Repetitive training is so important and stables their character. It gives them calming personality. Just be sure to close off the command with an ‘ok’ so they know the command is finished. Play hide and seek so they will want to look for you and find you especially outside. Give great praise and yes, use treats when necessary to keep them safe from harm. You want them to always want to come to you. Make it fun! Keep them active because a tired dog is a happy dog! ❤

Great! I have two basset...3 and 4 months.....and peolpe told me that was'nt impossibile to educate a basset ...because they do whatever they want.....Mafalda and Monnalisa are on a good way for doing what this guy do in this spot

Basset Hounds are really smart. They try to be like humans.

Doggie has hooman well trained. He does little tricks for them and they respond by giving him treats. Hoomans are so easy to deal with!

Poor thang in that slick floor. My friends basset slipped on this type of floor and broke her hip. She had to be put to sleep a year later, a few surgeries and the pain was too much.
