This is music from ON LOCATION - WHERE EAGLES DARE, a promotional featurette for the 1968 Richard Burton/Clint Eastwood film. I don't claim any rights to this music. And I don't even know if it was originally composed for the featurette or comes from another source. If you know where it's from, please share.
I don’t get it, why did she have to throw him in the basement, she could’ve just left him where he was and blamed the killer

I watch this every *Christmas*
Just watching this on Christmas Eve! Joan is amazing in this!!
Joan is brilliant at playing bitches
Young Joan Collins beautiful 😍
I watch this every year
Cheerful Christmas ..
Me too 😊
And me! It's brilliant!
We're f'd up individuals 🤷
I posted this to Facebook on Christmas Eve a few years ago. I heard my mom say to my dad “She likes weird things, obscure things. She’s weird. God, she’s so weird.”
"Hilário"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The New York Times
Damien Leone said this influenced him to have the Terrifier 3 story during Christmas and we got to see Santa Art. This was a great Tales from the Crypt segment.
That's how I got here😅
@@mizzbee1477 lol. me too.
Saw this in the movies with my parents and 2 friends what a great scary movie always was a fan of beautiful Joan Collins
This is a great movie - but what tickles me every time I watch it, is the fact that the Psycho Santa's hands are no-where near Joan's neck! He looks like he's giving her a deep shoulder/neck massage! Could be rather nice! LOL
😂😂
alaska brought me here
This short is so good. And Joan Collins is so fine. I wish I could find the Christmas songs that are playing, but could never find out what they were.
If you got the movie’s IMDB page all the music used in the movie is listed. I hope that helps.
You can find the songs on Classic FM Christmas radio, from UK.
They're all uncredited on the IMDb page. So near impossible to find the exact ones they used for the movie.
Oh Tidings of Comfort and Joy God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman Away in a Manger Oh Come All Ye Faithful Silent Night And I'm not even religious! 😂. We had to sing them at our school carol concerts here in England. They are very evocative of Christmas 😊. I'm just watching now!
@@strikeleather6503 As I understand he wants to know exact performers and arrangements?
Just realized AHS referenced this!
and big shout-out to whichever production designer for the fab-retro 70's set, top notch.............. ow, wait, that is ORIGINAL 70's design ???
Damien Leone who is the Director Of Terrifier and Terrifier 2 said he was inspired by this short for his upcoming Terrifier 3 movie which will be a Christmas film!
Never knew about this version
Creepy
She missed a trick by not pinning the murder on the killer
The ironic thing is that she could have taken advantage of the situation and told the police that the madman had killed her husband. There is no doubt that the police would have believed her. The fact that she tried to cover up her crime first before calling the police shows that she subconsciously felt guilt over killing her husband. Which ended up being her downfall.
More like she was scared of the police getting suspicious which is why she had to make it look like an accident.
@@mercenaryknight5419 there was a homicidal maniac on the loose, and she was a pretty woman with a dead husband and little girl. If she had told the police that the maniac killed her husband, they would have believed it.
I appreciate the remake of this in the 90s, but the original Santa is just as terrifying, if not more, because he looks so much like a normal mall santa. It really makes it creepy.
Hi Ur hot
I agree that this version is much better. The newer version had way too much pointless filler, long-drawn out struggle sessions and over the top screaming. In this one, the woman is smarter, she only tries to sneak outside once and stops trying when he finds her. The blond lady from the newer version goes outside not once, not twice but THREE times when there's a maniac stalking the house 🤦♀ At the end Blondie just stands there screaming, while Brunette is killed running to get her weapon (which she probably shouldn't have dropped in the first place, but at least she didn't just stand there). I absolutely adore the TFTC series, but I feel they shouldn't have tried to remake this one; it was perfect as is.
A classic I love it!
It’s Like If Michael Myers Starts His Killing Spree On Christmas Eve While Wearing A Santa Suit Instead Of His Mechanic suit
Amazing 70s stunt work at 8:43. He seems to roll ON HIS HEAD, the banister breaking looks legit unplanned and he ultimately seems to fall forward with the same momentum with pretty well disguised arm cushioning his fall . Just a good stunt. I've had to "fall" down stars before in a movie. It actually really sucks because your mind's desire to make it look good has to defeat your body's instincts to defend itself.
I think this would have worked better if Santa had essentially been playing Michael Myers (the Halloween one not Austin Powers)
They always do the opposite of what they should do
I almost wish Peter Cushing was still alive and had a Twitter account so I could ask him if he was okay. The emotion from that performance was incredible. Truly broke my heart. Rest in peace Mr. Cushing, you were quite the actor and I hope you’re with Christopher Lee right now in heaven.
I enjoyed the modern Tales version (well, the 80s one) more because while both women are murderers, the 80s murderer had more of a reason, and there was more heightening, and, IMO, a scarier finale (even though both endings are the same).
Makes me cry because the world can be so cruel especially to good people
Alternate title: stupid child gets mother killed
this segment is so well done it’s nuts
Where can I find the comic version of this story? Is it in a tales from the crypt vol?
Is it Joan Collins?
He shoulder rubbed her to death? Lol
I watched this movie since 2007 every Christmas Eve as a ritual. Also, I tune to Classic FM reguary each Xmas after I saw this movie, this scene in particular. And I use "criminally insane" to describe anyone who annoys me. hehehe That I call impact of a movie that can have on someone.
Same here.
damn alexis that's cold
Dame Joan Collins is SO beautiful ❤❤❤
Such a sad story but the ending is so badass. 😄
My dad took my brother and I to see this when we were little kids back in 1972 or 73. When we lived in the Bronx. Fordham Road movie theater.
My dad took us out to see this at the drive-in in 1972. It scared the crap out of me back then. Of course I was only like 5 years old.
It's 13 minutes of utter brilliance, on a shoestring budget - one woman, one director, more than able support from corpse, Daughter and Santa. And the use of the Christmas tunes - genius. The other stories suffered a bit in comparison.
That is exactly what I thought...
Poisiin pen letters has this dine over a 10 year period now cyberstalkera do it
The neck rub at the end always tickled me
Saw this in the theater upon release.
I mean the lady did deserved it like she killed her husband for money
Karma has a way of catching up to sinners that kill for money.
The photograph you see at 5:08 at the lower left-hand part of the screen is a real photo of Helen Cushing, Peter's beloved wife. She passed away shortly before this movie was made making this all the more emotional and sad.
It is, but its also a testament to his professionalism, his skill, and his love of the craft that even then he just wanted to be out there working still. He was that old school of working British actor, he wouldn't have wanted people fussing and asking him about it and walking on eggshells.
Joan was freaking hot here
The really sad thing about this story is you don't really have to change any of the plot to update it for the present day: just swap out electronic messages for the handwritten poison pen cards.
