    I hard agree with your views. This movie while somewhat enjoyable is just riddled with hollywood mistakes. A few things i also noticed. 1. When they enter the area with the facehuggers. You can see them setting the temperature to 98F. Which doesnt make sense as human skin is a lot colder than that. Sure core temp is at 98 but theres just no way that logic would work. They should get attacked immediately. If you've ever seen thermal imaging of a body, you just know how retarded this is. 2. Why is there an elevator based on gravity in a space station? The grav module goes out and it suddenly stops working. Surely they would make an elevator that could work in zero grav. This one baffles me and the only reason one would engineer this is to move the plot forward. Also the elevator conveniently closes the vacuum in the ship after squishing half a dozen aliens filled with acid? Surely the acid creates another hole. 3. The cable conveniently wraps around the 4th cargo release so that rainn can somehow pull it while dangling in space. Yea sure why not. 4. Andy got overwritten by rook, but by removing the module, the damaged synthetic can suddenly erase all the modifications made to him and return to normal? The overwriting shouldve been permanent imo. 5. How did rainn get andy into the cryo pod when she couldnt even move him a single inch when he was glitching on the floor? Also why does he have to be in a cryo pod? He's a synthetic.

    These criticisms annoy me because they just feel so fake and like you aren’t willing to acknowledge when the Acolyte does some stuff well. To start, you literally got the character wrong, it’s Osha we are seeing. Next, you can say what you want about the acting, because fair enough it isn’t great. But she definitely seems unsteady on her feet both at the very start then after falling, notice her unnaturally wide stance. It’s not great acting but she also definitely looks concerned when she initially takes stock of the lightsaber fight. Next, of course a fight is going to move over time what on earth was that criticism, although questioning the body is fair enough. Cortosis was cool and the first parts of the fight were probably the best part of the entire show. Also the fact that you criticise the Jedi for being useless without a saber is just ridiculous. I think the Jedi standing there uselessly after their lightsabers are turned off is a perfect reaction from Jedi who have never seen combat before and whose only combat training is their lightsaber training. They at least do enough with the world building that the audience is aware that it is a time of peace. The fact that you took issue with qimir executing the two Jedi moments after you have just called them useless is also ridiculous. I agree that Sol coming out of nowhere was bad, so was Osha and Yord’s whole side quest. However, pointing out that mind reading has never been a thing in Star Wars is probably the most revealing thing you can say about your knowledge of Star Wars. Watch the council test Anakin in phantom menace or Kylo find out about bb8 in force awakens and tell me again that mind reading has never been a thing. I could go on about stupid stuff you say, but I don’t feel like it. I would just say that this episode should be so easy to criticise given how out of control the contrivances are by the end. This episode literally had me fuming at how hard they threw at the end of the episode and was the most annoyed I got at the show as it was releasing. It boggles me that people decide to come up with silly/disingenuous criticisms of a show that is so easy to criticise. It’s this type of discourse that allows Disney to hide behind the excuse that the audience is just bigoted. Whatever, rant over, congrats on getting the hate click and interaction from me I guess.

      While I’d personally take it down a notch, and try to be more diplomatic, I have to agree with your assessment. Particularly as regards the inclusion of cortosis, there was a lot to like in those fight scenes. As well, you’re 100% correct that the show HAD established the lack of experience on the part of most of those Jedi, the strength and ruthlessness of what’s his name, etc. Again, I’d probably try to provide more balanced feedback (this video does some things quite well, after all) but he definitely focusses on false “problems” to a silly degree.

    The show ended two months ago and you're writing like you still don't know what Cortosis is? Am I hearing that correctly? Say what you want about the show overall but the fight choreography was brilliant. It was a fresh, energetic change of pace that also supported the characterization and world building of a new era. In this episode, the Jedi's formal and regimented fighting style was no match for The Stranger's aggressiveness and cunning use of his saber and armor. This video feels like a conclusion in search of a justification.

    • @haku8135
      @haku8135 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      "The show ended two months ago and you're writing like you still don't know what Cortosis is?" You cannot justify this by looking to other media. Cortosis was never established, and it also does not work the way it does in legends. His helmet and bracer were never foreshadowed and it was never even implied to be possible to short out a lightsaber in ANY way. It's also a contrivance that his helmet is capable of tanking a lightsaber strike multiple times, but hitting it a few times with the hilt is enough to completely destroy the whole helmet. It's also also a contrivance that he has only exactly enough of the stuff to make a stupid looking helmet and a bracer. If you wanna look at future shit, it's now a plot hole that he has access to a HUGE vein of cortosis but hasn't made a full suit of armor and just been lightsaber proof. "Say what you want about the show overall but the fight choreography was brilliant." No, it wasn't, it was absolutely fucking retarded. You're just a shite for brains that looks at pretty colors waving across the screen and see people doing jumps and flippy flips and CONSTANT FUCKING HOLDS and jizz your pants cause you don't even know the first thing about fighting. Duel of the Fates is a brilliant fight scene, this is trash. "It was a fresh, energetic change of pace that also supported the characterization and world building of a new era." No it wasn't. It was lazy, flashy, and looks literally the fucking same as the other dogshit they've been making. Literally the only positive is it's at least better than the baseball bat fights in fucking rise of skywalker, and that's not a bar worthy of a compliment. Seriously, how can you say this is such a BRILLIANT fight scene when Smylo literally just stops fighting MULTIPLE times to leave a fighter at his back without killing him in order to chase a non-combatant that has NO MEANS of actually escaping because they're stuck in the middle of a giant fuck off forest with NOTHING around for literally HOURS in every direction. Characters literally just teleport into the scene MANY times. Characters just stand around doing literally nothing MULTIPLE times. Jeckie in particular just spontaneously starts beating Smylo despite Smylo absolutely destroying multiple Jedi Knights simultaneously, and she's a Padawan that was doing BASIC sword forms with a STICK literally earlier that day. She then dies because Smylo pulls another deus ex machina out of nowhere and just suddenly decides he has a hidden blade in his lightsaber, which again, never established this is possible and not established he has this. She then dies because she's unable to backstep when she clearly has plenty of time because she's just standing there doing nothing and sees him twist off the back of his lightsaber and ignite a dagger thing. Sol is also RIGHT THERE and does nothing to help his Padawan, he just watches her die. The force is used on multiple Jedi, and is even used on Smylo, but none of them actually ever use the force to deal DAMAGE to Smylo, they just exclusively use the force to inconvenience themselves, just like how they refuse to take any solid strike on Smylo by throwing a fucking KICK at someone holding a LIGHTSABER when he could easily parry it. And by parry I mean he could twist his wrist and cut their fucking legs off. Several times they do that by the way. Every time he uses cortosis, he never capitalizes on it. He kills Yord because nobody helps him and Smylo is just better, and he kills the two Knights he disabled AFTER their lightsabers reignite!!! He also spends most of his time blocking and striking with his lightsaber instead of parrying with his bracer that disables lightsabers for several seconds, which is an eternity in a fight, and then just cutting them in half. Don't say it wouldn't work on trained Jedi, because he literally easily force pulls a Knight onto his lightsaber with no resistance. The actual lightsaber exchanges are really bad, they are faster than the dogshit Ahsoka fights, but they're still just whacking two sticks together instead of actually AIMING at one another and BLOCKING the strikes like in the prequels. I could go on, but my brains hurts the longer I think about this piece of garbage. "In this episode, the Jedi's formal and regimented fighting style" It's not "formal" it's just a fighting style. Several, actually. There are many different lightsaber fighting styles that the Jedi practice, though of course nobody that worked on this show fucking know that. It's also not "regimented". They're practical fighting styles, they're not step by step programs that if you don't do the approved steps correctly the way, as an ENEMY TRYING TO KILL THE JEDI, you're supposed to, the Jedi just falls over and dies. That's not how fighting works. Fighting is inherently flexible, because you need to respond to what your opponent does and adapt to it. The Lightsaber Forms are not programs that the Jedi run when they fight someone, and if the enemy cheats the program crashes. The fact you think the Jedi's fighting style is stiff, inflexible and incapable of responding to aggression is VERY telling about how SHIT the choreography is. "was no match for The Stranger's aggressiveness and cunning use of his saber and armor." It wasn't fucking CUNNING, and he wasn't even that aggressive. He spent half the time defending as multiple people attacked him at once and literally ran away several times instead of finishing the fight. Usually to chase someone who couldn't possibly get anywhere. He certainly wasn't CUNNING because he just pulled a deus ex machina material out of his ass that the writers decided could just turn off lightsabers for exactly as long as they want with a side effect of forcing the Jedi holding said lightsabers to stand around like morons doing absolutely nothing despite HAVING THE FORCE. Then he killed a little girl because she stupidly stood still doing nothing while he pulled an obvious weapon from the back of his lightsaber in full view of her and then stabbed her while again, she did nothing to defend herself. That's not cunning, that's called the writers hit fucking pause whenever they wanted something to happen and didn't even CONSIDER the fact there are OTHER PEOPLE IN THE SCENE THAT WOULD TAKE ACTIONS! No, this is NOT a "brilliant" fight scene, it's not even GOOD. The only reason it's ranked above ATROCIOUS is because the fight scenes in Ahsoka, Obi Wan, and Rise of Skywalker, and all the sequel trilogy actually, were even worse than this. Notice how I analyzed the scene in detail, where you just said "Yeah it's amazing, see Smylo had bullshit armor and a secret dagger that were never established until he used them to kill main characters, so it's brilliantly written."

And I'm glad many people agree with me. Again I'm not saying this show is perfect but one thing is to say "oh yes this show is nice for these reasons and could have been better for these reasons" you just make a full video complaining about stuff half of which are clear as day in the show. You said that the whole character doesn't make sense when the whole character is as extravagant as he is in the books and just said ONE line that is out of character. He’s not a wise mentor figure. He’s a jolly guy who sings and dance and doesn’t care for the issues of Middle-Earth. This is a total 180. I wouldn’t mind him being different if it was justified. But as far as I can tell, and as far as the writers are concerned, this IS Tom Bombadil. They copy lines and sequences from the books, pass them off as something that happened thousands of years earlier and call it a day. I don't understand your comments. They are SCARED that Sauron was directly involved in the creation of the rings. I really can't stand people who just have to despise anything coming out of this show, yes it's not perfect yes some things don't make sense, but this does. By the time it ended, it was only getting about 2 mil. Toy sales were down, video games were the only consistent money maker and even they had lost popularity. With no new content coming other forms of merchandising had dried up. George even admitted that one of the reasons he sold was because he felt responsible for his employees. If Star Wars dies, fine. Isn’t the acting, the story or the actors. They had it all. For me is the bad execution, the order of the events and timing, they dedicated to much time on unrelevant things. It got better after Astrid crossed the door, that would’ve been a better plot to focus around and exploit that idea rather than waist time on characters and situations they wouldn’t even properly developed, delay the appearance of Bettiejuice for the climax, let the girlfriend (bélucci) be the one to take him down, that would’ve make more sense. And lastly the song at the altar 🤦🏻‍♀️ my goodness 30 years waiting for these and they failed us so miserably 😢 The song from Lydias perspective 👌 and actually Lydia making everybody sing and not bettlejuice 😮 👏 🎉
