None of this stuff looks even slightly used.
That's a great build. Glad to see you're back again.
great video, good job its a nice table
@@luisitogarza5676 I appreciate that, thanks for watching . 👍🏼
Great video!
Thank you for doing things that normal people do. 1. "I don't have enough clamps" 2. Got to glue it on the floor. 3. Having a small space and using every bit of it! 4. "Not sure how long I have had it!😂
Hahaha I’m just a avg dude with a day job trying to make stuff at night . Thanks for watching 🤘🏼
Looks awesome! Ive never known a reason foe dog holes on a mitre stand. What do you use them for?
Thanks, I use them more when I’m on a job sight to hold down anything odd. More or less a good insurance option to have, almost like a little work bench if needed.
I love how you explain what you want to do and then show how you actually perform the action.
Thank you!
Nicely done. How deep did you route your dado groove for the magnetic tape and ruler + do you just leave the self adhesive strip on the back of the ruler so you can move at will??
Thank you! The groove is just over 1/16” and I did leave the strip on the back of the ruler bc the magnet holds it in place, then if I ever have to adjust it I can do so.
Is this a miter stand or work bench? Why all the dog holes?
Miter stand, but it’s nice to have the option to clamp something down too.
I had a cheap track saw and hated it. I bought a Festool and love it, expensive yes, but IMO worth it. Nice review!
Thank you, yes this is definitely a product that you get what you pay for.
great setup.
Do you have any pics of it finished with the top? Looks great
Thank! No unfortunately he got the top installed a few weeks later and I never saw it. He was thinking white Quarts with some veining running threw it.
Чегердык.
Dang this rules.
Not asmr music too loud
Excellent Build. I am about to start building my wet bar in my finished basement and i Learned many poinetrs from you !. Ship lap siding on bar is a great idea and i am going to do the same. Menards Alread have dark colored 8 ft x7.5 inch ship lap, that will save me some time. Thank You👍
Awesome, glad it helped. Love finding pre finished materials bc I like building not finishing haha. Happy building, enjoy it !!
How is rhe working out for you now? I was working on designing a fixed station but with the Dewalt 779 the station would need to be deep. I already have the stand and put it on a rolling platform. I could tuck this against the wall when not needed Thought hard aboud getting a non slider to use to take up less space. The 779 is way more than i need but i have it so might as well use it. Small shop so space is a premium.
I really enjoy it, it’s nice to be able to clamp and have more surface space to hold pices steady, but also be mobile if needed. Same as you the only problem is how far the slider is away from the wall.
A really solid and comprehensive overview, presented clearly and concisely. Very well done. I think you've sold me on the saw!
Thank you, glad you liked it. The saw is a great product that will last a long time. Highly recommend.
This is so satisfying and underrated- outright subscribed less than 3 minutes in, just because, and I just love the vibe of this video! Not sure if your username pertains to getting up at 4am to build stuff, but that concept certainly resonates with me- after many years of "having no time" to do hobbies or things I enjoy, I started getting up up at 4am everyday and spending 2 hours doing ANY hobby or activity I want to do in that 2 hour window I blocked out for myself. It has made such a difference in my life and overall well-being. I love making and fixing all sorts of things- clothes, painting, refinishing free furniture and doing small repairs... Even though I've never done actual wood working, I enjoyed this, and I do have a friend who is into it and helps me out when I need wood cut and such. I would love to have a standing desk, but many of them out there are out of budget and/or unattractive, so watching this is simply inspiring for someone like me! Thanks again for this upload! Fawn 😊
Thank you and that’s awesome. Yes I do get up at 4am and definitely where the name came from. Love tinkering and having a coffee to start the day!
How is your diy dolly compare to the packout one? Id think its heavier but also more robust. Id likely add a spacer in the middle too for support /shrug
It’s holing up well, I like that I can slide it around but also use the dolly if needed with minimal effort and don’t have to disassemble anything. Maybe a little L bracket on the lip would help save the wood from the dolly but I can always do that any time if it gets to banged up.
What bar top did you go with to match that shiplap?
It’s a quarts top with white/tan with light brown accents.
Hey nice build. I threw together a rendering with Sketchup based on the dimensions below if you would like it. I don't know how I can get it to you though
Thanks man! That’s really cool you made that file, you can email it to me and if anyone would like you, comment below and I can send it to you.

Woodworking and a nice watch, all my favorite things. Great job with the channel
Thanks man! 🍻
Why all the glue?
I think it helps make it more stable. Probably not necessary but it’s a little bit insurance.
What’s the dimensions
Base is 99’ long and 15” deep, the little L that sticks off the corner bumps out to 27” and the top overhangs by 9”. Also its 42” tall with the top on.
@@mr.4ambuilds913 What are the dimensions for the back bar as well. Great job
French cleat FTW! Going to build something similar and another for holding grinding/cutter discs. Great video!
Thanks !! Happy building 🔨
With any due respect, this is definitely not what a carpenter's tool setup looks like. This is what a cabinet installer's tool setup looks like
I agree, I Definitely carry more tools than this, but this is all that I got in the packouts. My truck has overflowing bags of junk as well 🤣
Can you use any blade with a fest tool track
As long as the saw slides on the rails I think so, only thing is you would want to change the splinter guard if you change thickness of blades to keep that 0 clearance dead on.
Generally when you copy someone else’s design you reference them. Shout out to Spencer from Insider Carpenter for making this design
I’m not in his league. But yeah I did watch Spencer’s videos and I also like the one John from John Builds it made too. Lots of good versions on YT.
@@mr.4ambuilds913 I don’t think anyone is in Spencer’s league haha
@@leonzelvys1286haha fact!!
Where is your circular saw put my friends
I don’t use it very much so I just keep it in a tool bag in my truck. I do have a Festool track saw that I keep in the systainer and carry around with me.
Thanks master
The metric system was introduced in 1795 and is used worldwide - time to catch up? 😉 I like the design of the wings, though.
Thank you! As for metric…. I agree haha it’s definitely easier to use and I think I should give it a college try at least. 👍🏻
Jimmy Carter should have switched us ( the US) over to metric back in the 70's when it was discussed. Soooo much easier than fractions. I use metric in my shop when ever possible.
This is just what I was looking for. Thanks man.. Buying my lumber now.
Awesome, glad you liked it. Happy building.
Do you have a basic drawing for how you did the legs?
No sorry, they are basically 2x4’s glued together with lap joints, and the cut ends go down.
One problem that I see, it should be off the floor a least 3” is horrible to approach the working surface above it and hit your feet against the cabinet build. other than that great build.
Thanks and I agree, I definitely would done that but there just wasn’t enough room to clear with what I jammed in there 🤣
Keep up the good work you're approaching the 1k subscriber count soon! @@mr.4ambuilds913
What were the dimensions of the wings? They look like a great size.
Thanks I’m really happy with the size, they are each 35” long and 11 1/2” deep. With this miter box there is about 49” to each side of the blade that’s supported.
Those nail length marks on the drawer are genius. Nice touch
Thanks, they really come in handy for a quick depth check.
A carpenter with a Rolex; you know you will pay too much for the job
🤣
How do the crown stops work? Just slide a bolt and washer in t track and a slotted piece for top with nut and bolt to tighten down to it?
Yes exactly, the board runs parallel with the fence, you set that distance and that way you can cut the crown in the upright position and the crown stays at the same angle the entire time.
Excellent job!
Thank you!!
Make a trash bin next 😂 awesome work, very clean, thanks for the idea
Thanks! A cabinet for a big trash can with a work top on it is a great idea. 👍🏻
Thanks a bunch bro, you just completely solved my trolley-dolly combo idea, so simple and so versatile. Keep up the good work 👍🏼
Thank you! Not sure if I mentioned but I also have locking casters on all 4 wheels and that helps when your on a un even service , ie dribeway or old slopping garage floor.
Ok thanks 👍
What kind of paint did you use, brand and sheen? It looks good with the red palckouts!!
Thank you, I used a pre mixed black in a quart that Home Depot had on the shelf. I went flat or eggshell, not sure but those are my two go too’s.
I am going to use this exact build when I purchase my FLEX 12" miter saw next year. Did i missed the area for stop block?
That’s awesome, glad you liked it. Around the 3:55 mark I show the T track being installed. It’s actually on the back of the wing and uses a flip stop style stop. If you put it on the top then you can use a normal knob style stop. 👍🏻
@@mr.4ambuilds913 Great video but whose flip stops are you using on your wings? Can't wait to replicate your wings for my DWS780.
Thank you for the indepth review.... off topic question. How well do you like the Dewalt cordless brad nailer and palm router I see on your bench? Are they worth the investment? Does the (I'm assuming) brad nailer work well? Would you recommend both? One? Neither? Thanks
Thanks for the kind words! I do like both. The nailer is a top heavy, I tend to use it with a 1.5ah battery tho to keep the weight down. It dosent miss-fire often but when it does it’s easy to clear and not having a cord is the best! The router works great. East to adjust, the power is there for what I do and the LED lights illuminate the cut well. I also have the plunge base witch I think is a must have option, and again not having a cord makes it easy to use.
Thank you! That helps a ton..... keep up the good work!
Wearing a Rolex Submariner while woodworking ?
Yes sir, it keeps good time.
I really want to do something similar in my basement and I am trying to figure out some spacing and flow. What is the distance from the back wall that the mini fridge is against to the window in your video?
I think the back bar is 1’ there is a 3’ in between the bars, then the top on the main bar was about 2’. So from back wall to window is about 6’
“Hey dummy - what’s that face for?” 😆
The face of panic 🤣
Awesome job what are the dimensions of the wings
Thank you, they are 37 3/4” long by 11 1/2” deep
Those wings are a great addition to a mitresaw. I”ll be building a pair for my saw soon. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas.😊
Absolutely, few months in and I love them, happy building 👍🏻
