Why am I watching this on a blade 14 2023 haha

Kind of interesting seeing the Mobile 4090 being compared to the desktop 4080. Clearly it can't hang, the desktop component GPUs have access to more power than the entire 330w allocated to the Razer Blade. What's interesting though, is that these 40xx series laptop chips actually compare favorably against the 30xx series desktop chips. At least as far as the data I'm seeing is saying. It would have been interesting to see a comparison between a desktop 3090 and the laptop 4090.

If you wait until a newer model blade comes out the price of the previous generation goes way down

That fan seems impossibly high in silent

wish they would switch to a standard charging port. Had one of the prongs break on me and it's considered abuse and not covered under warranty 😞

These feel super cheap. They are hollow and all sound from switches reflect that hollowness. The rumble motors are the worst part. I had to turn rumble off it felt so bad. Not to mention these grips drain power twice as quick over the OEM Joycon. After trying a ton of grips, I have settled with Satisfye and Skull & Co grips. I changed out the joysticks on all my Joycon with Hall effect. Why can't they make a controller grip feel as quality made as Xbox Series controllers or PS5 controllers?

I bought Razer 14 because Asus was not available in Stores at that time. Later I checked Asus 14 in Saturn Store and I can say it is big diferrence. Asus just feels cheap with that plastic all around. I v dropped Razer 2 Times and beside small schratches nothing happened to it where I am sure Asus would break. Build quality on Razer is just superb and if you want Laptop that will last you for years to come, not only performance wise but also look wise, buy a Razer.

I trued on the 512 oled. You will not have audio and you will need a wifi driver from lenovo. If anyone has successfully installed windows or windeck OS , please let me know what you did to get Audio. 📰🪶real news

The "stupid" output also allows you to update the firmware-which you should, as it makes it even better with more customizable options. I myself may not use it as a controller (I do not play Switch on TV!), but if I wanted to, it can save money for those who do not have other controllers around. In my case, I have an 8bit brand controller I cannot find (dumb me), so it would help if I wanted to use it as a PC controller with D pad. So many complain about a "bizarre", out of view option they do not use, but it's there, and it can help others... why complain about it? Worse come to worst, it is the one way to update the firmware. I like it very much-on sale now, so for $69.99 for the limited editions with the additional goodies us really good. Do like the carrying case a lot as well.

Who buys this it's too expensive and is going to be outdated in a couple of years?

what the other laptop that bang for buck?

I was hoping a Switch plus Nitro Deck would replace my daily driver, a Switch Lite. Unfortunately, while the D-pad is indeed superior, it's not superior ENOUGH to make using it a pleasant experience for fighting games. Gotta have those fireballs, man, and you're not giving them to me. Not consistently, anyway.

Silly question i hope not . Ive ways liked gaming laptops for portability and then like pluggin them into gaming monitors for gaming . Would this blade still knock out of the park compared to my asus m16 3070ti

Good video. I actually ordered a black one and the retro purple. But yeah I’m loving it so far. Feels great to hold. Very similar to a steam deck, which is great. And idk what you’re talking about as far as the appearance….I think the black looks slick and very high quality. It’s just a matte black finish, and the switch looks great in it. Imo or course.

i think as long as you buy it on sale for about 2.2k its a good deal and the build quality is good....i wouldn't (and didn't) pay full price for it

Nice vid man, looking forward to mine coming in the mail. However, the terminology might be a bit confusing for some. From what I understand there is no video out or extra ports for peripherals. This is more of a controller/attachment vs docking station

between the rtx 4080/ and 4090 is like 3% diffrence at price tag 5100€ I don't feel like thats ok..

I own the new Razer blade 14, its the best laptop I have ever owned (putting the price aside), far superior to the G14 in design and look feel, if cost is your concern get a discounted 2022 G14

Razer is really great, but why 400$+ for the silver version (different color). I just dont get it. Price is already high.

Nice review bro! I own a G14 but the new Blade 14 did have a lot of new upgrades (finally!) that were desperately needed like having 2 slots of removable memory, improved cooling, better webcam, bigger battery. But I think in their minds these upgrades were justified for jacking up the price, which as consumers we're just rolling our eyes. Also in Canada it costs $3,249.99 compared to $1,800 for the same spec G14 lol unbelievable

There's been a hotfix issued by Razer to correct the flickering screen issue.

Great review man! Really helped me determine I just don’t think I can swallow $1K more for the same product. Heck, if anyone is alright with a slightly larger laptop, the ASUS M16 comes with an RTX 4080 and mini led for the same price as this RTX 4070 laptop. Razer has gone a bit too far with their pricing this generation.

i'm not gonna lie... lol the first step scares me... i wish made it just to unscrew like a laptop. i always open my laptop, and it's pretty easy. but this... tho you showed it's safe with the right tools, would love to see the deck 2 easier to open... but i will try once I get mine:) or just buy it with it already one it

Yeah, I've noticed artifacts in my screen as well and hopefully razer will fix it.

The Edge 5G is a wonderful device that does well at what it is desingned to do. No, it's not perfect however, it gives me a few hours of fun.

I have the razor edge 5g and This thing is freaking amazing!! It handles all my PlayStation 2, Wii, and android games like a champ! Play it just as much as I play my steam deck!
