if you read the definition of communism or socialism, they say the same things - enhance human condition, equality, justice and what not. I think they just rebrand the same gov control over lives as the old terms become tainted by reality. They can't sell socialism today, so they try democratic socialism or progressivm. its like Antifa. What, you are not against fascism? You don't like progress? The name has a benign or positive meaning. Lot of younger folks think socialism means being social, hanging out with friends and being nice to other people!

Manish Subramaniam John and I found it really difficult to construct a case based on love specifically. The most sufficient material we could weaponize was the idea that failing to find love was a failing of your inherent person as opposed to skills you can objectively improve upon (it’s hard to stop being boring and conventionally unattractive, easier to learn a skill). I also think we delineated the difference between norms that are genetically inaccessible (cost, class, ability) and norms that are socially isolating and uniquely patriarchal (see the DPM). That said, your complaint echoes OO’s. We got away with a lot. For some reason, the judges bought our response. 🤷🏻♂️

Call me Captain Obvious! I finally got tired of hearing the word "Progressive" and decided to rail upon it. Unlike other party definitions, "Progressive" was vague and abstract. Progressive DOES NOT define anything in particular. It DOES NOT set itself apart from any other group. Progressive is exactly the same thing as saying we breath air, and I want to find ways to breath it better. It means NOTHING. And could be considered overlapping in other parties. I have always found it fascinating that people try to categorize or group a person somehow by what they "think" in similarity with some definition. Just because you want pro life your automatically categorized as a conservative? So now we have "far left" and "far right" and all these stupid terms. The amazing thing is once a person "identifies" themselves into one of these "views" they sort of go along with everything that the definition it defines. I have never grasped this concept. Of categorizing a persons thinking. If I change my mind on some key portion of these definitions am I automatically put into another camp? What has actually happened? Nothing! It's just a name!
