I only do a live stream once a month, same day as the Town Hall these days. BUT when I think I have something interesting to talk about, I make a video! I reach a wider audience that way and have more relevant talking points instead of just trying to "fill time" in a live stream :)

Maybe I will again! I just miss having access to my "good cards", so it doesn't feel the same if you know what I mean. Once you've had that sweet sweet taste of spamming Tofu it's hard to go back to "not having it" lol

Sure make land a priority... after NPE IMHO. Land does not generate income for the company, and with this proposal it seems like that's what they need most right now. Get the NPE done, get the tech modernization done, start using those HIVE $ for marketing, THEN change your focus to land. Land is important, but to me, the NPE and new players are paramount to increasing all asset values as well as company revenue and that should be the focus. Thank you for the comment! :)

I will agree to disagree about the green candles being all that matters. HOW those green candles manifest is equally as important. Any green we see right now will (mostly) come from the existing player base either changing around their assets (ie: dec to sps, or cards into other cards) or limited large buys like in the case of these promos. I would like to see those candles come from NEW players, and NEW money into the ecosystem. I feel like a proper NPE, followed by wise use of the HIVE marketing dollars, will bring longer, more sustained "green candles". I don't want to just see see green candles, have people start playing for the returns, then just dump at the slightest sign of red because they weren't here for the GAME they were here for the potential profit. Attracting / maintaining REAL players will give sustained green and give REAL growth. That's my opinion at least lol. Thanks for the comment! :)

While I don't advocate for replacing Mancer, using cheap labor to "catch up" on some coding seems like a good idea at first. But is the liability of opening the source code to temp workers worth it? I think it would be a great opportunity for them to get some MINI GAMES developed and incorporated into SPL tho! Games where you enter using DEC and have a chance to win GLINT would be pretty cool! @@thepsilence contract programmer can't see the old source code because he or she will add only a new code in front end, its like a new web page for land. about the back end maybe the team will create it, about the difficulty it's very easy if you have skill set, even chatgpt can modify it just put the old source code and tell what you want to modify. PS real programmers need only API.

He could do it voluntarily or opt to be paid partially in SPL assets. The "bonus" would be in the appreciation of the SPL assets, so the better SPL performs, the higher the "bonus" would become! :) It was just an idea, but I still like it. Either way, I wouldn't mind the DAO paying for Mancer, I'd just prefer it wasn't to develop LAND specifically. That's my gripe. Land doesn't deserve the focus until NPE and code upgrade is complete IMHO. Thank you for the comment, partna!

I didn't ask him to, I noted that sometimes CEOs / workers reduce their own salaries voluntarily, and maybe he could do that. It was just an idea, but I think it was worth mentioning if we're brainstorming ideas. Better to have an employer and take a little less pay than lose the job, right? I actually like my idea of him getting pay partially in SPL assets. The better the product, the higher SPS, the more that becomes worth it! Either way, I'm not against him getting paid by the DAO, I just don't think he should be directing all his energy at land. Thanks for the comment, Dejota! :)

@@thepsilence yeah, I’m just pushing back on that idea. I agree a lot of the rest of the video in terms of if the company folds so does the DAO.

I am happy that we have it, but the fact it had to be said out loud that we are in a position to maybe need to use it isn't confidence inspiring lol. I am glad it happened, I just wish it were under better circumstances so as to have a different projection.

Just listened! I stand by my points. I would LOVE to give the $ to Mancer from the DAO, but I don;t want (personally) the focus of his endeavors to be on land. He sounds like he really wants to do it though, and I'm sure he'd do a great job, I just feel like MOST players (probably the vast majority), and all NEW players wouldn't look at land first, they'd look at gameplay and the story / NPE that comes with being introduced to the Splinterverse. That's why I'd like to see him get the $, but not have him divert his talents to land. Thanks for the comment! :)

Going to have to agree to disagree on this one. I just finished the vid, and while I would LOVE to see us go green, I want to see the fundamentals like the NPE and the code updates done first. The last thing I want to see is a bunch of green bars without improvements, then we end up like back when CL started and there was a big pump because of the airdrop and the bots came en mass because of the "easy money" to be made. I would rather see us gradually green out based on a good game and solid tokenomics then try and "artificially" increase token values prematurely then not hook potential players because of a poor NPE / PE. So while I agree with most of what he said, I don't think the focus should be solely on green candles as they will become non sustainable. I didn't get the impression he was against the NPE, just that it was taking too long and we still had nothing to show for it. I also disagree that marketing $ would be wasted on SPL just because they were wasted on Illuvium. If we can have a good NPE that leads to player retention then it was worth it. You can't always just throw money at an audience like ILV did, because as you can see, Tales is no longer playing, and there are a lot of other criticisms as well. Yet here we all are, still talking SPL. Make SPL attractive to new players from both an NPE and a tokenomics / earnings perspective and you win.
