Oil, grease or loctite. AR10 build
มุมมอง 3972 ปีที่แล้ว
Very short and to the point video going over where I use oil, grease and loctite on my builds. I’m using Rand CLP, medium strength loctite (blue) and black rifle balm (lithium grease). The rifle is sniper grey cerakote The Gun Company Ti-10 in 308 with a 16” rifle gas Criterion barrel, Vseven ultralight m-lok handguard, raptor charging handle, badass safety selector, spikes compensator, Magpul ...

    My spring keep falling how do I fix that ?

    • @AKjose47
      @AKjose47 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@yxngfolks223 which spring? I’m guessing the trigger safety plunger spring. I would put the spring on the safety plunger then hold the slide, sights side up, and put plunger and spring in from the bottom up so the spring doesn’t fall. Once it’s in, make sure it is in there and not binding up. Once the extractor is in the plunger will stay in place.

    No cleaning oil or anything needed?

    • @AKjose47
      @AKjose47 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      This was just a take down and reassembling but for cleaning I would use a cleaning solvent and soak for a bit then clean it off with a clean cloth or rag. You can use a dental pick or similar tool to scrape off any carbon build up if needed. Then use very light oil like CLP or any gun oil and use a little on the springs. Very little. And oil, not grease. The recoil spring is the only spring I would even consider using a lithium grease on. But I still prefer oil for that as well.

    Very quick and detailed. You dont see videos like this very often anymore. Im having exteacting issues on my p80... how likely is the exteactor to be the issue? Im aware of the one part that people often times swap out. Im just wondering if the extractor could possibly be the issue. It just doesnt seem to kick the shells out.

    • @AKjose47
      @AKjose47 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ll say this: if you have a optic cut slide, your problem very well might be that the optic cover screw or optic screw on the extractor side is probably too long and interfering with the extractor rod. You’ll know if this is the case by trying to remove the extractor rod and if does not come out freely then there is interference there from the screw. If it comes out freely then of course make sure it is installed in the correct orientation, spring and bearing should be towards the back of the slide and rod should be up front against the actual extractor. If that’s good then the extractor itself could be the issue.
