Suzuki GS650, best vintage cruiser motorcycle?
มุมมอง 3.9Kปีที่แล้ว
Here I review a 1983 Suzuki GS650GL. This is the first review video where I give the motorcycle a rating. I try to be as accurate as possible, but the numbers come from my opinions and experience with the bike. I hope you enjoy the video!
Fixing a 600 Dollar Motorcycle!
มุมมอง 11Kปีที่แล้ว
For this project, I bought a 600 dollar 1983 Suzuki GS650 that hasn't run in years. In this video I go through the process of diagnosing problems and repairing them to get it back on the road. This vintage motorcycle still has a lot of life left in it, so it deserves to be ridden!

Watch as I fix my vintage Kawasaki crotch rocket! Bought off of craigslist, this motorcycle has problems that need to be fixed before I get to ride it. In this video I find those problems and address them before taking it out on the road. It is a 1988 Kawasaki ZX1000.
Big dent in 2-stroke pipe, still works?

I put this massive dent in my pipe, I'm wondering how it still hits power band and has power.
Riding a Beautiful 1989 Yamaha FZR 600
มุมมอง 26K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I take my 1989 Yamaha FZR 600 for a ride by the Poudre river. While this bike may be old, it can still be a blast to ride. I also consider it to be one of the best looking motorcycles ever, but that is just my opinion. My skills as a videographer are not great, but I hope you can enjoy this video and learn a bit about the FZR 600.
Yamaha V-Star 650 Ride and Review
มุมมอง 69K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I show you my 2008 V-star 650 custom by taking it to horsetooth reservoir in Fort Collins Colorado. In the future I plan to improve my camera setup and invest in a microphone so that I do not have to voice over the video, and eliminate the wind noise. Thanks for watching and I hope I give you some good info about this motorcycle!

Where are these trails?
I bought one of these brand new in 1978 in Australia. I can still remember riding it out of the showroom. I had so much fun on it I wish I still had it and never sold it. I remember going for my full license on it back in the day when a policeman followed you on their police road bike. At the time I was running vegetable oil in it. Half way through the test the officer pulled me over and asked what I was running in it. I told him. He said get rid of it if he or his fellow officers saw me and I was running that oil in it again they would charge me. I just loved the smell of it. He was all red in the face from the smell and being so cranky I’m sure they couldn’t actually charge me for running that oil didn’t stop me 😂😂😂 Oh the memories I have so many on that bike. So happy to see one still running 👍👍👍👍
You shouldn't be trusting 10 year old tires AT ALL to ride on. Jeezus
You found it . Some of the dt s have a spark advance on the shaft . It’s little arm with a spring that move the position of the hump bump on the old points and condenser . Causes r the same problem 😎👍🇺🇸
I have the GS750, got it less than a grand and loving it. Little elbow grease to get it running, but well worth it.
Nice
Remove fly wheel casing grab a socket and drill put on the nut run the drill and it will start it, once running check for rich mix, do all checks to troubleshoot. Also through the flywheel casing you can mount an electric start short motor instead of connecting the shaft just weld a socket to it and an old bicycle bmx rear sprocket case (grind tooth off. Sprocket engages only one way so make sure to weld facing the correct side so when engine running the sprocket rolls freely, wire to battery, earth, start relay from Yamaha and a start/kill button
Don't forget to re-grease the sprocket bearings with high speed bearing grease. Cost is: Starter Sprocket Weld A few bolts to mount motor to case Relay, wire and the start/stop button
Dude great video! Love the channel. I'm in Fort Collins/Loveland and do quite a bit of car/moto videos as well. Keep up the killer work! My channel: www.youtube.com/@OctaneElectrons
So sick! I have a 78 DT400 myself and love it. Such a cool bike to ride, honestly blows my mind that at one point that was a brand new bike sold for the streets lol. You seem to have similar taste in bikes as me as I’ve been looking into getting a KDX200 lately lol seem like sweet bikes that would be a better true enduro bike so I can use that for harsher stuff I don’t wana ruin my DT400 on lol
The FZR 6 was my first sport bike, what an amazing bike!…is it for sale? I am in CO, lmk. Great video 👍🏻✊🏻💨
I have a 2011 zzr1400 but I still want one of these 😁♥️

They are underpowered but handle like a dream. Just get the correct tires listed for the bike. The front is different than the classic or silverado. I had a tire 10mm wider than spec on the front for a while. Changed it to the correct size and it handled like a Porsche. Had this exact same bike. Also, had to run 30W fork oil in the ftont to keep it from nose diving during braking. You can also do the golf tee mod from the forums and the exaust popping on decelleration will go away... It is a great beginner bike for around town. It does not do well in headwinds on the highway or steep hills. It also scrapes easily when leaning. The good news is that once you master this riding style and position all skills transfer to the 1300. Feels like the same bike only more powerful and with better ergonomics, especially if you are a tall rider.

Had that exact same bike 40 years ago. What a monster.Would burn rubber on asphalt in every gear.Loved to watch my dad ride it.He was a power junkie like us.Great bike and happy to see them still around.Good times.
Did you fix the brakes and check the baffle for clogging? What about the right crankcase seal? It has a fair amount of smoke which makes me suspect the seal may be leaking. Other than that it looks like a blast! Single trail riding at its best.
I got the brakes working well, and the muffler was clear. I didn't think it was smoking much, I would be worried more if it wasn't smoking!
Nice ride but remember that this is a 50 year old engine. The seals in the engine are probably all shot. The smoke you see is likely oil being sucked into the engine. First thing to do is remove the engine and replace both seals. I would recommend that all seals in the engine be replaced. After reassembling the engine do a leak down test just to make sure. A leaky intake gasket can be really exciting as the engine will keep revving to the moon. If that happens you can even turn off the ignition and it will keep revving. Hit the choke and hope it stops(it usually does). Second, check the exhaust pipe and pull the baffle and get your propane torch and burn off the crap filling the holes. That is likely the cause of the top enf not being crisp. With the smoke(transmission oil) being burnt the baffle will clog up quickly. Third, fix the brakes and get a new chain before you ride it again. 😜 Great bike. Big bore two strokes are the most fun you can legally have! Yeah, they vibrate and are noisy and pollute the air horribly, but man are they fun.
Thanks for the advice! I may end up taking the engine apart this winter. Or I'll sell it, because I am always looking for different projects.

Timing is off
Bought a new cocktail yellow 1995. Still think it was the best looking FZR600 ever made.
Fun times 👍🏼
Would like to roll like a pimp on a '84 IT 490. Nope Kdx 200 way easier to handle
You either got it or you dont.
Central Newfoundland is in the middle of the woods. No prisoners there man.
Bro, I rode my '85 KDX 200 hard for 10 years in Central Newfoundland. Best off-road bike.
Another thing most didn't know about, was the gas tank was fake. The air box was underneath it. The real tank, you had to remove the seat, to get access to.
Nice work ! I had hoped to see where all the vaccum lines went for the tank and air box so I could assemble my 90 zx10. Same leaks but in pieces when i got it. Hoping to find a diagram. Careful on that thing. Lol
I used to have one of those bikes' cool bikes to have
That underwater sound was hilarious, cool bike tho
Buy a Vape ignition system, that'll sort it, set the timing and it'll fire up every time
Get some gloves. You'll thank me later because you will fall off at some point. Clean the carb and check the jetting against stock jetting. You might not be getting enough fuel at high rpm. Check where the slide lock is at too.
