1982 Yamaha Virago 750 Cafe Racer build #yamaha #caferacer walk around
Hey guys, this is my 1982 Yamaha Virago 750 cafe racer build. Been a long process going back 5-6 years! It started as a clean title dust free Alabama bike.
This had the seat frame stripped and a custom one built. Some mods with the single carb, new short fender, wire harness shortening and a looot of little sold here and there. One of my friends started it and then myself and a local shop finished it up over the last 18 months.
Very fun but not a comfy Harley… but if that is what you want buy a Harley!
Great on short trips and makes some gray noise. What do you guys have? Anyone in the Chicago area up for a ride? Any tips tricks or recommendations let me know!!

Lexus LS430 and LS600hl Comparison and overview #lexusclub 300k miles and 200k miles of luxury
มุมมอง 23Kปีที่แล้ว
Walk around or the 2005 Ls430 and the LS600h. How do they compare? What do you think they are worth and what would you rather have? The LS600hl has 200k miles and the LS430 has 310,000 miles! Crazy right!? Amazing cars and highly recommended. What are you thoughts and what do you have? When I compare these to the German equivalents, I would never want to deal with the issues others have of this...

So far the passenger door lock actuator and window regulator was fixed, as well as all the filters in the car replaced. Replacing a timing belt on a 2004 Lexus LS430 Ultra Luxury. This original 309,000 mile car with a likely 200k long tim in belt is way too nice to let it fail! Getting Black Beauty back up and going. So far this LS had only some minor repair work needed and is so well kept for it’s mileage. Looks like no one even used the back seat! Any tips on repairs B pillar material?#lexusls #lexusclub

Lexus did nothing to correct the problem and replacement cost were - honestly - 16K for new dashboard and 2.5K to install. So I had is re-wrapped and a restoration shop in Denver for 3K. When i got my 1999 lexus ls400 at 325,000 miles, the last timing belt service reported was at 125,000 in 2004. When I did the timing belt job myself in 2019 shortly after picking it up the belt looked like it had 200,000 miles and had been on there for 15 years. Please change your timing belts every 90,000 or 6 years. The 6 years is because of the rubber degradation. You can neglect anything else on these cars just never the timing belt. Valves will run into the pistons and the engine is basically done without new pistons and valves.

Kinda difficult to say sometimes. I would say the 430 is smoother. But the 600 is quicker and quieter. But the engine of the 600 is louder

@@Mabeylater293 not that I know of. I know the 460 has that issue, but not sure if that is an issue to look for with the 600? If it is also typical, then I will add it to my list of anxieties.

Like most cars, the LS is a unibody. Unlike a truck that the body sits on the frame. Possibly the sub frame you are talking about? I personally am not a huge fan of wraps. You Have to get them done by very good professional to last long. Need to keep good care of them and they still only can last so long.

Had my LS430 for 8 years and I still absolutely love it, nothing has ever gone wrong, - drives absolutely beautifully and effortlessly. I hadn't a clue what I would replace it with (and have immediate plans to do so), but the LS600 does seem like an option :)

Well now the newest issue is some play in the rack… need to deep dive to see about what is happening and hope there is a work around rather than a very expensive new rack🫣

How is the fuel mileage on the LS600? I hear numerous stories that it isn't that great, and I'm thinking because of the CV transmission. So I'm kinda heading towards a diesel mercedes. I have a 60 mile commute daily, and I dont want to rack up miles on my ls430. I still want to get the 600, later on. Your ls430 looks great. I bought mine used with low mileage, but the seats are all cracked up front. Brand new in the back with the UL package.I'm in Illinois too, so if i spot you, I'll honk. I got maybe 3 or 4 ls430s in my area, but driven by older people. A guy I know was gonna give me a free LS400, but couldn't find the title right away, so he had to donate it. Code violations. So I got into them after that. I will be doing my front end too, but I might use polyurethane bushings.

Getting 23 mpg now with the LS600. Unfortunately we are still battling front suspension issues which can make a man go broke. All arms are done on the front and hoping the mounting perched on the struts are bad🤷. They hold air, but just getting a knock sound on the drivers side. I lucked out the original owner took really good care of the interior and added bolster material to keep the drivers seat fresh. I actually sold the 430 to a great guy who has been a Toyota/Lexus mechanic. He just did the window tint, so look out for him. If you see a front badge has the radar cruise plate, it might be the car since not many out there. I miss it already, but I can’t keep them all!

@@mechanicalintentions5431 I notice that on the LS460s and LS600, to many components in that front end. My 430 is knocking on the drivers side too. The airbag is good, but the shock is leaking a bit. I'm hoping it is only the bushings. I'll find out this week, if the weather cooperates. I'm disappointed that the ls600 gets poor gas mileage, the 430 does really well on the highway. I was hoping the same. I saw the 2014 ls600s, and they have really nice interiors but they are expensive still. Have a good holiday.
