Tabletop Concert 01 - Eek & Co
Inspired by NPR's excellent Tiny Desk Concerts we thought it'd be nice to invite some of our artists (present, past and future) to consider recording something similar. We're calling ours, "Tabletop Concerts" and the only thing we ask is that folks record them around a table (of any kind, anywhere). This first one was provided by Martyn 'eek' Cooper, Kate Cooper & Henry (with the support of their family & pets) at GNUF HQ in Hebden Bridge.
- BTW - For the record, this is just all of us doing something nice because we think that matters. :)

    Love this chap! Typical of the BBC to report this kind of stuff, while keeping quiet about grooming gangs and other related problems.

    When on the BBC, play music of British musicians - George Harrison and those of Queen

    why is hendrix the reference?? any flamenco or classical guitar player on a bad day can play rings around hendrix.

    • @buckyh7669
      @buckyh7669 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because hendrix is famous. Thats like saying he's the sebastian coe of the uke. Sebastian coe was one of the greatest middle distance runners, but only a certain niche of people know who he is. Same way with classical guitar and stuff. Comparing an unknown great to an unknown great to the general public just kinda ruins the point of the whole analogy. That was a bit of an exageration, but you get the idea.

      Hifijohn - you couldn’t be more right about that, but Bucky nailed it. Watch “Dragon” for an exploration of what the instrument is capable of in the hands of a true virtuoso not constrained by any sense of boundaries as to its potential. I’ve seen more than a few of Jake’s videos in the past several years, and his full Boh Rhap is great, but Dragon is on another level entirely. Jumping Flea, indeed.

      Richard Diaz their style is loose and relaxed, but I'm fairly certain if you ran a drum machine against this they'd keep coming back to the same beat. Also... What's your problem? Seriously.
