Red Dwarf Series 12 - Coming to Dave 12th October Available to preview on UKTV Play from 5th October #RedDwarfXII
I'm currently watching this season on KERA channel 13 in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Siliconia is my favorite episode so far.
I had the pleasure to meet Chris Barrie at Comic-Con recently he's such a nice fella what a guy
Wonderful show. ❤❤❤❤❤
They should renew this show for series XIII and XIV
Maybe for the upcoming anniversary, they can do that
Apparently Robert Lewellyn said on his channel there would be a 3 part in 2025! Have you seen Promised Land the feature length movie? Its considered XIII as far as BritBox is concerned.
Geez, Danny John-Jules is 60-ish and he can still move like that. I wish I could....
Im re watching this now 😂😂 one of my all time fave comedies great cast with great chemistry I always loved the crazy adventures they went on and the characters they met along the way lol Rimmer and kryton are hilarious 😂😂😂 Kryton owned Rimmer with those sly disses left right and centre, I always loved the parts where Rimmer would quote an order along with the number and kryton would automatically correct him explaining what Rimmer actually said and the funny part is it was always something really bizarre 😂😂😂 Rimmer was always wwaayyy off the mark.
2:12 So glad Peter Ridsdale Scott got to take part in this documentary. Only other documentary I saw him in was Launching Red Dwarf on the Series 1 DVD. Yet he didn't take part in either the Series 1 or 2 in-depth documentaries on The Bodysnatcher Collection DVD. Just makes it feel like he didn't have much involvement on the show. Even though he and Paul Jackson were the ones who persuaded the BBC to put Red Dwarf into production after they almost gave up on it cuz of a strike.
I got the blu-ray of this and noticed that, apart from being hilarious, the acting is next level, especially from Craig Charles. But the character moments for them all are just so good.
When things in real life just gets to be to much, you can always turn on Red Dwarf ! 30 years and counting. :)
lister is a genius, pilots the ship, acts noble, saves lives, no idea why they always say he is some useless layabout.
And actually often tends to look out for Rimmer despite their dislike for each other.
Man, I wish we had commercials like this in the U.S.
Isn't that David Tennant narrating?
Of course the cat (Danny John-Jules) looks that good still in 2023! 😂🤣← ↑ Comment for algorithm + 👍 'd #OldManPaxus Rating: ☆☆☆☆ - - - - - - - - - - - - That show has cheered me up MANY TIMES in my life!
1-6 were great, bit shit when only Naylor is writing.
What about other writers after Grant left?
I Loved Watching This Show!
Shame Red Dwarf never really went in for story arc, or character development, or world-building.
Does anyone know who narrated this? It sounds like David Tennant.
Yes. Yes it is.
Smeg me! An apparently dormant Red Dwarf channel 👀🤔
They've all aged wonderfully
did they really have to get nish kumar for this
REEEED DWAAAAAARFFFFF!!! (hidden lyrics)
I want a Red Dwarf/Dr. Who Crossover!!!!!!
I personally would've loved it if they'd done a crossover during Peter Capaldi's time on Doctor Who as I feel he has better comedic timing than Tennant.
one of the few shows i could watch anytime, even though ive seen the first 6 seasons at least 20 times its still funny to me. it could quite possibly be the best tv show ever made
I remember Craig Charles from Robot Wars on PBS lol kids who didn't have cable growing up are truly built different. You pay for 500 channels but you can only watch one at a time and only 5 of them are worth watching scam of the century.
I LOVE Red Dwarf. I have since the early 90's. But, sadly, it just is not, nearly as good as it used to be (imo). After Series 6 (when Rob Grant left) - the series, REALLY changed. And - for the most part - not for the better. There are still some, fantastic moments. And it is JUST as creative as it was. And Series 7 had a lot more depth to it. And Series 8 had some nice moments and hilarious scenes. But the humor is simpler now - generally. And the entire feel of the show is much, more cartoonish then before Grant left. Everything is paced, VERY quickly. It feels almost slapstick/farce-like. I get the impression that Doug Naylor is a sci-fi whiz - because he comes up with wonderful ideas. He is not lacking in general, writing ability at ALL, IMO. But he writes/paces the show so it does not feel 'real' any longer. More cartoonish than it did before. Watching Rob Grant's 'The Strangerer's' (the entire series). I gather that he was responsible for Red Dwarf's pacing, pre-Series 7. That he kept Naylor's pacing to a normal level. Made conversations seem real. The Strangerer's moved at almost a snails pace (still very, good sci-fi, though). IMO, Doug Naylor can write, brilliant sci-fi (as can Rob Grant). But he HAS to have someone come in and 'slow things down'. Not just the pace of the dialog. But the pace of the entire show. Red Dwarf has become too cartoonish. Per-Series 7? Rimmer, Lister, Kryten, (and to an extent) The Cat? Were fully, formed characters. They seemed like real people (well, android people). Now? They seem like caricatures. I could believe that Red Dwarf could actually (more or less) happen in the future. Now? I feel like I am watching a brilliant, sci-fi farce. I just cannot take it seriously, any longer. Red Dwarf - for me - ended with the episode 'Out Of Time'. Since then? It is Red Dwarf II. Same characters - though less 'real-seeming'. Still brilliant, sci-fi ideas. But almost an entirely, different show (otherwise). ☮
Red Dwarf is great. Super underrated scifi comedy ❤️
The novels are worth a read
Stoke me a klipper
David Tennant taking some time off from Doctor Who to comment on Red Dwarf xD
@Starbug UK >>> 👍👍
Maddest shit ever! OMG what a hoot! <3
i dont know if i should be ashamed or go to nerd heaven " lister this is a 2X4B not a 2Q4B "
I hope we will get Series 13 of Red Dwarf at some point
It's in production now
Wait..is Chris narrating the trailer as someone else?
My childhood. Remember my brother and I laughing so hard when we discovered this in about 5th grade.
How the hell did I not hear about this!!!
Dear sweet mike!! Where is the rest of this!!
The closest we'll ever get to a movie.
Yeah, hate to sound such a downer, but I honestly gave up hope on the Red Dwarf movie a long time ago. Doug Naylor had been trying to get it funded for so many years to no avail. Shame as he'd finished the movie script and sounds like it would've been fun to see if it'd been made. But at least we've been getting new series as well as this TV movie.
Well if it is anything like Back to Earth than I wouldn't be surprised why no one green lit it @@AndrewChapman
@@DirectorHMAN I liked Back to Earth. =(
Cool! Thanks for posting!
First watched this in America on PBS. They would run marathons. I actually got sick with chicken pox at age 14, ((1997)) stayed home from school at least a week, and this show was on everyday. Kryten learning to say Smeg head was so much fun I had to tell my friends in sunday school . . yknow back before the world became a cesspool
I wonder if there'll be a season 13.
is that David Tennent?
Yes
Aaawww…the vid finished…..😲🤨🥴 That’s how good this masterpiece is…even a few clips leave you wanting more 🥴
Oh my, how we looked forward to Every episode of this joyful series…..I struggle to think of any other tv programme that was this good. It filled a huge gap in the “ irreverent, anarchic, cheeky and intelligent “ programming of the day. Thank you Everyone who fought to bring Red Dwarf to our TVs 👍👍👍🤗
Why are they talking about the programme as if I don't know what it's about?
The only one in the cast who hasn’t aged is Kryton ;)
Why wasn't the cat getting all excited from meeting the female cats? Because of his age and he doesn't care anymore, or did they just not care to put it in?
He's got the two female cats on Z deck
@@EndsWiithZin his dreams. They aren't actually there.
0:14 🤣
Not getting a coffe could be the LEAST of Cat's worries if he keeps this up!
Kryten was willing to let his head explode just to create something akin to a distress flare?! Hasn't he "blown his top" enough during season 7?!
