My problem is that I’m totally outdated on technology, the most I know is to write and receive an email. Where to start learning. Please help

This is quite helpful. Thank you, Chris! However, there is an error in the first calculation - well, at least in how you wrote down the equation. To arrive at the $10,000.00 Assessed Value, the equation should read, as follow: "$100,000 (Market Value) x .10 (conversion of 10% to decimal amount for the multiplicand) = $10,000 (Assessed Value)." This is quite different than what product you would get from $100,000 x 10, which equals $1,000,000.00. In other words, just as you showed folks how to calculate the Tax Rate by converting 50 mills (or $50.00 per $1,000 in value) to the decimal figure of .050 to use as your multiplicand, so too should you have done this for Step 1. Other than that and a few typos I am finding here and there in my reading, your videos have been entertaining and informative. Thank you again (and your team) for all you do to make sure your students are well-prepared for the real estate licensing exam. ~Stacey Guidry

I have been a Donaldson Real Estate Continuing Ed customer since getting my license in 2001, but since the pandemic I have gone from their online CE courses with quizzes and tests to the Zoom type virtual courses like the ones that Bob Brooks offers. Just like in-person CE, there are no quizzes or tests, you just have to sit in front of your computer at home a participate. I wish Donaldson would offer this type of course.

I'm so glad I ran across this video today... My anxiety was through the roof all because I was worried about how I was gonna remember all the formulas... In 5 mins you explained this very well and made it so easy to remember and understand... Now I'm confident I will pass these kind of questions on the test when I take it... this changed my entire life. i've been stuck on this math course forever. it felt like they didnt teach me anything but expected me to somehow figure out the problems on my own. i bought a real estate math book, also felt like i wasnt being taught. i watched this 5 minute video and literally weeks of work make sense now. i am a problem solving machine thanks to this method. thank you SO MUCH for sharing.

I take my state test on Friday, I passed the course exam and in class never saw this way to do the math and it looks so simple. Thank you so much. Wish me luck 😊
