Nice setup and a very enjoyable video. From personal experience (paramedic in Ireland), you have a Non-Rebreather O2 mask, I would advise to add a Nasal Cannula. You be surprised how many patients improve on just 2 to 6 L of O2. a. Not as scary as having a big mask put on your face. b. If your patient is nauseas and wants to vomit he or she can do so, without having to pull the mask off. c. You will hear your patient better (yes I know they are short of breath but they just keep talking despite you asking them to stop talking to save their breath 🙂). d. If their SPO2 doesn't improve, you can always upgrade to a Non-Rebreather mask. You said Water-Jel wasn't in your protocol, but seeing that you have some anyway, try to get a Water-Jel facemask. When something goes wrong with e.g. a barbecue or an open backyard fire, it often 'blows up' in their face. The facemask is perfect then. See you can use the facemask on any part of the body, but you can't cover the face properly with the 'normal' Water-Jel dressings. You know after 25 years in the job, I still keep making changes/updating/improving my own bag. We can all learn from each other. So thanks again.

@@ralph6142 Hi there Irish paramedic. One of my favorite countries to watch rugby! I do have a cannula in the green pouch. The NR doesn’t fit, so I leave it in the main compartment. The water gel face mask is a great suggestion. Maybe we can get it added to our local protocols.

Just did this repair on my bike. Everything seemed to go ok. What torque spec did you end up using with the new bolts / inserts ? I’m at about 25 ft / lb with lots of red loctite. I’m afraid to go any higher lol!

Good morning from the Great State of Texas. I like your bag and the list of supplies you carry. I do ask, I might have missed it, but her goes. How come you do not carry gauze pads and rolls of gauze. Not all bleeding needs the expensive pressure dressings. Also, please put the cold pack inside a zip lock bag. I have ice packs brake inside my bag and ruin the other contents. Very good bag lay out, I like it Thank you for your time in making this video.

    • @AdventureswithPatrick

To save space I use compressed gauze which expands when the vacuum seal is opened. There are two of them in the bag.
