WISCONSIN DUCK OPENER DAY 2! Public Land Duck Hunt!
Day 2 of the Southern Wisconsin Duck Opener in the backwaters of the Mississippi river! Danny, Devin, & I hunted the same spot we were in Saturday because we saw birds still landing in the same pocket all evening. It was definitely a lot slower and we had to pack up early to head back home unfortunately, but we still managed to down 5 woodies by 8 am. Hope you guys enjoyed the video, stay tuned for more vids!

First Duck Hunt In The Kayaks! Mixed Bag & Luke's First Duck Ever!!
มุมมอง 1364 ปีที่แล้ว
This was our first time hunting with our kayaks and it turned out to be a huge help. We got to spots where others were unable to get to by foot and it definitely paid off and made retrieving a lot easier. We ended the day with 5 birds, 2 redheads, 1 greenhead, 1 woodie, and 1 ruddy duck. This video was filmed back in October of 2019, but we just got around to uploading it now. Be sure to like, ...
I SHOT MY FIRST DRAKE REDHEAD & MALLARD ON THE SAME HUNT!
มุมมอง 1064 ปีที่แล้ว
On this hunt Josh shoots his first ever Drake Redhead and Drake Mallard both on the same hunt. These birds were loving our decoy spread and we definitely should have had a few more, but with poor shooting and Travis getting a bit inpatient we missed a few opportunities. This hunt was still great and we ended the day with 5 birds total, 1 Greenhead, 2 Drake Redheads, and 2 Bluewing teal. #duckhu...

Travis shot his first ever redhead and it was a stud of a bird and will be going on the wall! We also get checked by a super friendly game warden and ended out day with 6 birds total. 5 bluewing teal and 1 redhead! #duckhunting #ducks #ga...
This Hunt Was A Struggle! Wisconsin Southern Zone 2nd Opener!
มุมมอง 945 ปีที่แล้ว
This hunt was a struggle! Josh, Mike, and JT head out for the Wisconsin southern zone 2nd opener on the duck boat. This was definitely the windiest day of the season so far and was our first good cold front. After almost losing 2 birds, but finding one at the last minute we managed to end the day with 1 Blue Wing Teal and 1 Hen Ringneck. Hope you guys enjoyed the video and well catch ya in the ...

This was definitely one of the slowest hunts we have ever had, but we still managed to get one Greenhead out of it and Mike decided he wanted to fall off the boat into the water. My First Ever Bufflehead!! | Wisconsin Public Land Duck Hunt 2018!!
มุมมอง 1825 ปีที่แล้ว
We decided to take the boat out on the lake in hopes of getting on some divers and mallards, but unfortunately ran into issues with the boat motor which caused us to set up in a spot we have never set up on before. Even though this was probably the slowest day we have had all season we still managed to scratch out 2 Hen Buffies which happen to be Josh's first ever bufflehead! We weren't able to...

AMAZING Private Field Hunt For Honkers! Wisconsin Goose Hunt 2017!
I know why it's hated... they recoil hard (compared to a gas gun) can have cycling issues just depends on the individual sample... and in my particular case the barrel extension where the bolt locks into the barrel assembly broke. NOW prior to that moment it cycled everything I fed it from the (previously) $20/100 winchester universals to duck loads. Shot a few hundred shells per week all through college. I replaced a few extractors along that period with a benelli m2 extractors otherwise just cleaned it weekly and it kept going. Benelli/stoeger also warranty repaired the barrel extension... so I have no complaints but I do understand those who buy a gun and run out to the clay field and get disappointed... if even 10% of these guns do that I completely understand why it's hated. Glad you like yours. I like mine as well but for what it's worth my m2000 now sits in the safe 95% of the time... perfectly functional.... but i now favor a beretta a400...
I own the M2000 and M3000. I dont understand why people hate on them so much?? Excellent shotguns and for the price, you can beat them up with no shame… i have used mine as a paddle and a crutch as well.
Mine has worked like a champ for years
What’s that thing called that you lost that was chrome and you bought later black, I lost mine and trying to get a new one
That would be the charge handle. Lol just came out while hunting! But if ya search Stoeger M2000 charge handle you’ll find them online!
I have over 4000 rounds thru mine and has some wear making it get hung back. Have filled the wear down and working great again.
I would never buy a Turkish made shotgun. With the money spent on a new Stoeger 2000, you could have bought a good used Browning at a pawnshop.
lol, a used gun you have no clue what has been done to it
I have hunted with mine for over 10 years, killed many squirrels and a few deer, even some hogs with it... wouldn't trade it for any other shotgun. It's also been 100% reliable while hunting.
Most if the people hating the gun don't know how to take care of one
What choke do you have in this video?
got mine when i was 14 ill be 27 this year . nothing has ever broken or fallen off . i love mine
Mine works flawlessly i clean and oil after every 2 uses and never had any issues everyone who said this and that about this model when i checked out theirs the inside was all gunked up dry and sticking
Bought one about 15 yrs ago. Never fired. Take it out and nothing. Click, no boom. The grease/oil/s**t they lubed at the factory turned to tar. Clean the heck out of it. Then, firing pin does not hit the primer at all. And, bolt release is stiffer than Biden's neck. Find out this is common. Sending apology letter to Mossberg.
What color did you get for the waders
I love my 2000, this is my second one. I sold the first when I was short on cash and regretted it immensely. I replaced it as soon as I could and this one has also ran flawlessly all these years. When it comes to guns, most people don't have any experience with them before they're willing to regurgitate the same things they read online about them.
I loved my 2000 and used it for 10+ years, but I definitely had issues with it. These guns are 100% known for having ejection & cycling issues. While for the price the 2000 was at when it was knew it was amazing and best bang for the buck, but I decided to upgrade to an SX4 2 years ago and will never look back. The ejection/cycling issue has seemed to still carry over into the 3000 and 3500 as well which kind of sucks cause I loved my ol Stoeger. I do agree that a lot of people who shoot guns especially hunters don’t know much about the actual guns themselves though. Everyone definitely has mixed reviews on everything, but even the 3 different gunsmiths I took my gun too when I had issues with it all said the same exact thing. That the Semi auto stoegers are known for cycling issues and really the only way to help prevent it is too run these guns super oily.
Good hunt guys!
Thanks man! Definitely have to get use to editing/filming again lol! I appreciate it though! Good Luck this weekend if you're going out.
@@RacksWingsOutdoors hopefully. Out of town this weekend but may be able to squeeze in two hunts with friends while in Green Bay for some other stuff.
@@SomewhereInWisconsin ahh okay, well hopefully everything works out and you’re able to get on some birds!
Jerks left me behind!! Sad day..
My 2000 runs great. It shoots any kind of ammo (and any size) I’ve ever used, and I buy cheap because all I shoot is clays and targets. Has never, ever jammed or broken, and the recoil is not bad. Love it!
I have an m2000 myself, no issues with 3", but low recoil or 2 3/4 do not cycle. This is my primary hunting shotgun and I am pleased.
Try replacing your O-rings they may be bent. Have the same gun with a wood stock, all low brass i've shot cycled flawlessly besides some Remington "Gun Club" target loads that had issues at first but ran flawlessly after a quick tear down and clean(considering I just bought it and shot it dirty pretty happy with these results from this $300 beaut. )
Mine runs flawlessly
I've had one for over 10 years now and it works great. Geese, dove, and skeet. Real smooth.
I love my M2000 same as yours.. The one problem I've ever had is the bolt charge handle broke about 5 seasons back. I just leave the broke round piece in you can cycle it with a stick. I've hammered few thousand 3" mag waterfowl rounds. Fires every trigger pull. I've never had any rounds jam.
Cuz thats funny , thats a stickcharger ! I hve a 2000 with an ext. tube I bought for cheap, and an M1 super 90. The 2000 kicks harder.
Deer?
I have the same identical gun
It’s been two years, how they holding up?
Mike Remillard still doing amazing! Best purchase by far
How’s the material? Do they rip or anything? We hunt in a lot of sticks
Love it. Ive got this gun in black. I have a 18 and 28 inch barrel
nope
Just got this gun and when I put shells in the mag tube and pull the handle back it doesn’t chamber a shell any idea what it could be?
There is a release on the trigger guard, hit that and the shell will drop in.
I just purchased one
looking for recommendations for 12 g shotgun for trap and hunting. Pump, Over Under or Semi Auto. is there any reason A hunting shotgun could /would not be good for trap of vice a versa. Needs to be at least 26 in long barrel. Thanks for any help.
love this gun. I have the one with a pistol grip. stock a little bit too long gonna cut it down a bit. awesome.
I like the way you mounted them mine are mounted on the side on my track didn`t want to drill a lot of holes in my Jackson . Good video
Great video and channel! I subbed.
Sweet video boys! I dropped a sub! If you wouldn’t mind checking out my channel I’d appreciate it. I’m a few states away but planning an October trip up there next year!
I have the same gun with the Advantage woodland camo. Ive had it about 7-8 years now. I 'down graded' from some fancy clay guns to this one, and just as you said, it shoots everything. Great gun, shoots any shell Ive fed it but I reload my shells to mimic WIncherster AA super sporting clay loads. It has been one great shotgun and none of the stuff the interwebs cried about ever happened. The camo didnt flake off, the barrel didnt split, the chokes didnt stick....I think that was all the people upset about buying a $2000 shotgun and having buyers remorse.
You got a good one. I have one too and it's the most trouble free auto I've ever owned. I've had: Browning Auto 5 & Gold, Remington 11-48, 1100, 11-87 etc. The M2000 is light and works every time. I put a better pad on it and changed the pitch a little but that's all. Love it. BOUGHT IT USED FOR 250! It is essentially a Benelli M1 made in Turkey
How are they holding up?
Great so far, no issues at all.
yall need to scout and set up in one spot instead of paddling around like a bunch of duck commander wannabes
We actually had guys come in late and setup less than 100 yards from us so we moved instead of causing an argument and then paddled around where we knew no one was at... but thanks
Congrats on the birds. Stop showing the lot! Do your outro in the woods! Now I know where you were hunting! Could tell it was there anyway, or at least thought.
Thank you and yeah I didn't think of it until after I uploaded. Usually try to avoid recording in the parking lot, but I think most people that are from around here know where that is just from footage on the trail. Definitely not gonna do the outro in the lot again lol.
I have that same shotgun and never had a problem with it. I've killed many dove and duck over the years.
I just recently bought a new shotgun before this season due to the gun not cycling the 2nd shell, but I have been using it for about 10 years so I can't complain.
There was way too much water this year
I agree! Still was a fun time!
@@RacksWingsOutdoors Btw great Videos
@@JJstram84 Thanks man!
What year did they discontinue the M2000
I'm not 100% sure I have had this gun for close to 8 years
Fuck u !!!! Why did u kill him murderer
How did these work for you and how is the paint holding up?
I love mine!!! I've found that if you shoot the higher velocity (anything 1280 or higher) ammo it never jams even the cheap stuff.
Randy Saylor that explains why it would eject but the new shell wouldn’t load back in I was using Rios at first never jammed (1350) then I switched to hurters and they shoot at (1250) every 5-10 shots I would have to manually remove it
Until you get it broke in
I have the same gun man I will give you little hint on making that gun shoot what ever ammo you want get you some steel wool man and polish the hell out of that barrel man and you will see tramendous increase in titer patterns and more pellets in the area you aiming at and better function steel wool the barrel use 00 steel wool then go to 000 wool and the last is 0000 quadruple and you will be amazed it will be as good as a banelli
Use your cleaning rods to get the wool in there? Sorry, I’m a total rookie and thinking about this model. Thanks
Looking for these choke tubes for my M2000. Would you mind telling me which diameter it is for sure? Having trouble since their website doesn't have a tube finder! Thanks!
Any info on chokes for m2000?
I'm looking at getting one it is in the walnut stock!
You will love it!
I have the gun but idk if it will do alright if it gets in the water Bc I plan on duck hunting with it?
What size did you get ?
Not sure if they have the size I got in the 2-1 anymore, but i got the 13 Stout
Love mine too....i found you just need to shoot at least 1 1/8 charge or bigger....no low brass....also dont like that I actually have to make four movements to switch a shell out say if geese are coming and need to get a duck load out but not a deal breaker for me....my buddy has a win a2 and only takes one movement to switch a shell
I agree 100%, the A2 is an amazing gun, but they are pricey! Still want to get a new gun though. Been looking at the SX4.
Yes, you are correct John. 1 1/8 or larger and it will chew up any shell you put in it. I’ve taken my all black M2000 with a 28” long barrel hunting for duck in 10 degree wet weather, dove hunting, and turkey hunting with successful results for both reliability and lethality. I’ll probably hold onto it longer now that I hear they’re discontinued.
i ordered from benelli a firing pin and extractor dropped right in and cured the broke firing pin and pulls out the cheap brass cases now ..1200 rounds thru it
I will have to look into doing this! I appreciate it, thank you!
Can u post a link of extractor u purchased
