@mosshead_yt absolutely. I didn't buy any AAA games this year. Closest one was space marine 2. Next year kcd2 for sure. All in all I must've played and finished a dozen indie games this year

I had a similar experience with Assassin’s Creed Unity when they forced online DRM for a single-player game. I just wanted to play offline with my own saves, but nope, had to check in with their servers first lmao.

@@mosshead_yt I was so happy when I discovered the Peacock Project to replace Hitman's servers. Now I have a special build of the game I can stash away that will still be playable 20 years from now long after the servers are gone. No thanks to IOI

For sure, the DRM and rising prices are a huge turn-off. And the whole game preservation thing is real, because so many are already lost.the whole situation just makes it harder to see why people wouldn’t lean toward piracy when these problems keep piling up.

@@mosshead_yt yee Which, i suppose like most people, i would prefer we lived in a perfect world that delivered us the experiences we want to enjoy without a lot of the...i guess anti-consumer would be the word, practices. Yeah, like, in a perfect world, people wouldnt need to rely on piracy for either preservation nor just to enjoy the experiences. And, i do still believe the industry as a whole can steer that direction. Until then though, yeah.

It’s one of those things where it kind of makes sense in some situations. Not saying it’s the solution, just an interesting take.

@@mosshead_ytnone of the games here are bad but most are zergy including WAR which was developed by Mythic. The 3 realm war, 8man groups, PvP mechanics in daoc still have not been matched and I played many PvP games like aion, wow, war, gw2 etc … too bad we never got daoc 2 because they made WAR which a watered down version of daoc and more zergy. I play both daoc and war still love them both.

@AwesomeSauceeYT that's statistically impossible and grounds for sueing against Hoyoverse. This can't even be classified as a glitch since Hoyo needs to be completely to be transparent to Google and app store about the gacha rates and cant commit fraud.

@@SamuraiSx19 I talked about the game being unfair to F2P players, especially when they reach the endgame with little to no content or events to enjoy and make a sustainable amount of Primogems to pull for the upcoming character. Even if they try too hard, they’ll never compete. And just so you know, the Gnostic Hymn gives players quality stat weapons, which you’ll never be able to obtain without paying real money-unless you grind a lot and manage to pull one from a banner. Even then, it’s not guaranteed.

@@mosshead_yt there's multiple f2p teams that breeze through abyss, like Childe national or Raiden hypercarry which are teams made up of 1 5* and 3 4*. there's multiple amazing weapons that are 4* and below, like the sacrificial series, white tassel and widsith. there's multiple people on hoyolab that calculate the primogem rewards for each patch and you get around 100 pulls per patch. character banners do have guaranteed 5* after 90 pulls and if you lose your 50/50 the next 5* is guaranteed to be the rate up one.

ESO was developed by former mythic employees that developed daoc and Warhammer online which is why they have sorta same feel. Daoc is still king, but both eso and war are definitely top 2/3.

@@KomodorGV Yeah. You can do clan PvP in multi-combat wilderness and seasonal gamemodes called Deadman.

@@mosshead_yt its not balanced. you play meta comps or you lose by default. did u ever play hellgates? thats where this happens the most cause u will meet people who actualy dont suck. for roads you need to play metacomps too, it doesnt matter that much because there are many noobs and you probably can play offmeta unpunished but the problem is kinda the same. risk reward is off anyway. you can speedfarm save content and make much more silver then you would in lethal content cause thats the new prioriced customer of sbi, the swiping nonlethal casual carebear. thats also the reason they dont give a fuck of balancing anymore. i was top tier gvg player back in the 5v5 days, i played more hellgates then i can count so trust me on this.

im playing albion since beta too, and i think albion is the best when it comes to punisment. albion is sanbox mmorpg, if you cant lost you gear then the gear price will drop. and if no black zone/lethal zone any1 can safely transport to blackmarket and ruin the marketprice. its just unique game and gameplay that you wont be able to find this kind game on othergames. i literally enjoy every piece pvp aspec on this game. makes you think to use escape set whenever goin out to lethal zone.. runnin from gankers, destroy other guild hideout.. take other guild territories.. you cant find that on other game fr

​@@RoeDeerMusicwhen it come tk balanced maybe yes, some weapon needs to be updated but when in meta comps, oh god i just make my own comp with my guild.. like brawl , heavy Dtank, heavy kitting, heavy rdps.. when it comes to guild pvp, you needs to trust the zerg.. did you know top 1 asia guild dont have a comp? they just give you main party comp (like standart clap comp) and the rest just mix and match anything they like.. for hellgates maybe "its nor meta" but several weapon is good on some content.. like nobody use daybreaker on open world zvz but someone use on hellgates.. no one use wolf on open world but there it is on hellgate.. so its no that meta but "better" weapon for that content.

There is plenty of innovation in open worlds. Baldur's gate 3 is as much an open world as we're the old Assassins creed. You basically have 3 acts. 3 large maps. A very reactive story and combat system like nothing you've seen, except in previous open world Larian like Divinity Original sin. Then you have Infamous second son that gave us incredible traversal and cool gimmicks like the way you tag walls with a paint sprayer. You have Elden ring that made the Lands Between an amazing exploration experience. Just watch the video and you'll see more examples.

Yes Elden ring evolved the open world, I would say games like Baldur's Gate 3 evolved RPGs but not so much open world, for context I was referring to games like Ark Survival Ascended, open world sandbox games haven't really been advanced or evolved in awhile
