Found an Illegal Dump - From Forest to Home Pt. 1
We recently bought a little piece of forest property that we are working to turn into our own little home. Unfortunately, the first step is cleaning out the illegal dump on my new property.

If you get treated like Marines and not dogs, good enough.
In my day grunts like me had to do MCT then infantry school but I think that has changed.
I just purchased a pawn shop pick up $75.00 satin finish with pearl grips. It's a nice Lil trainer pistol along with having a Lil bit of history behind it. Saturday night specials part of the ring of fire pocket gat blaster. Seems like mine like higher Velocity rounds. Rounder the nose of the bullet, the better for mine. I think it is a great Lil piece for any gun owners collection.
Then, after SOI, I went to Hawaii to an 81 mm mortar platoon at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii
When I was in the Marine Corps, I want to Boot Camp in 1989, and I was in the infantry, and after Boot Camp, they sent me the MCT and then SOI because I was in the infantry
I never learned to swim. My recruiter said swim Qualifications isn't actual swimming, and they'd show me what to do to pass. My recruiter was right, it's just a way to to stay afloat with gear and clothes. Just do swim Qual exactly the way they show you and you'll pass.
ii took all those classes and got trainer entered into my records
in bootcamp everyone is infantry.
I was in bootcamp in January of 2019, I really don't think we had a team week
my buddy got shipped out today and will be in mcrd tomorrow and ill be there in april
Good luck to both of you!
Had one liked it, worked well as long as it was clean and lubed, lubed the slide and frame area nice and small
Man this Guy is So Cool !! Come on Pvt Get it together. In the middle of the 70s I went Through MCRDPISC and None of it was " Fun " and Cool ! We were training to fight the Next War Come on Jarhead don't make it Sound Easy !!.WE ARE MARINES
'MCT' = Pog' Training!
They beat the shit out of you but nobody wants to talk about that.
I leave in a week. Is ur vid still relevant 5 years later would you say ?
Pcp - physical composition or complication platoon.
Supply, MCRD SD RECEIVING BARRACKS. 3 yrs. 10000 ft from Alpha 1. Loved it. Long hrs.
My son wrote today for first time, said he is having a really hard time, cries himself to sleep most nights. I keep telling him he can do it, just take it it minute by minute, drill by drill, keep telling himself he can make it 5 more minutes, survive until lunch, make it dinner, bed, etc. He is a good build and height, was pretty soft though going in.... he says he now regrets that. (he did work out but he should have a lot more than he did, PLUS, they moved up his date by 1 month and told him he had no choice... so that was a surprise.) He didn't really say whether he was "keeping up" he did say he wanted out, but that is simply not an option, and he knows it. Any word for dad here.... thanks for sharing.
It's not an unusual letter for recruits to send. His attitude should shift around second phase, and definitely by 3rd phase. It's a complete physical, emotional, and cultural shock when you get there, and most people aren't ready for that no matter how much they prepared. I'm pretty sure my first letter home said something about how I think I made a mistake.
Thank you for making this video. I’m a Dad and my son just went to San Diego
Mcrd San Diego 1968 plt 1079 if you where over weight you went to the pig farm.
How did the Amish community react when you went Marines?
Okay but what if you pay attention very well and still forget
It is rigorous.
Since they changed your MOS, did you have to sign a new contract?
Going to bootcamp and I don't know how to swim at all bro haha damn it.
Saying you don't remember is baffling,I come from family of marines and they remember everything Weird
Im a 68 yo Navy Veteran. went through boot camp in San Diego...they used to threaten sending us over to the Marine side if we messed up lol
Yes I have! you said you had no trouble with it other than not going into battery a couple of times yet would not trust it as a Self Defense Weapon!!?? 1st. Could be weak amno - you held it too high and interfered with the slide - weak slide return spring. Solution, use the correct ammo - use a lower grip - send it back to Jimenez as it has a life time warrenty. 2nd. youtube search "Problems with the Jimenez guns" and see what comes up! You will not find 1 person who has had problems even when they tried to create a problem. When a feeding problem occures it is most often the shooter who is causing the problem. Those who "claim" to have had problems have never admited too sending the gun back to the factury on the Life Time Warrenty! now why is that? are these COMPLAINERS!! in possesion of an illigal firearm? If my gun is not working properly I send it back! I will here point out that there is NO RECORD OF COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUISNESS BUREAU www.bbb.org against the Jimenez Co. If these guns were "UNSAFE" they would not be out on the market and the company out of buisness. 3rd. 22lr cal. is a very good caliber for self defense. We are not talking about military fire fighting nor law enforcement shooting! Self Defense is to prevent being attacked by showing the aggresior that you are armed or in dire need inflicting enough pain as too stop an attack. In a shooting it is easier for your lawyer to defend a shooting where there is no lose of life.
I stand corrected, under the last 2 years there have been 5 complaints to the BBB. of poor customer service. This can be due to "Weapons Demand Of The Public" due to all the rioting that is going on, ALL weapons companies are back logged with orders so service and repairs have undoutitly bogged down. Again my appologies.
Mct changed quite a bit. When I arrived to mct we were in lima company for almost 3 hours getting checked in. Immediately following we went to our company and then told what platoon we would be. Then following a couple of days marched a 10K to the field where we would be staying for a whole week, after that we hiked back a 15k. Following we came back and went to different fields throughout its. Literally the last week we got our orders to our school house and practiced graduation the last couple of days.
I'm getting a personal trainer at a gym so I can get in shape for boot camp I'm running a lot sit-ups push-ups in between games or tv brakes. I'm only scared about the pull ups
We were in formation & a recruit killed a mosquito. Well we found the body & had a funeral . Buried it. Yen DO said what sex was it? Dog it up! Siempre fi.
Own it love it. Just like you said. If you have the time to file or start the polishing process its pretty freaking sweet
You said you finally found out what your job was, but didn't say it. Were you embarrassed to mention it or you forgot. This private was taught, but this private forgot.
This would have been a much better vid had you thought it all out and did a tabletop disassembly with overhead bright LED lighting, showing people the parts of that pistol close-up.. I have a .32 so I know.. I spent hours deburring, cleaning, polishing, ramp angle smoothing (it had 1 squib per mag when I got it).. made my own steel trigger- not plastic. Rail surfaces are like a mirror, even and flat now. I used Brownell's green coating that u mist on and bake into the metal in your oven.. was skeptical at first but it is very durable. I did that on the outside of the frame, slide, & trigger ONLY. None on the inside. Now it doesn't jam or feed improperly at all.
Positive guy, thank you. About the CS House.....maybe in the mid-eighties it was different for the Army. We went is as a squad, I think 8 guys. We got asked questions while our masks were on, One by one, we had our masks ripped off and asked our DoB and Mom's Maiden name. Once answered, we hat mucous every where. We were told to run for the exit. It said "PUSH". Took a few seconds, but I found the handle and pulled the door open. Ran at full speed and got intimate with a Pine tree. I know I'm necro'ing this, but again..THANK YOU.
Boot Camp has changed dramatically since the summer of 1962. Ageless basic advice for those shipping for boot camp is do exactly what you're told to do, immediately and exactly the way you're told to do it. And at all times, keep your suck closed unless ordered to speak. Marine Corps boot camp is not a walk in the park but millions have done it before you, you can do it too.
Really calming video
Thank you. Leaving in 4 days for boot camp and this was the best video I’ve seen so far
@Xavier Gomez did some research and he made it through.
Dude, please soundtreat your space. I couldn't listen to more than 2:00. And I like everything you were saying. This is not a slam on you at all. Just hang some moving blankets or something. LOL The sound of your voice was hurting my ears. Thanks.
Thanks for the video. My grandson starts boot camp in January. I'm sure he will be fine. As for me....I'm a wreck. Thanks for your service.
thanks man !! i leave feb 24th🙏🏼
I wasn't tough enough to be marine, I joined the army On Sundays we had 10 mile runs,at the end was heart break hill, one long steep incline I am sprinter not long distance runner,I can walk for several hours at brisk pace. The run I was surprised I made it. Last week of basic had to wear boots ruck sack and n16 it was a killer
Seriously, you must be mentally tough, and elite to be Marine Whole army is no joke it is more mass and overwhelm , verses Marines few can take on many, Navy seals are one can handle many. Lke in Iraq a small unit with typical heavy armament few held up entirw t Iraqi division Army is force in #s overwhelm not surprise. The military of the US each had it's role.and purpose
I am by no means degrading the US Army, from my relatives that were Marines told me they will be rough on you. I was only one of all in my family to join the Army, it was demanding, tough, the drill Sargent's make it so you don't depend on you, you are to depend on the others. They called "i got your back", one would do ,the others were in support, someone yell out or say cover him. As team one watched the back of the other. As a group one watched point, others flank another rear. All US forces are the best, Marines are normally land via air or ship, Army rail, air, columns, etc. Air Force can still in array of bombardment. Navy supply attack or support, fire from off shore. All makes the US the best.
Boot camp wasn’t that bad, it’ll be only a portion on the suck, the real suck will start at the fleet especially if your an 03 or in a combat MOS.
Glad I found this video. You give a mentality of just facing it all so positively. I leave on the 7th.
Good luck! It's a crazy ride, haha
See you there man, I'll be there same day
@@treykirkland8194 So I'm looking for "Kirkland"? Look for "Hall" Tbh we'll probably both forget to lol
@@J_Schecter lol yea man, and I'll be relatively easy to spot, just look for the 6'6 guy with dark hair
@@treykirkland8194 what a story that would be. Parris island? Just so we're clear lol
Great details shared thanks.
My son is at MCRD San Diego now she ship out on 8 July me being a old 11B Infantry I try to tell him how to deal with the BS it's all a head game.
I like your attitude dude you remind me of me... quick question how do I go about being guide that’s my aim.
Honestly, that's kind of a hard question to answer because it depends completely on the boot camp platoon. 2 platoons in our company had the same guide the entire time because their parents were high ranking Marines. Some platoons seemed to change guides almost every week. I'd say your best bet is just to stand out by being the fastest and loudest at everything. If it doesn't happen, don't worry about it. No one will care that you were the guide in boot camp after you graduate boot camp. Other than the potential for getting promoted to E2, there's not a huge benefit to it
Just a Marine Veteran thanks bro that’s why I wanted it... I thought it was a big difference benefit wise.. I also thought It would put me up for future promotions faster as well thanks for the reality check! ..... last question & I’m out your hair... I see some classes wear dress blues & some don’t what’s that about ?!
It's really up to the battalion command what you guys wear. Some of it depends on weather too. If you graduate in summer, you're less likely to wear blues because they don't want people passing out
I leave for boot camp next week and I'm nervous as hell I worked my butt off getting into shape and have been continuously working out but I pysch my own self out sometimes any tips!
Go into it with the mindset of not giving up no matter what, and you will be okay. Just don't let failure or quitting ever be an option. Boot camp is physically tough, but it's a lot more of a mind game than physical. Just follow directions and don't quit when it gets hard. It's really that simple. If you can do that, in about 3 months, I should be able to welcome you to the brotherhood. Even if you get hurt, 90% of the time you will still get to graduate; it might just be a few weeks later. In the scheme of life 3 months of crap is nothing.
Yeah, punctuation.
Did u make it through
Thank you for your courageous service
It was my honor. Thank you for your support!
