I really do think that this is the kind of movie that will only work if someone has been through some kind of tragedy in their lives or is feeling quite down and wants to watch something happy but still bittersweet. The more I think about it, this movie is like Tim Burton's Big Fish in which both movies are about the loss of parents and the parents themselves being playful and energetic as they bonded with their children when they were still young. It's only when the parents are no longer in their lives do the main characters begin to understand what they really meant to them and mourn their loss. At the end of the day, I think the moral of the story really is that our parents, families, and close friends are the true people we have in our lives, and while they can be the inspiration to our creativity and why we keep moving on in our lives, we must also learn to cherish the time we have with them and really appreciate the love of our families and those who take care of us and bring us up. It's just like how the girls parents in the movie are. Encouraging her imagination and creativity. She has both of them to thank for.

That scene you’re talking about with Ally and the hospital nurse, the star on her car triggered a memory of her IF and then she saw Ally. It can be favorite foods from their childhood or symbols or songs that trigger them to remember what it was like being a child.

I think the main purpose behind this movie was to elevate the stunt performers in the movie industry. In the promotional interviews it is often mentioned how there are no awards for the stunt actors but the action wouldn't exist without them. It's a fun movie with an underlying purpose of awareness. :)

I think I made it about 30 minutes,the acting and dialogue is just awful!!I didn't like part 1 ,not sure why I thought it would get any better.

I walked out the theater thinking wtf did I just watch, it was the first time that has ever happened to me since theaters are very immersive when you watch a movie but this movie didn’t have that. I just didn’t like the movie all that much.

It's not "just bad". It's very bad. For me, the worst part is the abysmal lack of art direction. It feels like an Indie Game made by a small studio with free assets. Everything is so mismatched and disjointed. The non-stylised space Amish, the WH40K Imperium/Star Craft Terran stylised army, senators and the dead king wearing costumes that look like they are 19th Century Monarchy Halloween-store costume (the Princess is the worst offender here) mixed with Roman Empire (the togas), and the Rebels looking like space Mad Max driving Cylone ships (from Battlestar Galactica). In part one we also had a random space gryphon and space drider (that one on the pseudo cyberpunk planet that the discount Jedi did fight) and that random alien race that Motherworld destroyed (I liked the Alien design, hated their architecture though). And you can clearly see that this originated from what Snyder pitched to Disney as a Star Wars movie. While it all could be forgiven if it was a small, indie studio taking their first steps in the industry, doing their first sci-fi flick - that could be forgiven. But not when it's Netflix, Snyder and that amount of money.

It was absolute dog trash to be honest. No character change/development, nothing to really invest in. No stakes or time scale etc. No expansion or deeper exploration into the depths of the empire and the key players. That was a missed opportunity. If you have run-time much like the Dune movies, then why not take your time and do it properly. 😅

Ha. NO. This movie is a piece of shit. Both by story and spectacle level. Especially in comparison to 2014's "GODZILLA". Seriously, the CGI of 2024's "GODZILLA x KONG: THE NEW DUMPSTER-FIRE" is absolute trash. And no, I don't care about the Showa movies, this new movie still sucks.

Personally I don’t need the ppl I need monster movies to be anything but a vehicle to the next monster fight. I can get story literally any other movie. That’s not what I watch these movies for.

Honestly, When it came to kung fu panda 4 on board with it since I heard the villains were returning and I could make for some great opportunities, but many opportunities was not even utilized because some people said tai lung should get a redemption. I don’t know how that will work, but I’m not against it. I actually wanna know how they could pull that off because that seems like an interesting route to go. And another opportunity I saw, which not too many people spoke about was Lord Shen vs li Shan that was the biggest missed opportunity. Lord Shen vs li would’ve been a great opportunity because number one we can see another side of li amor angrier version of him that is that vengeful blinded by his anger just to get his revenge. This would’ve been some thing interesting to see because we can feel li anger because this was the peacock who massacred his friends and family burnt down his village, drove him away from his own home and killed his wife the very same peacock that separated that made him lose 20 years of his life with his son this would’ve been a revenge story I would like to see this movie could’ve shown us li Journey towards inner peace. if Kai was going to return, I felt like they could’ve made him more threatening in some form and way well his character he was the weakest villain by a writing standpoint. I hate it when they did this in the movie. It’s Master shifu number one he told Paul that he needed to choose the next dragon warrior, which is just a repeat it pattern from the second and third movie where he told him he needed to do this And it doesn’t make sense to me why po has to give up his position as Dragon Warrior I feel like that should’ve been a decision made by Poe because it would’ve been a mature decision and contribute to his character growth Because maybe po almost died and knowing he can’t be the dragon warrior forever because he’s not immortal that would’ve been a much better to pass down the torch because he feels like something can happen to him and he won’t be around forever. I just didn’t like how shifu forced him to choose a successor and Zhen she did not deserve to become dragon warrior. Her growth was just so rushed, and I just didn’t like it. I can’t really sympathize with her at all. I guess her backstory was sad, but the pacing did not help with that and I really hated That she was chosen because I really do not see what Po see to determine her as a worthy successor because due to the stories, fast pacing. the tone of this really sucks because the emotional scenes did not land the comedic tone overshadow any emotional scenes. It was so bad because that emotional scene with Zhen hugging po did not land it really didn’t the fast pace did not help that nor the comedic tone because it felt forced. a reason I didn’t like this movie. This has to do more of the behind-the-scenes the co Director was sidelined terribly what do I mean by that? She wanted to be faithful to the first and second movie but due to the main Director Mike Mitchell he wanted a more comedic tone of the movie instead of a emotional one. We missed out on an emotional goodbye between Master Shifu and tai lung It really sucks and animators fought to have the previous villains in the movie, because Mike didn’t want to put them in the movie. The behind-the-scenes for the movie just determines Mike was was not meant to direct kung fu panda the reason is the chameleon was not supposed to have a backstory and animators fought to to give her backstory no only reason he changes his mind to give her backstory was because there was feedback from those screenings and the movie was gonna be a lot worse because he was gonna introduce human characters for some reason I don’t know why and if you’re where I’m getting all this, I’m getting all this from a discord messages that was recorded asking questions from the co Director herself there should be a document where you can read it all from. Anyhow, that’s how I feel about kung fu panda four I’m gonna leave you with this. the film makes it seem as tho the dragon warrior is the title you must have before spiritual leader. Meaning Oogway WAS the dragon warrior before since Po is said to be taking Oogway's place. This would also tie into why Shifu didn't take Oogway's spot as spiritual leader bc lets be honest, that would've made the most sense given their personalities and AGES. Shifu is way older than Po with more life experience, more qualified to be giving out proverbs which seems to be all the SL does and Shifu ALREADY DOES. And if DW is just a title now since it's no longer a "union of past and future" as Oogway said and you can just pick fucking anybody then why isn't Tigress ANYONE'S FIRST PICK? She's grown tremendously throughout the trilogy and is more than deserving of the role. Zhen is what? An orphan like Po? So? Tigress is too. Is the only qualification for DW that Tigress doesn't have and Zhen does the fact that she can be unserious? Is goofy the only quality you need to be the DW bc thats all that sets them apart and that so LAME as a reason.

I haven't watch the movie yet, but I can tell myself that I'm going to be very disappointed, especially as someone who watch it from beginning. I'm a critical person, I don't want to risk watching flat story with lame villain, because good story have good villain, because the villain, is the reason why the story even exist. Without them, conflict won't be added and there will be no problem to fix, so, I'm clearly not watching it. And I don't think anyone can convince me to watch it
