The world of Ivalice has so much stuff that needs to be better explained/explored, it's a shame we havent had a game there in a while now, i would love a game about the events of the dynast king or maybe on set during the cataclysm between ff12 and FFtatics

My only complaint about 12 is it's a little too bloated for me. If they would have trimmed it down a bit it would have been perfect.

The calm doesn’t last 10 years, we’ve no information for that at all. Sin isn’t absent between defeats. He terrorises spira constantly, we’ve no idea how long the calm lasts but it’s definitely less than 10 years. He didn’t just show up at the start of the game

Vayne is underrated by fans since he's a far more subtle and indirect villain compared to others in the franchise. I will concede that he should have gotten more screen time and that the story could have made more of the political backdrop more obvious for players (e.g., we should have seen Vayne kill his brothers and his father instead of just being told about it, or seeing the aftermath). Vayne is voice acted very well (like most of XII's cast) and his character design is good. He also accomplishes his goal, which people tend to overlook.

I guess whether or not Vegnagun could defeat depends on whether or not Sin is the same strength each time Yu Yevon summons him. I could see a scenario where each sacrificed guardian's strength directly relates to the power of Sin.

On the topic of Auron’s appearance, I always thought it was interesting because he looks a hell of a lot older than 35. I feel like if he HADN’T changed his appearance it would have been less shocking. A lot of people in their mid thirties don’t look THAT much different from their mid to late twenties, and I feel like he would have changed enough to avoid arousing suspicion simply through the presence of his scars, which would have made him look more grizzled anyway. I think what’s happened here, lore wise, is that Auron’s appearance is a reflection of his internal state. He had endured enough trauma by the time he was 25 to fill a whole life. He’s weary, his soul is burdened, and his heart is filled with regrets. He only endures because of his devotion to his friends who he couldn’t save. Maybe it was intentional on his part, but my theory is that his much older appearance is more the result of the pyreflies reacting to how he feels about himself, rather than him consciously trying to project an image. Pyreflies are sensitive to thoughts, feelings, and intentions, and much like water they can store or take on the shape of these things themselves. That’s my headcanon, anyway. Great video!
