌🙌🙌💪💪💪❤️🙌❤️❤️❤️
The original "you fuck around, you gonna find out."
tremendous! what a fantastic scene from a sublime film!
I think it was a mistake to cut the spelling contest scene.
1:52 “schleep”
The kid that says "I'm in", also in Point Break and North Shore, was he killed in Tombstone? I can't remember if he was killed at the OK Corral or later on.
Isn't Ike right? Because they were all cheaters?
To be fair, Ike was right. The Earps were pimps.
Stephen Lang (Ike Clanton) One damn good actor.
Thst troll face at 1:32 😂
Let's have a spelling contest can you spell cat? Um kat ha ha
Let's have a spelling contest nobody can deny how funny that is though
One of the greatest roles ever played.
The guy catching the bottle rolling off the table was nice, didn't take his eyes off Ike
Why Ike, whatever do you mean?!
Kurt Russel, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliot. Their performances, if shot today, would have one Oscar’s back to back
what’s song?
red river valley
Ik lets have a spelling contest 😂
