If they just made a "mini" apple pencil for iphone, i'd buy it in a SECOND. I do so much creative work on my phone that is simply painstaking with my fingers. Yes, we need the option to have a stylus.

All of these problems have ALWAYS been problems on the iPhone. Looking for any information I came across a complaint from 2011. There's no excuse to keep bringing out 'new' models with these same old inexcusable problems. I've been using an iPhone for 9 years. I never get any of the alarms right. When my alarms go off the Stop button is hidden. So if I don't stop everything, look at the phone and hold down the button... it will just go to snooze mode. (And why is there only one time setting for this? Maybe I only want two minutes, or thirty?) I do know that after the first two years of the iPhone they had to rewrite the kernel of the code from scratch because the original team all burned out and left and no one knew how to change the code. Same thing apparently happened with iTunes (which they bought from another company.) It's actually surprising that iTunes survived. It was like duck sitting in the middle of the highway waiting to be run over. (My 1 pm alarm just went off for the 3rd time because the first two times I didn't press the button in the 'right way,' to bring up the stop button.) Is Android any better?

I loved my macbook and when I bought it I didn't care about the number pad being missing because I DJ with it so how important could it be? Yeah I needed it all the time. Wish they would fix that. I don't want to waste ports adding something that every other 15in+ laptop has. Also not a fan of spending more money for less features. But that's apple for you.

If you don't feel the need for a keypad, it's due to Apple grooming or brainwashing you. I have been using Windows laptops for years, and on a 15.6-inch laptop, it is far easier than trying to find the numbers in a long, thin line. Being used to a keypad is far quicker than the layout above the letters. Thinking it easier is a problem. I use both systems for different reasons. I constantly look for the number pad when word processing on a Windows PC, which is a blessing. Slow and tiring on a Macbook Pro. Writing information on a Macbook with a decent keyboard, pre-2016, is equally a blessing. I typed this on my ASUS Vivobook 15+ inch PC because my Friggin' Apple Macbook Pro 15 inch broke. Oh, you can buy a keypad to connect to your Macbook, Suckers.

This video is stupid Apple could just as easily add vibration to the iPad other tablets have it Hell they could use the speaker to vibrate the iPad if they truly wanted too. This video tries to come up with smart sounding reasons why iPad’s don’t vibrate but in the end it just sounds it’s because Apple is lazy or cheap or a combination of both.

Fun fact, iOS 18.1 beta enables a feature called “music haptics”, a feature which vibrates the Taptic Engine to Apple Music songs. The Taptic Engine will vibrate to bass, drums, and vocals depending on the setting. Unfortunately, Music Haptics is unavailable for many songs and I believe all of the motions are pre-programmed and do not work offline.

Taptic is essentially just a linear version of the traditional ERM (eccentric rotating mass) rotating motor. Its main benefit is that its volume shifted its function into a thinner profile. It’s just a linear movement vs rotational (ERM).

I have the opposite opinion to most commenters here. The Numeric Keyboard takes up too much space and ruins the entire aesthetic of the keyboard on many new Windows laptops.

I think it would be cool to feel the Taptic feedback like on my iPhone. I really like the feedback. I can feel my phone even on the table surface. So even when I'm not holding it, I like it. (although it's noticeably less and you won't always be holding the tablet. It's no a laptop. It's a tablet. but anyway not a huge deal ig. I definitely wouldn't mind though.
