Mystery of the Tower E02 The Problem and the Premise
1 Cor 2:9-16
gracejunkies.org/2023/12/01/towers-of-babel-proposal/
PREMISE:
If all believers are guided by the Holy Spirit to understand the Word of God, and assuming that many are willing to yield to the Holy Spirit’s leading, the church, over 2000 years, should be gradually approaching a closer understanding of the biblical truth on any given issue and reflecting a greater sense of unity over all.
Problem:
Believers continue to polarize and move into sectarianism. The historically siloed discussions are growing more divisive and hostile as online platforms create more opportunities for people to engage with opposing views. Those professing a faith in Jesus Christ are consistently entrenching within their views. And there is a tendency to radicalize any opposing perspectives. There is also a notable increase in skepticism expressed as false believers or false Christianity. Moreover fueled by the convenience of the internet there is an increased number of debates in which ridicule and dismissiveness are at the forefront. Jesus said this is not how we are to be known (John 13:35).

@ 12:46 The last 12 verses of Mark are in the Peshitta (the Syriac version of the New Testament in the Syriac dialect of Aramaic). “The Peshito(sic) is referred by common consent to the second century of our era and is found to contain the verses in question” John Burgon Dean of Oxford college 1881. By my calculation that is circa 150 AD. Even the heretic Tatian, knew that the last 12 verses were genuine because he includes them in his Diatessaron (harmony of the Gospels) which was in wide circulation by 170 AD.

"Critical" does NOT mean "critical of the traditional version." It means a text which takes as many of the New Testament manuscripts as possible into account which have been preserved throughout history. You obviously didn't look very far into Mr. Cahn, or you would know he's a pastor-over a sizeable congregation- and did and does record his messages-including the one you slanderously claim he didn't say. His church is responsible for world wide gospel outreach (to both Jews and gentiles) as well as humanitarian aid given in Jesus' name all over the world - funded in part by these books. Sweetheart, you have become wise in your own eyes. The 1st mistake you made is making a video criticizing a book you admittedly have not read. The second mistake you made is not understanding that the Bible old and new testaments were written FOR us but not TO us (as Gentiles). The original recipients of the scriptures were Jews. The scriptures were both written and understood through the lens of Jewish culture. You have a whole new exciting world to explore once you realize this. I hope you will look into this. It is a joy i pray for you to receive. Jonathan Cahn is a Messianic Jew. He is descended from Moses' brother Aaron, so he is not called "rabbi" for nothing. You and I are alike I think in that we are suspicious of things that appear mystical. Nothing wrong with that. But please hear my heart: I have read all of Jonathan Cahn's books. I am an old Christian, a bit of a "Bible nerd," and I strongly support Berean approach to Bible teaching. I have been amazed by the writings of Jonathan Cahn to the point that I traveled great distance to attend the Passover seder at his church. I needed to see if he is legit. Upon investigation, he is. If you cannot get past his style of teaching, please consider looking into the teachings of the late Chuck Missler. It will help you so much. I am hoping you have done what you did with this video with pure intentions. But take advice...learn before you teach. Be led by the Holy Spirit, not by a crtical spirit. I almost envy you for being at a point where you can embark on this adventure of learning the Bible with deeper understanding! This journey has been my greatest joy and God has granted it as promised..."seek and you will find." It's like a holy algorithm! Shalom dear. You are so loved by God. Also, the Jewish see prophecy as pattern. History literally repeats itself. It's not fortune telling. Remember "written FOR us but not TO us." You cannot fully understand without this context. Also, ALL of Jonathan Cahn's books ABSOLUTELY plead for repentance and revival. Read them, dear. He NEVER claims to be a prophet, but he actually IS probably the only legitimate prophet alive today. Review the role of prophets. It's not fortune telling. Please receive this with the love with which it is sent. Do not let your pride prevent you from experiencing the joy of deeper understanding. Jonathan Cahn is a humble and kind man with an amazing ministry in New Jersey where he is the pastor of Beth Israel church. He also leads the Hope of the World international ministry. 8 or 9 #1 New York Times best seller books. If he was a phony he could have retired on the money from the 1st book! This latest book was #1 in the WORLD before it was even released. You know that Jesus' sheep hear and know His Voice. Please please reconsider your course. Take a break. Pray. Learn. Go to Beth Israel in New Jersey. Meet the man. Please consider holding your tongue until you have done these things. You know speculation is not wise and even a fool is considered wise if he remains silent. I pray for God's mercy on you for attacking one of His anointed messengers and possibly discouraging some from learning truth. You are so loved by God. Your words carry such weight. Shalom in Yeshua M'shicheinu.

Hmm idk if I agree with this interpretation…if we know God is going to restore Eden on the new heavens and new earth at the end of the millennium I think we will all be unclothed for eternity how it was originally supposed to be…. I think revelation and the white garmets is referring to marriage supper of the lamb and the 1000 year millennial reign there we will definitely wear clothes because some people who make it through the great tribulation will still have original sin…. In eternity there is no sin after the millennium there will be no need for clothes just like Adam and Eve experienced before the fall when there was no sin….. of course the Bible is not super specific on this topic so there is no exact or sure answer we will only know at that time but I think it will be more so like I mentioned.

This is happening in our church. Word of faith is not preached from the pulpit but I know some of our elders hold to positive confession. Our preacher is doing a “Let’s Talk” series next month and I’m trying to word my question so that he can address this but I haven’t been able to formulate my question. I don’t want to create disunity. But it needs to be addressed. Thanks for your video.

Yes, please, everybody go watch Mark Ward's video so you can see how wrong Brad is. It blows my mind that you can say that Mark Ward attacks the King James version. That dude loves the King James version

No he doesn't. Mark attacks it continually, he is a wolf in sheep's clothing. He also delete comments that owns him on his own videos as he can't answer them. He's a wicked man and you're not very intelligent for following that effeminate deceiver.

All I hear in this video is I’m kjv only and refuse to check into how manuscripts work. If you want a perfect Bible learn Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek. No passage is left out either they are in footnotes and also not in original manuscripts.

You lost me when you looked up the title of the video and still got it wrong. It’s not rescuing people from the King James Version. His video is rescuing people from KJV-onlyism. Awfully manipulative of you to look up the video on camera d still misquote him in your favor.

Im sorry but this is just terrible. He says "THIS" generation, not "THAT" generation. The near demonstrative is clearly used- Jesus was referring to the generation of the disciples. They would indeed see all those things- and they did! Love your KJV/NKJV videos though. Im persuaded that the "second coming" was in 70AD. And no, geneas (1 Peter 2:9, RACE) and genos (Matt 24:34, Mark 13:30, etc, GENERATION) are not synonymous.

Whats been my saving grace: 1: KJV is my primary. 2: NKJV & NASB are my reference when needing to further my understanding of a verse FROM my primary. 3: Trusting in the Lord to guide my studies. When reading the word it has become insanely clear that not a single modern translation carries the depth of meaning in any one respective verse compared to the KJV. I literally use the modern translations because Im interested in seeing another perspective. And honestly, Im usually left feeling upset at how inadequate or how much was subtracted from a particular verse. KJV is my primary. I will eventually rid myself of my crutches (NASB & NKJV). God knows i long to.

The key letter in "KJV" is that V=VERSION! All "versions" are partially, more or less, PER-versions. Hundreds of clauses in KJV are not accurate translations, but suggestions. God's "word" may well be "inerrant" but is only slowly, and by research, grasped. At all times remember that God is essentially UNKNOWABLE to mortals. He is "immortal, INVISIBLE"!!!!
