Feeling lost & navigating uncertainty in your 20s
Change and transitions will always be a part of life, so learning how to navigate them is essential.
In this video, we sit down and discuss my ways to navigate life changes. Whether you’re currently in a transition in your life (feeling as if you’re in a sort of in-between or limbo) or whether you’re experiencing small changes, I share mindsets, perspectives, and tools that can help make the process easier to navigate.
I’m not an expert at navigating life transitions and changes, but I found that with a few mindset shifts, reframing, and patience, I handle transitions and change in life better. Especially as someone in their 20s (i'm currently 23), I am facing so much uncertainty, change, and transitions, so I relate to anyone currently going through a time of uncertainty, change, and transition.
So, sit back, get cozy and let’s discuss how to handle change and navigate life transitions.
If you have any questions, leave them down below!
Until next time my friends.

      Thank you! It definitely is more peaceful without social media especially because it you’re not constantly plugged into to everyone else’s lives. I thought that it was crucial for me now more than ever to remove myself from social media since I’m in that phase of life where I’m still growing into who I am. And I knew that personally couldn’t happen if I was focused on everybody else but myself. Anyhow, thank you again for watching & I’ll be sure to check out your channel!!

    I like the idea of making an email to keep in contact with people you meet. I have been on and off social media for the longest time. But I recently quit in Feb 2024 and I don't think I will ever go back. I HATE social media SO MUCH, instagram in particular. Believe it or not, I haven't missed out on anything. In fact, I made more realistic friends, one of whom doesn't even use Instagram. I also joined discord servers based on my hobbies like reading, and I have a nice community around me that doesn't judge me based on my photo grid lol. I hate social media because the information is just too much for my poor brain. And I get very jealous looking at other people's lives. I feel like I have discovered myself more after quitting. I seem to be reaching a new level of self esteem that I would have never achieved if i was still trying to seek validation on instagram. Quitting social media also opened up huge chunks of time for me to do other productive things like working out, knitting, listening to audiobooks. I really recommend quitting. You won't miss out on anything!

    • @AaliyahInspired
      @AaliyahInspired 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I like that you use Discord servers to find communities that are based on your hobbies. I never thought to do that, especially since one of the main reasons people don't want to ditch social media is because of the sense of connection it gives them. I don't like how social media primed us to have short attention spans either. I hate the feeling of spending hours watching short-form content and not even being able to recall a single video I watched. And yes! FOMO is such a big fear. That's why I haven't permanently deleted my Instagram even though I've done so with FB, Snapchat, and Twitter. It's sort of my last lifeline to acquaintances & the digital world in general. Anyhow, thank you for your thoughtful response and for taking the time to watch the video!

    That was such a spot on point of emphasis that I really ressonate with! A could not agree with you more. I can not believe how many young people who are not living in the moment. Young people's do not truely love and accept themselves and have been led to believe that social status, money and achievements ar the way to happiness. That is conditional love and a bad recipy. It is dopaminergic in a literal sense because it literally trains the brain and nervous system to go for the next goal related dopamine hit instead of stopping and enjoying the moment. Young people in most western societies have to understand that they don't have to work to become good enough for self love achievement some day in the promise land. Instead, they have to have the mindset that they are already there.

    I was happy in a depressive situation but after being reminded how replaceable my life is, I realized if I ever want to meet any friends that might care about me, I gotta pretend to be someone who isn’t incredibly lonely and go outside by myself. It’s not fun going out at all but hey, at least I’m not spending every hour in my room doing things that actually relax me. But whatever, I’ve also realized that sitting alone at a bar doesn’t matter when all this will be dust in 1,000 or so years.

I’m obviously no therapist but I really hope you find people who makes you comfortable enough to be yourself and be able to open up and share what you are going through. Whenever I find myself in a depression, I tend to shut people out and stop making the effort to do the things that are good for my well-being and spark joy. After surgery how many minutes you feel the worse pain ? How many minutes the painkiller kick inn and how long the effect of it after surgery

      To be honest with you, I didn't have pain whatsoever! My mom is a nurse so she closely monitored the times I could take pain killers as sell as kept the ice packs coming almost hourly. My best advice is to take the pain killers a few 30mins to an hour before the dose before it wears off. I hope this helps!

Thank you so much for your support Also, I literally visited Ram Dass' home last summer in Hawaii! I've listened to a few of his lectures and watched his documentary but haven't read any of his books yet, but I've heard so many great things about Be Here Now. These are great suggestions, thank you! Also have you had the chance to finish The Alchemist yet???
