Library of Congress (full tour) 🏛☕️🍂
Spending the entire day at the Library of Congress (LOC) for leisure was such a treat!! I've been here a few times for work, but this was the first time I was on my own time, soaking in all of the wonderful, historical relics on display, attending lectures and symposiums, even signing up for the guided tour.

Seeing the contents in President Abraham Lincoln's pockets the night he was assassinated was surreal. And President James Madison's crystal flute that has only ever been played by R&B singer Lizzo was a real treat!!

@livingwithmari1009 Thanks, Mary! Using the white sheets really saved my garden this summer, but it wasn't a pretty sight. I'll share a little later how the squirrels actually planted a tree in my backyard for me!! They planted a black walnut tree in a pot, and it is growing beautifully! 😄🎉🌳

Thanks, friend! 😊💚🌱 I am so grateful for my garden, but I wish I had at least one tree for a little shade. My yard has no shade in the hot sun, so I have to cover everything. Yes, Irish Spring is very effective in keeping pests away, but the downside is that ants will eat it. LoL! 😄

When I visited DC I went to the American history Museum three separate times. I love this exhibition. I would’ve appreciated some commentary during the video.
I agree, Jonna this is a lovely exhibit & I'm glad you got to see it first hand. All of my videos from 2020 to date were made using my cell phone. I'm not sure how to do commentary with my cell, but I'll work on that. Thank you for your comment.

The video was lovely. That used to be my favorite exhibit in the museum. They used to have a gown from every single first lady, starting with Martha Washington. I remember going more recently and not seeing many of the older gowns, probably because of their age. That made me a little sad.
