Kickstarting a Royal Enfield Bullet
มุมมอง 10K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
First start of the year for this 2009 Royal Enfield Military AVL. The trick to starting this motorcycle is to get the piston just beyond top dead center with the kickstart lever before kicking it over.
Will this 1928 Indian 101 Scout Start?
มุมมอง 37K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
Close in view while cold starting a 1928 Indian 101 Scout, warming up, and setting off. This Indian Scout was manufactured at the Wigwam in Springfield Massachusetts as an export model with the proven 37cu in 600cc engine. Unlike most Indian Scouts of the era equipped with a Splitdorf magneto and separate generator located under the saddle, this bike was fitted in Europe with a Bosch DVAR magdy...
Boy it sounds so nice. Better than a Harley!
❤❤❤❤❤
One beauty. Keep the heritage
Awesome machine ❤
🖤
Very Nice
Thanks!
When you're bike is kick only you can not pussy out and hit the start button.
The millennials are looking for masculine traits and Kickstarting a motorcycle is considered to be one of them. Never mind all the little Japanese girls who kickstart their Harley Davidson choppers that they imported from the USA. Most of my vintage British motorcycles are kick only. My 1998 1/2 is first year with electric start,my URAL side car outfit.lwanted to put a kicker on my Sportster but my HD mechanic 🧰 said no. All of my 1970's BMW's are kick and electric. Motorcycles make you earn the right to ride them by making you earn it. Now people are too lazy to even push a button. How sad.
Actually it’s just that the electric start is a weak point on this bike so I kick it.
That machine is pure gold and heritage
Magnifique, des œuvres d'art ❤
So what
Your horn mount will crack and break. It really vibrates.
Beautiful! If I were to send you a picture of an Indian taken in the 1920’s do you think you might be able to identify it? It’s a picture of my grandfather on his motorcycle but only shows the top half of the bike. I have others of the sidecar that was attached.
Sure, I can try to identify it.
@@island.of.scooters I tried to attach a picture but no luck. Do you have an email address I can forward it to?

Beautiful machine thanks
It's got a nice sound
It took long time
You gotta feel around for just the right spot to put the piston before kicking it.
Beautiful sir. OMG, It's an AVL. I am humbly requesting you to post more about this wonderful machine.
What is the top speed? 🛵
Don’t know yet. Probably faster than I would want to go on it!
With a bike that it's about the ride not the speed.
Keep my 2012dyna company 😅😊❤❤
Maravilhosa
Perfect kick start technique for an AVL. Lovely motorcycle.
Thank you sir!
Only 2009?
Yep. It disappoints a lot of people who roll down their window to ask how old it is. Or, they ask if it’s a “replica”. It’s just the way they made them for so long without changing much.
....i stał się cud....Indian motor.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊👍⚜⚜⚜
That is my dream bike 😊❤
Me too!
Hello, next week I will inform you about some details. Regards, Dolf Winkler (Rotterdam The Netherlands)
I look forward to it, thank you!
Priceless item
I am the former owner and restorer of this bike with engine number DG2172. Is the rubber hose with the little red drum still in place?
Hi, yes it is! Can you send me an email at isola_del_centauro@protonmail.com, I have your binder with all of your notes but would like to know the history of the motorcycle if you know anything. Thank you
Nice machine!
Thank you, it's had some work done but still not bad for 96 years old!
👌🏻👍🏻🫶🏻
so beautiful and sounds great 😍😍😍 I'm green with envy ride safe and enjoy it
Thank you, I'm still getting comfortable with operating the foot clutch.. I'm having to rewire my brain after so many years using the clutch on the handlebars.
Wow that thing is beautiful!
Thanks!
Nice 👍
Thank you!
1 reason they used the left hand throttle and left the right hand open was to make it easier to use a pistol while riding. They did this when they were all trying to make a marketable motorcycle that could also be used in war. 🌈 🌟 the more you know!
I’ve heard that too! A lot of riders swap the throttle over to the right side but I want to fit in with the cool kids and keep it on the left.
