you from new orleans?
@kid5042 yes but I live in Houston now
Thank you ! I had no idea where this thing was
Nice tip about the boot. Why on anti-seize on the plugs - I've never had a problem with it and a major headache with a plug that wouldn't come out breaking off without it. And way too much yap, just do the work is all we're looking for.
Thanks for video you are great where you located
Big up is a genius
Thanks man
Sir! I have very small hands,, and I own a 2008 Dodge Grrand Caravan 3.3 L V6 Feel fuel I removed my battery and Coil Pack with plate! I use a 10 mm long socket on a 3/ 4 Rachet.. Yes Sir I sure did get that bolt out! But there ain't no space nor enough room in that area to be able to even twist lose that Crankshaft Position Sensor, let alone taking an Steve drive to pry or turn. Crankshaft Position Sensor! There gotta be a better way!
You told the truth that Sensor is a bitch !
Hey! Thank you for your video!! I have a 2017 Kia sorento and is leaking oil and i also have the same issue, which is the flashing oil symbol, even when the oil level is within the limits. Do you think i could both issue bu replacing the pressure switch? Because othen than that the is running with no issues!
Kinda glossed over the total PITA power steering reservoir, but overall a good vid. Thanks.
Worked out for me! No room to spare on my 2012 but it came out and new one is in. Thank you so much for this great tip!
What size rachets do you use?
@@l.b.380 it looks like a 3/4 rachet and a small breaker bar
@@georgewoods3355 1/4 or 1/2 breaker bar fir the belt tensioner . 15 for the bolts 13 fir the altenator positive terminal.
Thank you for helping for me. I had the same problem and my car just started thank you.
Great to hear!
have to say, what a terrible terrible design, once the original spacer is knocked off, you will never get it in the correct location again.
Thanks for the video
i have same problem but my chrysler makes a tik …tik…..tik sound anyway to know what that is?
Ah so you definitely dont live in the rust belt lol. Doing this job in iowa rn and removing the exhaust is not an option. Them exhaust bolts will turn to dust if i even look at em wrong
I'm curious why you say no anti sieze on plug threads? I've always thought it only made good sense for steel to aluminum. Spark plugs are often in there for 10-15 years and 150,000 miles. I'm careful to get it only on the threads, none on either of the insulators.
@@paulteusink5124 I read there's a problem on some vehicles if you put anti sieze on the spark plugs
Yes on the 2011 i think you have to remove the plenum or the wipers. If you remove the plenum there's a bolt that holds a bracket on right and left side in the back thats probably the hardest part
Thank you George for some good tips. Great video. I just bought a 2011 lexus es 350 with 125000 on it. Servicing trans with aisin WS and filter replacement and also i'm doing new denso plugs and 3 new coils on the back side; because i dont want to have to go back there again any time soon hopefully. Do you think the plenum can stay on for the 2011 job. i think i have to remove the wipers too. any additional helpful info is appreciated.
Thanks bro just did it helped allot god bless you
Good video. Ty
Where can I buy it?
So. When you fix this an it's keeps on what then ? ? ?😊
Thank you, thank you, thank you. 👍
What year model is your Sorento? Mine is a 2018 and I can't find anything that looks like yours. They probably change the design so you have to bring back to them for expensive service costs!!
Dude, your voice! Smooth as molasses. You should be in radio! Great video by the way.
Thanks
I've got a 2018 Kia Sorento with a 3.3 V6, and it looks like you have to pull the freaking intake off to get to the oil sensor! They should be pimp slapped for designing something like this. It's just another money making scheme!!
Yes they make something that should be simple very hard
Very helpful thanks man! For those of you thinking you can get around removing the exhaust manifold that unfortunately is not the case.
just look at the retailer part for this ford fusion v6 and you will see, rock auto , autozone , napa, anywhere you like
@@chutemuchafibra thanks but on mine it’s one solid piece welded end to end to the exhaust manifold, if you get lucky and can remove it because you have a slightly different year then great but that wasn’t the case for my 2008 mercury Milan v6

What year sonatas are the same as this?
Not sure what years are the same but some of them are similar.
Great video brother
at 2:14. that metal doesn't suppose to move like that. it needs to be strong to hold the column in place. that is why the bolt at 6.24 is there.
not all Elantra are the same.
Would this sensor cause a crank no start?
Yes this will stop your vehicle from starting but first make sure you test the spark plug wires for spark
Just changed mines yesterday and it was no joke yours must not be a 4 Matic I had to remove my ac compressor 3 bolts and my alternator 4 bolts in order to remove them but one of mines was broken and leaking 😮on drivers side
Thats correct it's not a 4 matic
Thanks for the video! My son and I just did this today in less than 3 hours following your video. The car is so quiet now, just like a Benz!
This was really helpful and your voice is so calming. Lol. Thank you!!
You're so welcome!

This video definitely was compressed but you know you gotta give the DIY folks nore then that champ
Yes you are correct
Appreciate the help!!! Got it done easy!
Will oil leak out when this is removed?
Sorry for responding so late and pretty sure you have done the job by now but no the oil will not leak out
Thanks man
Good to know you don't have to disassemble from the top down like other people are showing. Thanks for posting.
Appreciate the video. Got this issue going on on my 2019 sorento so this helps a lot! Thanks
Hi - getting the same issues on my 2019 Sorrento. Were you able to fix yours? is the location similar to the one in this video (2017 Sorrento)? Appreciate any comments!
@dani94979 i was but i had to take it to the dealership. It's a bit more complicated than the 2017 unfortunately 😕
@@user-sc9sq9zd1f thank you!
Great job thanks!
Thank you. So you removed them both from the top (and not the bottom) and did not have to loosen the subframe bolts? Also when you rocked the engine to remove the drivers side mount was the other mount installed or out of the vehicle and is there any risk to rocking the engine where something may not line up? Sorry if it is a dumb question - rather ask then have an issue. Any difference with a 2014 sport version. Thanks again.
You can loosen subframe to gain a little room on the drivers side, or just do it like he said. Both mounts gotta be unbolted to move engine over. Ain't no dumb questions here, only way to know is to ask. Good luck. I ain't paying dealer $1500 either.
@@r.weaver3769 thank you for the answer and help, appreciate it.
Get to the point, what was the issue. What symptom
Thank you very much for this.
You're very welcome!
Did you have to use the spring compressor for the rear? If I'm changing the whole assembly will I need the spring compressor tool?
No the whole assembly is a drop the old one out pop the new one in
Thanks
