ITS ACTUALLY actuated by the magazine so when the mag is installed it locks that part and you can remove.

That's supposed to be there. There's a reason why the end of the takedown lever is shaped the way it is.

The lever just does not have the ledge to get force to turn the lever down, very poor on Sig’s part. I upgraded to the Armory Craft Sports lever during a holiday special a couple years ago, night-n-day on how the take down lever works and still fits my holster. No reason for Sig to make a poor design and no Sig support on many owners having issues for disassembly. This is the only handgun I own which has a disassembly problem. During the Armory craft holiday sale I also purchased the magazine extended release, which the other was fine. However, the extended version is a bit nicer to get to for my thumb and was not that much when doing my joint purchase. Very happy switching to the ‘sports lever’ and extended mag release from Armory Craft.

Have 2 P320's for over a year and have had ZERO issues

My issue was trying to disassemble the slide with an empty mag in the gun, once I took the magazine out, the lever turned without an issue.

Purchased the Armory Craft ‘Sports’ takedown lever and took complete care of the disassembly problem. This level provides a slide bevel incline to allow for leverage to be applied to turn the lever, extremely easy with the Armory Craft Sig P320 Sport takedown lever. Plus it still fit my holster for the P320 without any modification. Check around Holidays for slight discounts. I also purchased their magazine release extension, which does provide a better feel for that release button being slightly longer, but just my 2 cents for this feature. Sig was worthless in addressing this issue, when there should NOT have been a problem for disassembly and reassembly. If you out in the field and need to do a breakdown, should not need tools.

I’m taking mine back I can’t even get the takedown lever out all the way to remove my lower chassis. I pay this much for a gun can’t even disassemble it’s going back brother.

I can’t get my takedown lever to come completely out of the lower frame. How did you do that so easily

Mine is a full size tacops model... Your technique did not work for me,... But what did work is to take the mag out last..... That is to say, make sure its an empty mag,....rack the slide, the slide will lock back, or should lock back on rack.... Remove the mag. And then rotate the TDL ..... Working for me.

For me I was trying to rotate the takedown lever with the magazine in… that was a no go. Once I dropped the mag the lever rotated perfectly

Had this issue last night. Another option I found is to rotate the take down lever clockwise until it clears that mechanism and keep rotating it until it seatscompletely in place.

Just got my p320 with the sig Romeo pro. I had problems with my takedown lever being really stiff. But after watching ur video a few times and then applying ur techniques shit got easier. Thanks bruh

I have both the 9mm and the 45 full size. The 9mm is thought to rotate the disassemble lever but the 45 is easy . Thanks for the info

No luck, when I go to position the the take down lever , there is a click about half way, and it locks up the trigger, am disgusted, never had a gun do a silly problem, brand new out of the box.

That's the same lever if you reassemble the gun without locking the slide back the gun won't shoot, if I'm not mistaken both of those issues are in the owners manual. So any 320 it is critical to lock the slide back before finishing reassembling the pistol.

Thanks very much for a very informative video. I just purchased an M18 and couldn't believe how difficult it was to dissasemble a brand new pistol for cleaning and lubricating before firing for the first time by me. My thumb got incredibly sore attempting to rotate the lever to the molded stop on the grip module. Now it is so easy to execute this step in the dissassembly process.

It was taking out the mag for me I tried the lever with the mag in and didn’t work I took it out and worked perfectly
