Hi bro, I prefer a 1.8m PE 1-1.5 jigging rod paired with a 3,000 size reel + 20Lb braid line. I avoid any line thicker than 30Lb because if you are snagged on the bottom, it would be hard to break the line on a kayak. Cheers.

Hi there, without a fish finder may be tough to find the spots. Near NSRCC there is a canal, I would try around the mouth of the canal or go near structures like buoys etc. Btw, can be windy and choppy in the open waters there during this time. Do stay safe…have fun 🙏

Yes very valid concern i have too. So quite careful to shelter the battery and check the batt temperature as it is connected to my mobile app. These LiFePo4 batteries are safer than lithium, but heavier. But still i try to shield them from over exposure to the sun.
