The Winfield VFD TH-cam Channel was created in order to share training and informational video clips with our membership throughout the course of the year. You will find the videos pertinent to the equipment and procedures related to the operations of the Winfield VFD - not any other fire/rescue department. Thermal Imager - Duty 14 Vehicle
This video clip reviews the basic operation of the FLIR-C thermal imaging camera now carried on the Duty 14 vehicle. The imager is meant for command officer/duty officer use on the exterior of a structure fire but can be used "inside" if precautions are taken to keep it away from hose streams.

Engine 141 - New Nozzles on Attack Lines

This short video clip provides an overview of the new attack line nozzles on Engine 141. The new nozzles are the Elkhart Chief XD nozzles and have the same features (flow and operating pressure) as the nozzles that were replaced. One of the "old" nozzles is now carried in the driver's compartment. We hope to replace Engine 142's attack line nozzles in FY20.
Engine 142 - Hose Appliances Update - July 2019

This short video clip highlights the changes made to Engine 142's hose appliances. In short, the 5" siamese is now mounted on the tailboard which freed up space to carry a 5" Jumbo Wye in the rear compartment. The rig now has a "full" water supply package to support high-volume water supply operations and tanker loading operations.

Husky Strap in Use on a Jet Siphon

A short video clip showing a Husky strap being used to secure a jet siphon stream. Also, a good looking jet siphon stream. Make note of how the stream is "full," meaning solid with no gaps. Also note that the discharge end of the stream is OUT of the water, because when we turn the jet siphon off when the tank is full, the suction hose becomes a siphon if the discharge end is left in the water.

In this clip we see the basics of deploying and stowing the the second new dump tank on Tanker 14. The new tank is similar in size and shape to the officer side dump tank, the only difference is the manually operated storage rack.

I was a volunteer to are team! Company 14! I was a junior and took ff1 and hasn't I had problems in life! One a brother always a brother! Firefighters prayer!
