I did the same it was a disaster
if anyone has trouble with the pins put both pieces under and one pin in then use pliars to get the second pin in. Spent 20 mins hurting my hands before I did that
How hard is it to change the rotors, too?
The garage want to charge me more for the rear break on my 2021 mazda3 he said he need to program it on the computer for the e break lol , are you posting front break video soon. great job!
When I need to change mine I will for sure, I believe however it’s a very similar procedure to the rear by and large.
Do u need to replace the rear brake pad clips? Because when i got the rear pads/rotors from dealership theh said u reuse them. Tht why they didnt sell me any?
If memory serves, with most pads you get a set of clips in the box. If you do I’d change them it won’t hurt, however they are generally pretty strong, shouldn’t break and can likely be reused. If they’re not in the box they are not a wearable part and you should be fine.

What brake pads you end up using ?
Did you press the accelerator to the floor and hold it when you put the brakes in and out of service mode?
Hey did you have to put support behind all the the tires to prevent the car from rolling?
The car was on jack stands so no rolling or support required.
Can you do a video on how to change your rotors
Do you need to add pad grease on the metal to metal contact areas to prevent squealing? I usually use CeraTec Mintex grease for my brake jobs.
Great question I actually didn't because it was a sealed piston, but its possible you may need to. Seek manual advice or by all means respond in the comment if you know otherwise and I will update. Appreciate the question.
thanks for the video looks easy. i’m no mechanic but I was quoted a $288 for rear and I paid $44 for the pads.
