Sheesh, it's like you gotta paint your house in VR.
@@studlyhungwell This video just shows my personal style of map layout, you definitely don’t need to use the level of detail I used in this video. Make one detailed map as a template, then copy it to make other layouts for a particular room.
@@allbecomesiron ah, that makes sense. Semeed like a lot of work but nice if there's shortcuts! Thanks for sharing!
vary nice.
Just a shooting gallery with portals
@@joseph9226 I can see that for the solo campaign, but the Arena mode is not that. It’s fully interactive with a human player and the physical space, not at all a shooting gallery (unless your opponent is very slow) 🙂
Bud, super clear, thank you Some things are obvious but not too everyone including me 😊
Looks incredible....big set up though. Can you tell me does the set up work for 2 players in the same house.... do both headsets have to do setup? Thx! ❤🔥😁✌️
@@christianlamb Keep in mind that I am insane when it comes to map making. You don’t need to go to extremes. If you get the walls and big objects correct, you will quickly have a great time 🙂 For 2+ players: All players must own the game and be in the same physical space. Players must use a unique Meta profile. One player creates a map and has it on their headset (it is stored on the device, not in cloud). Player 1 selects Create Game. Player 2 selects Join Game. Player 1 verbally shares the code with Player 2, and player 2 inputs the code and connects. Once connected, Player 2 sees the map elements and the Player 1 avatar, and the match can begin. Note: I’ve found that both players need to exit to the main menu and reenter Arena Mode for each new match to reliably start and join matches. Have fun!
@allbecomesiron awesome.....looks like a game my son and I can enjoy. Take care. 🔥❤️😁✌️

So just curious in the kitchen if you already put a wall there what is the purpose of putting a transparent box around the cabinets if the walls are already there
@@GEOFFYCOLLECTION that way, the bullets will hit the cabinet and make a hole on its surface, not go through it to the wall behind. Also so the bots will interact with it when they fall. It’s all about the effects in the game. If you see bots falling through a cabinet, it looks bad versus when they realistically bounce off. I have another video that shows how they lay on my sofa after I blast them and you can see it there.
@@allbecomesironahh ok makes sense I just adjusted mine as well as I just had walls so I did every cabinet and did everything in detail But wouldn’t they bounce off the wall anyways if the wall is there or it would make a hole in the wall they were still interact with the wall that’s there right ? This game is really incredible I just played it following your tutorial huge difference I’ll post a video as well for you
@ @ generally speaking, it’s physics based, so if you want good bot interaction, plus bouncing grenades off of walls, cabinets, etc., build it like irl as much as you want to satisfy your desired level of detail. Place cabinets as they actually are and it’s like they’re interacting with your cabinet, not just a box you placed in the game. Like if you have a low cabinet, table, etc against a wall and you blast the bot with a shotgun, they could go back on top of your cabinet and hit the wall! So you want both walls and cabinets duplicated in the map. I suggest not to use the “solid box” tool, just use the “box” (or grounded box) when outlining real objects. I’m planning to post an “advanced” setup video soon. Looking forward to seeing yours!

The Vr game is on another level
Yes, it is an incredible game! It is maybe the best mixed reality game I’ve played so far.
So how did you set this up exactly can I go on multiple floors or just one floor if you go to arena you can set it up and play solo against bots? But were you able to walk a room to room to scan every area?
@@GEOFFYCOLLECTION hey there, the Arena Mode has a Map Editor, so you use that to create your map. It doesn’t rely on the Meta spatial setup, but make sure your floor is properly setup in the Meta setup before running the game. There’s no scanning, you setup the walls and objects. It works way better than anything using the Meta setup. You can only use one floor, no multiple floors yet. You can add real players or bots to your team, the opposing team, or both.
Do I have to make sure the meta is set up for the whole floor first because I find it I can’t go very far when I do the meta set up
@ No, you can just complete a basic Meta space setup. Then you will make your own room setup in Spatial Ops.
@@GEOFFYCOLLECTION I just posted a new video that has a full setup tutorial - check it out

Hei bro. Coop im apocalíptic?
Hi, did you have to configure game bad cant seem to get my PS5 or xbox one controller to work :-(
@@alanlee8935 👋🏼 yes, in some way it must be configured. You need first to make sure that MS Windows can read the controller as input. You can either connect a controller directly to the PC or use a Bluetooth gamepad linked to your Quest headset. Then use the Windows game controller utility to make sure the gamepad is providing inputs to Windows. If not, you need to check that whatever software you are using is setup to allow the controller inputs to pass from Quest to PC (I use Virtual Desktop). Once that is valid, you should be able to use the controller as an input device to the PC VR application.
@allbecomesiron hi thanks for coming back to me your a star. I did manage to connect directly to the pc and it worked but it's quite a distance away from the pc. Would be better if I could get it to work with the quest. It does pair with the quest but doesn't seem to pick it up on virtual desktop this way when it's paired to the the quest directly :-( the utility software is that on the quest? Thanks again.
@ There is a setting in the Quest Virtual Desktop>Input>Gamepad that emulates a gamepad as the input device to the game. I think you need to enable that. You may need to also enable the option “use touch controllers as gamepad” but I’m not 100% on that. I believe I covered it in the video somewhere, but I could be wrong. The utility is in Windows. Do a Windows search for “controller” and then select “Set up USB game controllers” you should see a device there if it is recognized by the PC. If not, you can try other Gamepad option selections in VD or something else. Good luck!
Can you fly in FPV mode?
@@Dragorus360 From my experience the first person view is only on the 2D display as shown in the video. Flying truly from the first-person view in VR would make a lot of people uncomfortable, but personally I would like it and already play flying & driving sims. I think the application really shines in mixed reality, which hopefully looks even better with the v71 OS update coming soon. Software to enable a drone first-person view of the player’s room is probably a year or two away, and will require a different room mapping scheme from Meta.
Great job. I will buy a Meta Quest 3 because of this video. Why are the bars different for the Quest 2 vs the Quest 3? Thanks! Wish the car Sims were as good.
@@highwaymen1237 What?! I had no idea these handlebars would be such a motivator for a headset purchase. The Quest 2 controllers have tracking rings and Quest 3 controllers don’t, so any controller attachments will be different.
@@allbecomesiron I didn't know that. Thanks.
How long did it take you to set up your arcade?
@@MisterUrbanWorld The arcade is already setup. Once the application and game files are installed, the arcade is playable. The time required for getting and installing files is very little, maybe 30 minutes.

Bro I was thinking, it would be cool if you could design a tball type stand that the bars could mount to and teeter totter back and forth on. Just an idea 💡

Hi friend, I will try to play ATC by airlink in LAN , everything works perfect, but when I try to play a game I cant use my 8bitdo arcade stick. I connect it with BT to meta quest , any ideas to make it work ??? As I can see in your video you connect your controller by BT and works well right ?? Thanks 👍
Hi there - if you’re using AirLink, I don’t think AirLink will pass your BT device data to the PC. I use Virtual Desktop and it does have that feature. I suggest connecting your arcade stick directly to the PC and testing it using Windows Game Controller > Properties to verify the stick and buttons work. Or you can use an online controller tester - you can find these with Google. Once that’s confirmed you should be able to start the game cabinet in ATC (as long as you have the ROM files properly installed) and it should automatically switch from your headset motion controllers to your arcade stick once the game is running in ATC.
@@allbecomesiron the controller works well in airlink if I am near the PC. But I want to play from another room far of the PC. I see in your video than you connect the game controller with BT directly to headset and works correctly right ¿? @@yunta_ Yes, that is how I connect: BT gamepad > Quest 3 (via WiFi and Virtual Desktop) > PC. In your headset you should pull up the VD menu with the left motion controller menu button.
