I am a shop teacher that works with K - 8th grade students. During Covid times, I had to make a lot of videos for students stuck at home, and using household items. Some of the videos are about making things, understanding simple machines, or physics concepts. There's a lot of rainy-day activities here, and some bigger projects, too.
A Brief History of the Ukulele
An introduction to the history of the Ukulele, from the Portuguese immigrants to Hawaii, and the introduction of the instrument to the mainland, and to the people who have made the Ukulele famous. This video was created for middle-school aged students. #ukulele #history #kalakaua #hawaii

How to build a Giant Walking Skeleton
มุมมอง 217หลายเดือนก่อน
Imagine a 13' tall skeleton walking around your neighborhood this Halloween! I built one and it was surprisingly easy to do using recycled PVC pipe and yogurt containers. You'll also need an old backpack with a waist belt. And a heat gun. Anything else? Some patience.

How to install Amplifier Grill Cloth
มุมมอง 9Kปีที่แล้ว
The fabric on my 2x10 cabinet was shot so I bought some new vintage Fender style grill cloth from Mojotone. It takes about 30 minutes to install, but you have to be really careful to keep the cloth straight and aligned. You don't need a lot of tools, but a heat gun is useful for tightening it in the final steps.

hey man, just saying that I had to make a laser cut project for my university and decided to make a cigar box guitar and your videos helped me so much! keep the great work
Thanks so much for saying this! It's the reason why I make these dorky videos. Good luck with your guitar! Let me know if you post a pic of it.
No shit! Are you listening to Yello???? Amazing music in the background!
"Sonido Gallo Negro" -psychedelic cumbia from Mexico City. Check 'em out. And, thanks for watching!
Yo
Yo!
Can you say how to draw it big in the floor with just a pencil
Nice job. Nice bright sound.
Thanks for listening!
Is this in the US?
@@Warp2090 Yes!
@@everydaycreative Front loaders arent really common here so thats why I asked lol
Maybe it’s just your area but front loaders are very common. About 40-50% of the washer market
Wow! 👋👋👋
I see you made a guest appearance in the video!
Hi what did you use in the centre of the circle on tbe ground, as a pivot??
Use a barbell or big rock. Good luck!
Cool dude nice trasion outfit
Thanks!
No problem Ferenc!
That’s so cool! Also love all of the trash-in costumes
T H A N K S !
It was good until the idiot talk about micro plastic in the Ocean. Thumbs down!
Here's a trick that I have used. Yes PLAY SAND. Measure your pipe a little bit long, Put a cap on one end. Make sure you've got good leather gloves on first Then use a cake pan and heat sand to about 150-200°, then use a funnel, pour the sand in and it will just about turn into spaghetti.
Thanks!
There are heat blankets available just for bending PVC as well. Still chance of overheating the PVC if you don't keep your eye on it and depending on where you need the bend its own weight could ruin the stick.
Thanks for the tip!
you need a jig for that?
I wanted all four of the bends to be exactly the same. Thanks for your comment.
This really needs more views! Thats a brilliant idea and way cheaper than other ways I’ve seen people do it lol
Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much. I'm replacing silver type fender cloth, would a hair dryer work? Thanks again!
@@kjrstudio1911 I don’t think a hairdryer will work. I know that a heat gun is a specialty purchase, but they’re not that expensive and are very useful.
@@everydaycreative Thank you! Just so happens i'm getting the material today! the fender style silver black string stuff! Have a super day brother!
This is a really cool idea also by the way this is Mia your old student
Hi Mia! Best student ever!
Miss your class
Good 👍🏻
Thanks!
hello . Good evening, I'm from Brazil, I admire your work and I really appreciate your handling of your instruments, I would like😊😊😊 to know if it's possible for you to send me a reference where to buy this fabric because I have a Fender Stage 112 amplifier and its screen tore in an accident. eternally grateful for your help. with all your affection and respect francisco. translation

I ordered a custom grill cloth to go over my 5150 speaker cabinet. Would you remove the old wicker covering the cab before installing the cloth or install the cloth over the top of the wicker grill?
I would remove the old wicker first.
Ok cool i can draw my summon circles for my rituals :)
Watch for my next video on drawing pentagrams :)
Good job, thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for this video! It didn’t solve my problem but it got me thinking which helped me solve my own! I homeschool my 6 year old twins and my 7 year old, and my son got exciting about drawing and hopped up to sharpen his pencil and accidentally sharpened his eraser instead! The metal part and eraser was jammed. But we got it fixed thanks to you!
Thanks!
alvin the chipmunk got some rad new hobbies since i last saw him
🤣
The heat gun tip after clamping and stapling was crucial.
Thanks!

Hello my question is I got Electric pencil sharpener and I was wondering how often do empty the container that the pencil shavings fall into? :-)Thank you for reading my comment
Every 5-7 minutes, 24 hours a day. Thanks!
Helpful video, thank you! Clamping the board helped a lot. Kept everything in line and gave a nice place to align the stapes.
Thanks!
How can I get the files for cutting with a Lasercutter??
Let me know your email address. If you put it in a comment here, I'll delete it from public view.
Perfect job.
Thanks!
Yow you bad😊
Thank you most sincerely. Also a teacher, my student with special needs tried to sharpen the eraser end.... also non-magnetic😀. I had to remove the two flat head screws, but it works thanks to you! You saved me $50 from my pocket to replace. Thank you!
Thanks!
Just what i needed. 💯✌🙏
Nice video easy to follow and fun to watch
Hello so i got suspended for 1 semester because i put a highlighter in my teachers electric pencil sharpener and the pencil sharpener and highlighter broke:) and my teacher went close to the sharpener and ink exploded on their face and shirt and they said if i dont get the a new shirt and pen and sharpener i will be helled back:)

This is such a great project. Fellow shop teacher here. How many class hours would you say that this project takes your 6's. Cheers
Hi- Great to hear from you. It took 18 one hour classes for the build. Watch the last video in this series to see how it all came together. If you decide to take this project on, I'd like to hear about your progress. th-cam.com/video/GtcKYAA0eE8/w-d-xo.html

I just tied the string to a big rock. Have fun!

I've seen a lot of birdhouse videos and yours is the best. I'm 66 years old and I wanted a video that would explain in detail how to build a easy birdhouse and I found yours and I want to thank you for this very well presented instructions! Your students are very lucky to have you as their teacher!
Thank you for your kind words!
