It's Worth It
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 3 ส.ค. 2020
We're a family of 8, with 3 dogs and a cat sacrificing everything to chase a dream. We've been led and carried by God, and our story is unfolding in His time. We spent years stressed with little quality family time while daddy busted out 60-70 hr weeks working for the man. Lost a job of 15 yrs, and instead of reshackling to the workforce...we sold a home we spent 7 yrs customizing and making our own in order to start this new journey. We know that family is far more important than the security of a steady paycheck. We want to show our kids that the things worth having in this life don't come easy. We want to show them how to work, and the fruits of those labors. We are building our dreams into reality. We are creating a legacy and foundation of the importance of family, faith in God, and trust in His plan and timing. We hope that our story will inspire you to follow your dreams, and fight for what is right for you and yours. It's not all easy, BUT it's SO worth it!
How To: Custom Self Cleaning/Venting Cat Bathroom!
A few months back we did added a custom cat bathroom to our RV. It is completely contained, it self cleans, and self vents and has changed our lives! It has an app so we can track when and how frequent cats are using the litter box. Even if we’re out running errands or out of town and we want to clean the litter box we can, at the touch of a button on our phones. Here is the link to the cat genie we ordered from Amazon CatGenie A.I. Self-Cleaning, Fully-Flushing, Self-Scooping, Automatic Cat Box, Small (Latest Model) a.co/d/e6gfaEB

DIY: How We Built The Ultimate Chicken Coop!
มุมมอง 1.5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
We were ready to grow our flock and needed a bigger and better coop situation. Ingrid had slapped together a temporary fix a few years ago when we inherited some chickens and materials. This is a completely custom design. We needed more space, and Jeff was able to also make it easier to access eggs, and bring ease to the dirty process of cleaning up after a large flock of birds. We love our fre...
DIY Firepit Benches Made From Reclaimed Lumber
มุมมอง 1.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
We were able to recycle some great lumber into some more esthetically pleasing, sturdier, and less splintery firepit seating. Total cost was $27 for wood filler, and wood sealer.
DIY Pallet Planter Tower
มุมมอง 4822 ปีที่แล้ว
The kids wanted to plant a garden as one of their Summer activities. We're starting off small, and doing an experiment of sorts. We haul water so we needed something that could retain moisture efficiently while also allowing for appropriate drainage.....and we love cheap or free projects that better our quality of life. We're learning and growing each day. This design makes watering and weeding...
DIY: Old Tire Stepping Stones
มุมมอง 8622 ปีที่แล้ว
These kids have endless energy, and can always use another thing to climb on or spur their imagination. When a friend had some old tires sitting around that they needed to get rid of, I saw an opportunity for some family fun! We buried theses tires upright for some obstacle style stepping stones. Free projects are my favorite kind. Got a little sweaty, and dirty, but IT'S WORTH IT to see these ...
How To-Raise Your Own Mealworms
มุมมอง 3972 ปีที่แล้ว
We have lots of chickens and ducks, we love to fish, and we homeschool our six children.....so why not raise our own mealworms. It has been quite the experiment, but we're doing it. We've successfully gone full circle and are raising our own mealworms. The kids have been involved every step of the process. Materials needed: Plastic Containers Oatmeal Starter mealworms Egg cartons Carrots and or...
DIY House Numbers Sign: Quick/Easy/Cheap
มุมมอง 7242 ปีที่แล้ว
We needed to label our property. People either can’t find us, or mistake us for other properties up here on the mesa. This was a quick, easy, and super cheap solution. Materials needed: old pallet, number stencil, wood burner, and screws. We love how it turned out, and people can find us easier
DIY Free Fire Pit
มุมมอง 9273 ปีที่แล้ว
The kids have been begging to do a fire since we moved here a year and a half ago. So we finally made a fire pit. Super easy, and at no cost. We dug a hole and used rocks from the property. Now we’re ready to make lots of memories!
DIY In-Ground Trampoline: On A Budget
มุมมอง 40K3 ปีที่แล้ว
We searched for months for a trampoline that met our specifications….. we gave up looking and a few months later saw an ad for just what we wanted at a killer deal. We bought this 10’x 17’ trampoline from Upper Bounce. We like to bury our trampolines. It makes it easier for smaller kids to access, and you don’t have to worry about a gust of wind carrying away. Not to mention it’s just more esth...
Traditions: Churning Homemade Vanilla Custard
มุมมอง 4963 ปีที่แล้ว
Traditions are so special for families. You create lasting memories, find unity and forge bonds unique to other random interactions. We look forward to churning homemade vanilla custard every summer. We couldn’t let summer end and school start before checking that off our summer bucket list!! Feel free to watch as we continue to learn and experiment while we build our dream home mostly off grid...
Girls Only Trip!
มุมมอง 6673 ปีที่แล้ว
At the beginning of July Jeff had a father son camp out with a group from our church and I went on a little road trip with just the girls. We were able to attend a family reunion in Utah and do a bunch of other fun things while we were at it! Feel free to watch as we continue to learn and experiment while we build our dream home mostly off grid in the middle of nowhere! There is sure to be more...
HOW TO: DIY Replace RV Mushroom Roof Vent
มุมมอง 8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Our Mushroom roof vents were original to our rig, and they were SO sad and broken. They weren’t actually doing their job at all. The punch out holes in the roof for the vents were actually still in tact. The sealant was badly cracked. It wasn’t until we got to removing them that we saw the screws were done at an angle (not even in the meat of the roof) because the assembly line workers were too...

We had a little bit of a fire scare on the Mesa. We are counting our blessings that the moisture put it out before it could spread and cause serious problems!! There is sure to be more epic projects like this one if you stick around and watch:) Follow us: instagram.c...
HOW TO Correctly Install/Replace RV Vent Fan
มุมมอง 83K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The original fan in our bathroom was tiny and was doing a terrible job of ventilating. We wanted something that could efficiently pull air up and out. We show you step by step what you need to do to replace/install a new RV Vent Fan. For this project we used a drill, table saw, drywall knife, lacquer thinner w/rag, butyl tape, and lap sealant. Here is a link to the fan we installed www.amazon.c...
Rifle Falls: Perfect Hike For Young KIDS
มุมมอง 3543 ปีที่แล้ว
We were able to get in some outdoor family fun. We found a super short easy hike for the younger kids that Jeff could swing with his sciatic issues. There are plenty of little caves to explore along the way and the rewarding falls! We grabbed a snack to refuel before heading over to the fish hatchery where the kids got to feed the rainbow trout and we got to watch a golden eagle chow down on so...

Why did you bury the shipping container.
Why did you bury your shipping container. We have used the litter box works great
I just came across your channel. You guys are awesome ❤
@@shibba24 welcome to the chaos 🤣
Your vision is awesome and your husband is very skilled. Your creativity and innovation is so inspiring and super helpful to me. I have embarked on a project I'm renovating RVs for homeless veterans so everything you do is guiding me on my own venture. Wishing you continued good luck and health with all your work I'm sure it will be fantastic in the end! ❤
That mold can migrate into your camper. The straw needs to be up off the ground too.
You don't want hay, you want straw.
I bought an amaze 600 watt heater from Amazon, but it doesn't get very warm. It only heats about a 5x5 area. It said he heated a 300 sqft, mine doesn't.
@@lynetteturner223 you’ve gotta be doing something wrong… The 600 watt heaters we’ve seen do 200 sq ft. Where do you have it mounted? Is it under a window or next to an exterior door? Also, are you keeping the room closed off? It’s really meant to heat an enclosed space not an open space cause then it can’t keep up with the demand. How many square feet are you trying to heat? Our kids will often turn off their heaters, cause it makes the room too warm….My husband actually used these for a client’s basement. They did 2- 600 watt heaters, one on either side of the common area basement which is about 400 sq feet and it does an excellent job. We actually just ordered one for our kids playhouse too.
Thank you!
Awesome awesome omg y'all did what I can see now im going to follow to do bunk room so important to and wow lady beautiful design and colors are great
Thank you for sharing love shipping container
Lmao me to thanx for video Such a real issue
Do you put the ducks in at night? Any predators? I live in town and have back yard ducks and thought they would be fine since the chickens had been for so long but something killed my two ducks and it was a vicious horrible way to go. I still don't know what it was but the ducks I have now are locked up at night even though they don't really want to be every night. Do you still have the ducks? I love how they stomp in puddles just like a little kid
How would you rate the bounce in that tramp? Thanks for the video.
@@jimmybokinskie-reellifevid9623 it’s wonderful, and has held up well!
Can ANYBODY tell me why you would float concrete smooth to bury it?
Your lumber is apparently a lot cheaper than ours. Did uou go to a standard big box store?
Hipolito Brook
This part is pretty easy in my mind but what i can seem to find info on is how to make the bottom of my "up top" slide go in ie seat correctly when closed. Ive looked under the bed but i dont see anything wrong
Do you have the blueprints for this dinette?
Where did you get those folding chairs for extra seating at the table?
@@ShortyzProductionz we got them from COSTCO years ago.
@@itsworthit5029 Ahh dang, those are perfect for that
Do you have the link to the digital thermostat with controller ?
You know where the adjust meant for side to side? One side seems to come in tighter as it should the other still decent but not like the other side
The two bolts he first loosened allow for horizontal adjustment of the slide as well as vertical, there are slots for both and one overlays the other allowing for adjustments in both dimensions.
Very impressive!
Remove the hay bail?
Great video, love the music!
Why would you use such narrow butyl tape? and why predrill your holes? the if you use the right screws, they are very pointed and don't need predrilling. I'm wondering, has it leaked yet?
Could have smooth it out those Caulk beads with a wet finger
Drilling way too many holes Exclamation point😮 More places for it to leak Liquid Nails Flex tape glue Could also put O-rings on the bottom of the screws For experience and Contraction
Could you use fast forward when you were trimming the the vent cover and also putting the gasket on wow that's a couple minutes of my life I'll never get back😂
All I saw in this video was the diy fire bomb and rodent farm y'all installed around the rv.
Thank you for this video… always appreciate somebody that knows how to get right to the point. Quick question… This video is about adjusting the slide vertically… Do you happen to know how to adjust the slide horizontally? My slide is connecting on the rear side but has a gap towards the front
Sister, I hope you realize how lucky you are to have a man who can and will do all that amazing, hard work!!???!!! Wow wow wow, what a difference, that RV looks like a beautiful home....amazing job to you both. You look like you're a great "team". My hubby and I are same, we are always doing projects together. ❤ Your videos, we are new subscribers.
OUTSTANDING VIDEO! THANK YOU! I dont see a way that you could have made this project any more clear and simple for my ADHD/PTSD brain to understand. But, without a lengthy chat session or over explanation. You made this project about as easy to understand and CLEAR to see as you went along as any videos that i have seen. I have a LOT of smaller but important projects like this that I need to take care of. But, I've had a hard time finding videos as clear as yours that also don't waste a bunch of time and bore/confuse the HDHD brain. Thank you so much. I can't wait to check out your other videos, hoping that you have some for my other projects as well. Happy Traveling!
My god where are you guys. Just found this channel and watched all videos and now im sad that you are not posting anymore. Your husband is a master and you are a good wife of course. Please come back. Why not film your home build that would be amazing look at channels that do it they get so may views. Think about it
Yes because I'm building also post y'all's build
What about the opposite ? My bottom on one side is has a gap and the floor to the slide won’t go flush with the rest of the slide out . What do I do for that ?
When you want to listen to how much noise the new fan makes loud music is playing so you cant hear the fan !!!!!
Very well documented and good thorough work! Thank yall so much!
6 kids? Jesus christ..
Yup! Our preferred chaos:)
Nice job great video Thanks 👍
How is the water level on washer
Will that fit in a Skoolie?
No dicor to seal the new vent to the roof?
6 kids and pets😳ain't no way😅
I think my slide is the opposite. Seems the bottom is out a little farther. Idk my slide won't come out now. Hydraulic seem to be full the motor is working. But it stopped coming out. I got it out about 6in now it won't do anything.
Hi, can you share what size are the table and the chairs? I would like to build one in my camper
How's your laundry center holding up? Any issues after 3yrs?
Wonderfully:) As you can imagine we do AT LEAST one load of laundry daily 🤪
@@itsworthit5029 Thanks for responding so quick. Can you fit a full size padded mattress cover in it?
Nice explanation. Thank u
HOPE YOU FOUND A BETTER WAY TO DO THAT.
Great informative install. Now I can tackle the same issue on my Toy Hauler.
fantastic job
Exactly what I needed thank you! Great job!
