I actually like the 7yrs old phone video quality, something about it.
Merry christmas, maybe someday ill be able to afford one of those
I bet his wife is a Hummer.
Cool driveway man
Wow HMMWV is my favourite car, Merry Christmas, all the best next year!
Merry Christmas!!!! Wishing you all the best this year!
@@TidusX2 Thanks
My friend - does your AC work? Have you found any maintenance info in the TMs for the AC in these trucks? I can’t find it anywhere!
There is no way that 500 pounds. That a lot more. I say 900Lbs.
I like the yellow optima batteries! They work great ! 😎👍
The lock washers are called "nordlock" and they are indeed one-time-use. If you want some locking halfshaft bolts that you can re-use , check out the modmafia locking bolts. PITA to install but they will never ever back out.
Kepp the videos coming. I own a nice M1165, but looking to pick up a M1151a1 soon.
@@awidesigns Thanks, it's tough to bust my but doing heavy construction. Then come home and work more and video also. It's fun to do. Thanks for watching 🍻🇺🇸
That's really good to know. I have one of those 458 wire box things in my truck aswell but had no idea what it was. I'm not sure but I think those rear uparmored door limiter strap brackets are pretty rare. I haven't seen 1 of those on ebay this entire year and most of last year
@@ZyzyxHumvees I only have one strap that is good. The other has been cut off by demill . Thanks for watching.
Cool. I just got done servicing mine and putting new seals in it. Is yours warn or milemarker?
Mile Marker hydrologic. Thanks for watching.
What make and model number? I have an M1123. I wonder if this one will be adequate for mine.
It does not fit that series of trucks. I will do a better video explaining the ins and outs. This winch has been common in the auctions. It is for the 1151,1152,1165 1113,1114 serial number 249,999 below. I have a rev truck 300,000 and above. I also have an 1123. Thanks for watching 🍻🇺🇸
I didn't have to remove anything extra. Not control arms or rad like some say to do. I did have to do one brake by putting the rotor and caliper up as a package.
Yes, that's what I did also
Been there done that. I took the calipers off too and got the barrels refinished and new seals. Those 90 fittings on the side are a pain in the butt. They crush easily and you gotta take the brake line off then take em off. If you jack up the wheel you can spin the rotor using the tire when it's in neutral. Don't forget to chock the wheels. I have two spare ecv calipers if anyone needs em. You wanna make sure they aren't stuck or you're gonna wear out one set of brakes and not the other. You can get a socket on those bolts holding the rotor on
I have a REV too and I’m no mechanic. So I’m subscribed for future repair videos
@@abc-ed1nr thanks, I'm trying to get more videos out. Ben slammed at work. Getting a custom line made for the winch.
Amazing my friend, nice work keep going.
Beautiful, keep doing videos.
Definitely made by the lowest bidder
When you get the bracket for holding the winch bumper ?
Where are you seeing the seco tire carriers for $150? I’m only finding them for like 2 grand 😭
Now that’s a delivery.
@@jasont7814 Yes it was. After all the waiting and paperwork.
I’ve replaced my oil gauge and sender unit, still getting low oil pressure with very little to know blow by. Where should I look next?
@@M1151A1 working pressure should be 30-60 psi. It could be a bunch of things. The wrong viscosity oil 15-40 is recommended, fuel dilution, a plugged pick up screen, bad oil pump hell even worn rod and main bearings.
@@MyHMMWVaddiction god I hate these things😂
@@M1151A1 I wouldn't trade them for anything.
@@MyHMMWVaddiction so that u looking joint the filter threads into? When you take it out there’s a hole in it that the oil cycles thru. Mine had a f-in ear block blocking the hole! Oil pressure back!!!!
@@M1151A1 Thankfully you got it figured out. Always start simple.
How long have you had that hmmwv
I had this one a bit more than a year or so. The project has escalated from a little by little, to a full build and service.
@@MyHMMWVaddiction Once you won your hmmwv how long was the wait for paperwork.
@@michaelcarnline556 The M1151 is my second HMMWV. I think it took about 1-2 months. My M1123 took about 5 months. That was during all the coof bs.
If your serial number is above 300k you have a revb truck which means you’ve got the best spindle nut available. I’m guessing it is since it’s marked as 3rd gen just like mine is.
Yes, it has a split nut with three alen head screws.
@@MyHMMWVaddiction yep that’s the one
@@meganfry1122 Thank you for the comment. I have a video of the hub check out on the way.
Looking for a hydraulic MM winch for my M1123. Same NSN?
I don't think so. I was hoping it would fit my 1123 also. Looking at the pictures on the auction it was hard to tell. The instructions say it's for the M1113 showing something similar to an 1152 armored pickup. It seems like it will fit my M1151-a1 . I only got as far as removing the bumper and the frame extensions.
I deliver stuff like this in the humvee quite regularly, usually 50 bags of mulch, slightly over 2,000Ibs, probably a bit more since the bags are usually wet
They ride so much better with some weight in them 🍻🇺🇸
I wanted a hmmwv- live in NV and they won’t let them be registered, so civy 95 it is. Mine was open top and I built the slantback & brush guard. Offroad whenever possible and work it like a truck. Only slight abuse, the worst one my son videoed me removing a wall. The padding on the hood I knew would protect the hood from anything falling on it. m.th-cam.com/video/JEFkpVfSBC0/w-d-xo.html
Nice find. If ya contact Mile Marker they will usually send a email pdf of the manual you can reprint.
I did that. They were great to deal with.
Glad to help. Thanks for watching. The brackets should be easy to find.
Thank you so much for this!!!! I am missing those key brackets and now it makes sense! Thank you!
I'll get on it.
I really appreciate it! I know its probably really simple but if it wasnt for bad luck I wouldnt have any at all. lol
Love the videos! Is there any way you could do a video on how your troop seats are installed? I can't find much on youtube. They seem simple enough but not sure if I am missing anything.
How did you get that upper 7mm loose? I'm struggling to get that one and curious.
I used a 7mm socket with a 3" extension. It will allow you to swing a ratchet. I used a standard Allen wrench on the lower bolt.
My what?
How about this?
The stains don't lie. A small coolant leak and trans cooler line leak. All fixed. But she marked her territory. Thanks for watching 🍻🇺🇸
You just told us though lol
Thanks for watching. Sorry the videos are choppy. But you can get the jist of it 🍻🇺🇸
Best wishes for you from IRAN ❤
Hey man, just got the exact same HMMWV as you...any way you can walk me through how you changed the "fun" one? Are you basically just jacking up the body on the side you want to replace enough to take old one out and place new one in? Did you do the hard one first? thanks!
Nice, they are easy to work on. The right front is pretty much like the rest. The area is cramped. There is 3 air-conditioning lines that obscure/ block access. I do show it on a video but I forget which one shows it But it was hard to film. There is a one hole strap that holds the three lines in a bundle. I removed the clamp and that allowed me to move the lines and get my hands and tools to slip buy. Yes, I am using jacks to lift the body. You first have to remove ALL 6 bolts. That will allow you to lift the body up. Watch clearance around the master cylinder and generator. There is a bolt you must remove that holds the front inner fender to the master cylinder. It took me about 5 hours to do. I was filming and working alone. Thanks for watching. Good luck with your HMMWV. If you have a question about anything I could do a video about it to show you. 🍻🇺🇸
@@MyHMMWVaddictionthanks! Mine came without a master cylinder so might make it a tad easier on that end, good to know on removing all 6 bolts first I wouldn’t have started with that. Thanks for response.
@@TheBosleyMusic No problem, yeah these trucks are usually missing something. At least the cheap ones. Mine was missing the whole gauge cluster and was a " could not be started". It was actually just out of fuel. It was also missing two tires. But it was still hard to start due to all the glow plugs being bad. That was caused by the start box not turning off.
@@MyHMMWVaddiction hey last question lol which body mount or side did you install first after removing all the bolts? I’m thinking rear but idk rn I have wood blocks on rear and front left
@@TheBosleyMusic it really doesn't matter. I jacked up one side at a time. Start on the one you have best access to.
trash haha
Hey bud what’s the parts number to those bushings?
The NSN# is 5340-01-568-4874. I bought them from Hummer Parts Guy. It said they were a new compound that won't degrade like the blue ones. Thanks for watching 🍻🇺🇸
Nice!
Thanks for watching 🍻🇺🇸
I just put new Windshields in my M1152A1, the first one I did dry, the second I soaked the gasket in hot, soapy water which helped decently. Highly recommend the hot soapy water.
I had mine warming by the wood stove. Made it much more pliable.
You're giving me the honest truth as you do the work. No BS. I like that. Keep it up.
Meu sonho era comprar um HMMWV mas aqui no Brazil ele custa US$ 202. 323,77 e o combustível custa US$ 01,15 por litro e o Imposto sobre o valor do veículo é de US$ 3.439,5 por ano fora o seguro !
I'm so sorry, I don't know why it's not translated. I'm assuming you are comparing cost in Brazil? I didn't know you could export these. I have to sign paperwork that by law I can't export. Let me know if I'm wrong. Just curious 🍻
Damn… it was what I thought. Have to crush it. I was hoping it would fit like the other one. Did you have to change the glowplugs? Just curious if you had to take the alternator out or were you able to get it from underneath. That 400A alternator is really big and I am not looking to remove it.
Yes, all the glow plugs were swollen. The glow plugs failed due to a faulty start box. You need an extraction tool. Black dog customs has it. I changed the driver's side from below. Pretty easy. The passenger side was tougher. It was tight but doable. I also put in a new start box.
My start box is good. My issue was user error and not knowing how the glow plugs operated in these. I was trying to revive the batteries so I left the truck on without running for 8 hours a day. Needless to say, the screw up was me.
Do you have the airduct in place inside the doghouse? I have a new airduct and it looks like it doesnt fit. I might have to crunch it in. Can you post a video with a focus on this aspect. How it is connected, the fasteners and the route it takes in the doghouse. Most people have them missing and I cant find any photos online about this.
Next time I get home when it's light enough to video I will. Good topic and idea for a video. I have both versions. An A2 and a REV ECV trucks.
I just posted the air duct video. 🍻🇺🇸
Snice. How much you get this for?
$5200 plus fees taxes trucking.
That is a steal, i paid 8300 for mine and it was missing a lot to include the hood shrouds etc. i didn’t even have a top. The body was in good shape though.
@@clashofclansshield8583 that's about what I paid for the 1123 in 2021. What model do you have? No top is it an 1114? All of them are shipped without tops and or the slant back due to demill.
1165 unarmored so no holes. I was able to score a new hood from the same location for 360$ so it wasnt too bad. Had to find all the hood parts for it though since it was a NOS hood with nothing on it.
Man that’s a steal for $5200. Paid $4500 for mine with a blown engine.
