Rucking explanation speech for COMM class.
I have the black foot for my edc as well. Great knife no complaints. I wish they would make a 4 inch blade Blackfoot with a Sabre or scandi grind.
It was between the Blackfoot or the Fieldcraft for me, but the Blackfoot was the only one in stock. I'm not much on Scandi, personally, but I know they're very popular.
@@Murphnuge I prefer a convex scandi. For what I mostly do it works the best for me. I re profiled my Blackfoot to a convex edge and it’s still my go to knife I carry it everyday. I just wish sometimes i hade another 1/2 inch of blade. I live in the tropics down in south Florida, I do about of scalloping, lobster netting, flounder giging ect but also a good amount of bow hunting white tail and feral hog and rifle iguana. But I also love to primitive camp on the 10k islands and other small islands while I do it. So it really is an everything knife for me except for the seafood stuff which requires a good filet knife which I also have in my kit.
@@Bear230grain reprofiling to a convex was big in the ESEE community years ago. There are plenty of benefits. It sounds like you know what you need for what you like to do. I'm glad you're out there using your shit!
Why am I looking at an Esee product but not seeing orange and venom green?
This is a TOPs product. The Junglas video was a couple before this.
@Murphnuge oops, lmao. Well, then, Tops needs to get with the program and put out some o and vg of their own.
@@user-wd4ge2zh2c Hey, no problem! I appreciate you watching. Reach out to TOPS, they're great folks and may consider it.
Thank you for the review and thanks for listening to the TDG podcast. Sorry to hear about Violet.
Thanks for a great tool! Y'all are a great hang while I'm tuning out work. I appreciate the condolences as well.
When the orange and venom green is available I'll buy one.
@@user-wd4ge2zh2c The idea behind it is sound. I'm stuck too much between worlds to want to be seen.
@Murphnuge if you're talking about camouflage, just remember, the war is over. There's no one out there looking for you. If you're not talking about that then I have no idea what you're talking about lol.
@@user-wd4ge2zh2c You're absolutely right. It's hard to turn that off when I step into the woods.
Love to see an episode or two on some of the camping knives you have, your recommendations and how to use properly
I'll see what I can do. That sounds like at least two separate videos!
Picture of Violet is an awesome Idea.
I'm working on it!
I just got my orange and venom green (because I'm sensible and have good taste) Junglas a couple of days ago. For perspective, it is roughly the same size as a Cold Steel Natchez Bowie. Pure awesomeness.
Solid choice! I like the looks of the Natchez too. I've not owned a Cold Steel in years. You ain't losing that Junglas anytime soon .
Does blade is not 2 inches thick
The width of the blade is 2", not thickness. You made me go back to be sure I didn't misspeak, in doing so I noticed I never mentioned the thickness. Thank you for bringing that to my attention!
My first visit. Not quite ready to subscribe yet but I did like the video. I’d like to see more of your videos before I subscribe. 🙂👍🏻
Thanks for stopping in! I can absolutely appreciate the honesty and the hesitancy to subscribe. I'm a work in progress.
My god shutup you nerd. You think this guy cares?
Love my Esee blades. I have the dark green Junglas with orange g10 scales. She demands respect when using thats for sure. Good overall video. My junglas is Def ny go to for end all survival scenarios. Id trust my life to thet blade
Thanks for the feedback. I trust everything I have ever used from ESEE. I have half a half dozen or so different ones, but my Junglas is my most used.
I really enjoy mine…. Great video… great knife
Nice video. I have a few Esee’s myself, really like each and every one . Don’t have the Junglas but I am sure it is a beast!. Just one question, where can I get the sheath for the Esee CR 2.5…? thanks
Have you tried eBay? They have a few good makers on there doing Esee blades.

Thank you! I'll head over and check yours out too.
Thanks
No problem, thanks for watching!
Do the tops 170 you mentioned. Pls. TY!
Filmed it yesterday, look for it soon!
It is unimaginable to me that anyone would choose an inferior Junglas when orange and venom green perfection is available. It makes no sense. I mean, did you get a massive discount on it or something? I simply can not imagine any rational being choosing any other color scheme for their Esee besides orange and venom green. The Esee warranty and the orange and venom green color scheme are the 2 main reasons to buy an Esee. You really fucked that up guy. Im not sure I can even listen to a guy who looks at color options that include orange and venom green and then chooses something massively inferior. It is a sign of deeply rooted mental defect. Bro, you should go see a doctor. I think you might be having a stroke. Or maybe its early onset of alzheimers or dementia. Prayers for healing are coming your way.
Ha! Yeah, got this one in a trade. Years ago, for a ZT 0303. Venom Green wasn't an option then. Everyone around me will be in your debt if your prayers go through. Thanks, buddy!
Just came across your channel…great review…that Junglas looks well loved and appreciated 💯…liked and subscribed 🤙🏽
Thank you! I've definitely put a lot of work in with this blade over the years.
Very nice delivery. The Junglas is probably my favorite blade. I've owned DOZENS of them over the years. Subscribed and Instagram follow request sent. I am on Bushcraft USA don't kn ow if you are as well? Thanks!
Thank you! I'm working on getting better. I think the only ESEEs I've ever gotten rid of were the ESEE4 and the 5. Nothing at all wrong with either, they were just gifted to people that wanted/needed them more. I think I still have an account on BCUSA. IG follow approved!
Love watching new TH-camrs , I just subscribed. I’m a BK fan . I have the 7, 2-9’s, 2- 2’s , 16. Been wanting Esse for a very long time but never pulled the trigger. MY BK-9’s I stripped and patina both. Put micarta scales on them and they both kick ass. Great video, may pick one up someday
Esee rocks!! Have just about all of them except the candiru. Highly recommend
Thanks! I'm a Beckerhead from WAY back. The 9 has a permanent spot in my heart.
I bought a BK9 years ago and was intrigued by all the pro-BK-9 reviews I saw. So I pulled the trigger and got one. Then I find out that the freaking thing has skeletonized handles!!! What the hell? Then I was able to find failure videos of BK9's failing at those weak points on the skeletonized handle. So, a little pissed off, I did some research and decided to go with the Ontario RD9 which is 1/4" 5160 with non-skeletonized handles. Then I replaced the scales with orange TKC G10 handles. On Memorial Day weekend I did a little chopping contest between the BK9 and RD9. I have to say, I was a not impressed with the BK9. It kept slipping out of my hands (and I was wearing tacky leather gloves). The RD9 felt more comfortable and did more damage cutting. Now granite I did have the original black scales on the BK9 that everyone complains about. But still, the geometry of the handle wasn't that comfortable. Just a long opinion here, but that RD9 does a great job for the well under $100 that I paid for it. Too bad they are discontinued. I actually e-mailed Kabar to see if they will ever offer a non-skeletonized BK9 version and they said no.
@@Ruger44Redhawk I have multiple BK9s, I'm a a Beckerhead from WAY back. I've used some BK9s to the point I thought it was abuse, they survived grinning mud. To compare the BK9 and Junglas is a bit unfair. They both have similar warranties, heat treat and demographics. However, they do not have the same intent. The Junglas is a Machete/Long Knife(jungle forward) , the BK9 is more camp knife/combat blade(American West/Frontier) . Seriously, I can go more in depth, but my alcohol fueled mind is outpacing my typing at the moment. The older Camillus BK9 was full tang, only allowing for screw holes. The Ka-Bar version is, as you put it, skeletonized. I'd argue the Camillus version is inferior. The heat treat wasn't quite there with them. Ka-Bar took over and reduced the weight, improved the balance and improved the heat treat of the steel. Give that 9 a chance.
I own 1673
Just keep getting better.
Thank you, sir!
Good work🤘🏻🐍👊🏻
Thanks, brother!
I've got a stripped 16 with micarta handles. It's awesome! The ergonomics and every day functionality is dare I say... better than the bigger beckers. (except the 9, the 9 is king for a reason) The BK16 is in my top 5 favorite knives. Nice video!
Thanks, Cap! I know you love your 16. I would agree with you on the ergos.
Good looking girl you got with you there!
Thank you! My daughter picked a great one, for sure.
Very nice presentation
Thanks, Chris! Getting an actual videographer has helped a lot.
Outstanding review. Been a BK16 user since they came out and you'd be hard pressed to find a better hard use knife. Great video.
Thank you! I couldn't agree more, sir.
I love my BK16. The ability to customize them and the available accessories make it a great entry-level blade for knife nerds and outdoorsmen. Looking forward to more videos. 🤙🏻
Yes, sir. It is the standard by which all of my fixed blades are judged. Customization options are just icing on the proverbial cake.
Nice review, subbed 👍
Thank you, for the compliment and the sub! I'm trying.
That’s a good looking folder man! The wire clip is nice & the lockback is a winner too 🔪🇺🇸
The write clip is growing on me. I've always had solid clips, so I am still a little skittish of it. Lockbacks may not be as sexy, but they're always in style.
@@Murphnuge All my Spydercos are lockback & that’s how I like em!
Be sweet to get ahold of one of the brass or copper ones they made for blade show texas! Cool looking knife!
I agree! They have more in the works for the real BLADE Show in Atlanta next month.

I've not personally used a CR 2.5 to process a deer, but having used similar knives to do so, I have full faith this would serve you well.

Your water bottle pocket hate offends me. LOL. That wave organizer is rad! Love watching load out videos. I guess cause I'm a snoop and it's just so interesting what people choose to carry around. Thanks for the video! :D

I love mine. Great blade. It is the go to for so many things.
Also, very "non-threatening" for most daily carry. Very handy!
I'm still waiting on the 3.0 they were supposed to come out with 2 years ago.
Same here, hopefully soon!
We appreciate the kind words...that CR2.5 continues to be a workhorse...and NO...still don't have an update on the 3.0..lol...
I keep this one in my daily carry bag usually. I've really grown to love it over the years. Ha, standing by on the 3.0...
I have carried one for 2 years. It is amazing for skinning game🇺🇸
Yes, it's great! I've used mine for a lot of little camp chores, but really have only dressed a single squirrel with it. It did very well with that task.
how's the tip holding up? I've heard some people were having issues since its pretty thin.
thats a dream knife right there would love to use it to build my hooch.
do you consider this knife a variation of the tracker knife design
In a roundabout way, yes. The Tracker led us to designing the M-18. Some have asked for a more compact M-18. Now we're back to where we started in a way.
😣 promosm
