I'm 76 and until this year have been using my father's Homelite 16" electric saw. He must have bought prior to his move to a retirement community in 1985, so at least 40 years ago. Now the stud that holds the bar tight is stripped. It leaked bar oil too if you stored it with oil still in it. It had a manual pump oiler. The motor still works well but it looks like I would need to take apart and find the housing that includes the stud. Time for a new one I think. I also have an old small 25 SD Poulan gas saw and a very old HEAVY Poulan, all metal. VERY loud.

How much did I charge someone to install four of these lights?

Do you need a dimmer switch to run these or can you use same switch as original?

I just experienced this after doing a major top end job. HPFP, valve cover gaskets, cam girdle sealing, timing chain tensioners, valve cleaning and more. This one boggled me for a week. Glad to have found this, thank you! Thought I actually had a wiring issue and was going to open the harness.

Anyone have an issue with them being stuck on one color? I have 3 at the end of the line that got disconnected (low voltage wires) and when I rewired them, the wont change from red.

This mod will make no difference at all.. all you are doing is widening the gap for the air to get through.. without this mod the airbox has a smaller gap but the same amount of air comes through but it comes through quicker with a smaller gap.. its just like walking through a subway when the air rushes through. because the subway has a tunnel effect were the gap is smaller than the outside of the subway thethere is exact the same amount of air but less space for the air to get through which results in a more windy area..

can the chime device be set to make a different sound for the doorbell than motion detection? To differentiate between someone ringing the doorbell versus walking by?

I have a 23yr old electric homelite chainsaw I bought new for $40. And it just won't die It has been used every year for firewood season making logs smaller when near the house. The key thing I did is get a very thick Guage cord, it cost me $100! And keep the chain very sharp so doesn't strain the motor cutting, and get a good quality bar chain oil that isn't so thin and so doesnt spew out over everything.

I have had the same car at the mechanic's for three months and it has the same error G163 tomorrow I go and give it a try ... !!
