I don't ship Erik and Christine because in every scenario with Erik, Christine is forced to sacrifice everything she is to be with him, which is very toxic and unhealthy in every relationship. It's also a trope I hate where just putting a hot girl in front of a bad guy will automatically making him good which no doesn;t work.

Very awesome review! I really like the Thrawn Trilogy, but my favourite Star Wars novels are the X-Wing series by Michael A. Stackpole and Aaron Allston, and The Han Solo Trilogy by A.C. Crispin. You should check them out if you haven't already. The Han Solo Trilogy is what Solo: A Star Wars Story should've been in 2018.

Nice collection Cheryl! I'm a huge Trekkie myself. I'm sorry, but I might outgeek you. I got to visit the set of The Next Generation in January 1993, almost two months after my sixth birthday, and met almost the entire cast except for Michael Dorn (Worf) as he wasn't working that day.

Something really does not add up in retelling of the events. Madam Giri said that Erik had guest women in his opera house box nr. 5. Then Christine came back after kidnap with red cheeks and upbeat. Furthernore is told at the end that Erik and Christine had multiple meetings. Finally why Christine agreed to meet Erik last final time if she was afraid of him ? Plus what his creation - opera DonnJuan the triumphant tells you about Erik ?

Lando didn’t just show up YESTERDAY!! He’s been in the original trilogy since the Empire Strikes Back and was influential in saving Han Solo at the beginning of Return Of The Jedi. That’s probably how he got to become a general and deservedly so!!! Maybe if you took the implied sexism out of the equation you’d see that for yourself!!!

Have you read the Jedi Academy trilogy, which takes place not long after this and carries the story forward even further, just as well? If you like the throne Trilogy I'm pretty certain you'll like the Jedi Academy trilogy. The first book is titled Jedi search, Luke recruits candidates and decide, with the help of his sister, where to establish an academy. In book two he begins training students, they are tempted by the dark side, one of them dies, one of them attacks him and puts him in a coma, then takes off with a super weapon developed by The Imperials and starts annihilating star systems . In book three the only thing that saves Luke and the future of the Jedi is that his students unite together against the threat, destroying it, and enable him to take possession of his body again (his spirit was knocked clean out of it). I won't spoil how it ends, but it's every bit as good as the thrawn trilogy... ✌😁

We new the term Sith prior to the prequels but it seemed to be more of a title rather than a Dark Side religion. Vader had been refereed to as a Sith Lord. Of course Lucas' explanation of the Sith made no sense.

One of my favourite booooks in the series! It's beyond crushing that Phil has never been brought to screen in any Anne films (that I'm aware of), she certainly deserves it!. She's so wildly fun. I also feel bad for Gilbert, because Anne is like, the queen of mixed signals. She's all, I think he's handsome, I like him as a person, he makes me laugh, and my heart gives a "queer" sensation when he's about, and I also get peanut butter and jealous when other girls hang around him or so much as mention him... but I don't like Gilbert like ~that~. Haha.

One of the best books on suffering meaning ! Kushner believes that God doesn't intervene in the affairs of men ! His theology is very persuasive, that when we run out of strength God gives us more ! If someone is a atheist, then they believe we are alone in this cold dark universe, too much for anybody to deal with in my opinion.

I bought this recently after hearing a lot of people talking about it, and your glowing review has gotten me even more interested! I love that sort of slipstream, fantastical, magical realism-type stuff. Imagine if a director kept the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical the same exact show-but then in the end as Christine is going off with Raul says, 'hey, I wanna focus on my singing. See ya later!" My big problem with the plot of the sequel is why Coney Island? Why America in the first place ? Coney Island just sound like a horrible place like something out of a horror film. I’m suppose to believe Erik would just abandon the woman he deeply loves because he was being ashamed of himself. And meg being in love with Erik? That is soo gross! Erik’s only true love was Christine Daae! He loved no other woman. Aside from those problems I had with it. It is good not great! I’m a woman who can give sequels a shot, but it always be a tragic love story the original.

People hurt each other, because elevating or improving the relationship would challenge one of the persons too much. Also, the other. person was too confronting. Too strong. Jelousy and insecurity leads to 'error' ouctomes in the relationships.
