In many countries, trailers have to be equipped with a safety bar, to prevent fatalities of such accidents.
what about volvo?
th-cam.com/video/xw1jdkYW6Yo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ghIueOT55oobocvY Real video
If you hit a truck on that angle at speed your pretty much fked.
This make me think of the Audi RS5 Crash that was driven by a 25 year old , he was driving on a highway with no speed limit and he was going around 280mph before a semi turned in and made his car go straight under it, he was able to hit the hazards before he eventually died while emergency services where trying to get him out
What we learned from this video: 1. Buy a Tesla if you want to survive 2. Drive 56 km/h only, if you want some chance to survive, beyond this limit just simply forget it 3. Much better to pay attention on the road instead of crash your car while sending text messages. Also, keep your distance. 4. If you know more and more about the physics, you will drive slower and slower (personal experience) 5. In an average traffic speed (higher than in cities), everyone dies in this type of collision
5:33 "Physics doesn't care how much you've paid for the car" coldest line 💀🥀
1. Comparing the driver view between Tesla and Maybach, the Tesla clearly traveling at a slower speed. Not sure if the channel/ test was ran/paid by tesla. 2. All car tested here has auto crash avoidance technology, so unless the driver deliberate crash the car, highly unlikely it will happen. 3. How many cars can survive a 35mph crash with no injury? 0 regardless if it's against another car, a truck of a wall. 4. Key point of this test. Don't tailgate. Don't crash lol
stupid test🤦🏼♂️ Unequal conditions. For each car, different points of application of force are obtained relative to the body structures
Where is volvo test?
The truck crash bar is the one that failed making it possible for the car to slip through. That is the main flaw because the cars are designed to withstand impact on a crash bar that would hold its structure well enough. The other question is how can you end up on the back of a truck while driving? My conclusion here is that you just should look in front of you while driving and not on your phone, or eat or do your make up while driving!
Unsure why this scenario is being explored for comparison. It was set up to be an obviously non-recoverable situation to begin with.
Bullsh8 lol the shape of the car is what’s make difference regardless the brand, if trucks cover the sides and back gap so cars can’t get under would be much better
Please test lucid
Trucks and trailers should be designed in a way that cars cannot pinch under them. Bumpers should be reinforced.
It's actually pretty simple to explain. No major agency tests for this criteria so no manufacturers design for this type of crash. Remember when the small overlap test was introduced around 2014 and almost all the currently sold cars/suvs failed it because they never designed for that test? Yea this is basically that. A car's only going to be as safe as what these crash test agency want to test because car manufacturers don't want to make the car cost more than they need to.
That video doesn't need any comment. Useless. But these trailers do need a shock absorbing system.
There was something wrong with the test. Us Germans are perfect. Jah.
The stricter the experiment, the more beneficial it is for consumers. This is simply too cool
no its not! also generally collision will happen at much higher speeds and nothing is going to help unfortunately, unless youre a much higher vehicle or the truck has a much better rear end protection.
That truck owner/driver has got a lot of explaining to do... "Boss, they just kept rear-ending me!"
This is BS. This has nothing to do with strength, but all to do with were it hits. Have a same test with same cars but different truck height and you will have a very different outcome.
Kudos to the Chinese for experimenting on such expensive cars 👏
Where is the BMW I was promised 😡😡😡
Rear crash bumpers need upgrading on all trucks.
Ok then, let’s have a vote and see which one everyone wants.
it's the design of the truck crash bar , not the design of the vehicles hitting it that causes the damage.

Trucks dumpers are designed by murders.
How about Volvo?
Sure not ALL crashes can be handled if you don‘t drive a tank ;-) - please don‘t call the bling-bling S-Class “Mayback“: Correct is „Mybuj“ (with the “j“ spoken like in „Juan“).
A lot of destroyed vehicles just to see the problem is inadequate protection on semis
Tesla is the winner
The G-class is nothing but a 50 year old military vehicle that got converted to road use. It's as sophisticated as a toaster, nothing to brag about here.
Good thing u can’t afford one then 😂
nonsense! its just the same design for 50 years, litteraly everything has changed years after years, its not the same vehicle educate yourself please.
Proper anti under-run trailor construction would transform these outcomes...
Only one rule ! The bigger rig wins.
Why don't they ever repeat these tests after a lift kit and bigger tires ? Using the same vehicle. Because to many lives would be saved ?
Buy a tesla
Would love to see tesla model y and x
If you have a crash on Autobahn with 130 kmh with eny car you have like typ off this crash you are death
Trucks win every time. Stay as far away as possible.
With all the safety concerns about nearly everything now, wouldn't it be fairly easy to just blank off the space below the rear of truck decks ?
For every car they mention the driver has only slight injuries, uh yeah, maybe that's because the crash occured on the right side of the car on all of the tests? ;) lol
lets goo model 3
Stupid idiots making stupid idiot videos
Stay away from trucks. They are elephants in the room.
Beautiful.
maybach did bad? cant u see the passinger wasn't hit by anything
This test is stupid because you usual hit the middle not the corner
Why does the AI narration sound like a local radio station from the 90's?
