A few low level invasions with my falconer build. This is a character I like keeping at low soul memory so I can do coop and invasions during high activity periods, specially during Return to Drangleic events. Nice
This video was very therapeutic. It hurts a little bit, but it's sincere. "The hardest boss you can face is yourself." "I was so frustrated that I gave up." "Don't you dare go hollow." The part about goals leading us forward through unhappiness is so real. I feel like a mooch, a slacker, a burden on my parents. Typical, I guess? I struggle with despair. I look back on my mistakes and fears and I cringe so hard. I am physically overcome, my hands wrench up over my face. I decided I am finally going back to college. I started taking some steps and setting some goals. My coping skills transformed practically overnight. My self esteem is improving. I am not meaningfully "happy" now, but working at my goals ensures that I will be. It is worth doing. When I am working at my goal, and I have an intrusive thought that sends a spike of anguish, I do not allow it to intrude further. I cannot crumble over the past or the future, I would never get anything done. It is good to have a reason to remain composed. For now, I just need a reason. My work is the reason I need right now, for it will deliver unto me my real goals. My goals are to move out. To get a job that's interesting and won't kill me. To earn a better life for myself, and my cats. I've always wanted to experiment more with material things. Woodworking. Pottery. I used to watch "Primitive Technology", that looks pretty fun. And easy. I'll need to make some friends to share something that fun with. And dear god, I have pirated a lot of games. I need to buy them proper and restore all the starving indie devs I robbed.
Solid and achievable goals, plus a potential hobby. Seems like you're taking steps in the right direction. Wish you the best. You deserve it. And so do your cats!
This was such a cozy video, thank you for making this :D
Glad you liked it!!
I had a decent paying job last year that I worked over four years. I was overworked and miserable, stacking heavy lumber every day and often doing the equivalent of two jobs, but kept working regardless because my family was poor. I also had a lead who hated me and eventually he got the job I wanted and also got me fired. Now I realise I should have walked away from it when I realised I needed to. Still trying to get my life back together.
It's tough. Life sometimes requires us to stay in that kind of situation for a while. But I think if we at least *want* to find something better we are guaranteed to not stay there forever. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah I guess the lesson I learned is to give the same love and attention to myself that I've been giving to everyone else. It's been about a year and where have all these people been when I've been in a bad spot, you know?
My playthrough of Dark Souls 1 was that life is hard, but through jolly co-operation, it can be made easier. Sure I can face slam my self in to job/uni/relationships the same way you can attempt a boss over and over and over. but you can also ask others for help on how THEY beat the boss or apply for a uni course. and get help from others who did it before you.
So nice of Capra Demon to let you heal.
He may be a demon but he has manners.

This video is amazing. I used to play "the meta of life" pretty heavily given I was born in a poor family living in a 3rd world country. (Fellow brazilian) I got achievements, a career, was sponsored by the biggest cloud computing company in the world to live in Australia. Got my permanent residency, reached the top salary and all. Unfortunately, I lost myself along the way which resulted in health issues that I'm still trying to address to this very day (had a surgery literally 5 days ago). Last December, I found myself forced to quit my job to finally address these health issues, burning through my savings and investments to pay the bills and provide for my wife. During this time, I started doing something I've always loved, but never really tried. I started writing fantasy books. It was weird, after all I knew nothing about writing books. Heck, if it wasn't for my love for videogames I might not have learned English given I never studied the language. Right now I have two books published in the Amazon store (The Last Voidstrider series if anyone is curious), and even though my books resulted in a net loss in terms of money, I'm still writing others, happy for realizing I am capable of producing the kind of good stories I fell in love with when I was a teenager. Now I'm finally recovering my body and mind, and I feel ready to go back to the market, but this time I have the mindset that burning your life to achieve an amazing career is not worth it if you lose yourself in the process.
I happen to be an aspiring fantasy writer, so your comment resonated a lot with me. I'm glad you found my video and that you enjoyed it enough to write this comment. Hope things keep getting better for you!
@ButWordsRemain Thank you. I hope things get better for you as well. 🙏
Amazing analogy and amazing gameplay!!!

That video was one of the best videos that i have ever watched. I loved hearing you rant about life and the fact that you are Brazilian came to me like a plot Twist, i dont know if you are refering to the flood as the one that happened here in the south, but if it's so me to has been affected, all my best condolences for you man. Good video
It was precisely that one, yes. But I was fortunate to not lose nearly as much as so many others did. Thank you for your comment and sub!

I stumbled here accidentally, and what you said resonated with my recent thoughts. I hear all around about "optimalization." Optimal training, optimal diet, optimal ways to have fun, yaddi yadda. It tires me to no end. There's no fun anymore, no exploration, no making mistakes, and stumbling around until you find your way. And God forbid we have some fun while we're here if it's not optimal. Thank you for sharing. And to you, dear reader - go ahead and have fun with exploration. You'll find your way eventually.
admiro um br gravar o video todo em ingles, boa men
Valeu!
i never saw anyone saying to level up endurance and vitality , if i want to play a mage i'll just put points in inteligence before anything, the important part is dealing damage, since you have the abillity of dodging attacks but i understood the message
Sotaque BR 😂
Não dá pra esconder kkkk
Kakakakakkakak curti muito o video!!! Nao para
I feel that what you are talking about is really important, i recently started going to college for a "meta" major, i know this is what i want to do with my life, i find joy in the pursuit of knowledge in this field and i see myself being fulfilled working in the industry. most of my friends, however, aren't meta players, they forced themselves into studying this either beacuse theres a bunch of money down the line or beacuse they MUST go to college for something, anything. I see them unhappy, stressed and lacking hope, just getting by, surviving. As a society we need to promote other options for people like my friends so they won't end up trapped in a job they hate, that they got from a major they hated studying for. btw, you were playing really well, even if you aren't a no-hit god
It can be hard to convince them. But if more people choose to live their lives in their own way, more will become comfortable enough to do the same. Thanks!
This video found me at the right time, I got into a prestigious university but was miserable there, so eventually I dropped out. Friends family everyone called me lazy but I was just really depressed . I managed to find a job I liked and actually enjoy working hard I even spend my free time learning new skills to further my career. at one point I in my life I even convinced myself that I was lazy and was good for nothing, turns out I just do well In academic system. Now I’ve managed to almost quit my bad habits and my mental and physical health have improved Things still aren’t easy if anything they’ve been harder than they’ve ever been but for once I’m not miserable and I think that’s worth something. I still want to be rich one day don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think the meta is for me. Also one thing I’d like to add on to your video is that I don’t believe in a purpose or grand objective in life and I don’t really think there is a main objective, because I feel like my long term goals change at least once a year haha. I think we have to decide on what’s the most important thing right now and work hard towards that and things work out eventually Anyways thanks for the video chief
Glad you got something out of it! Thank you for your comment.
nice video
Thanks
This popped up in my recommendations and i decided to give it a try, super nice title dude it caught my attention immediately. You have a knack for that. I have found that DEFINING goals is the hard part, not having them. If you are rowing on a misty waterway, how will you know you are going in the right direction? I think its really important to mention that someone has clear, concise goals with a clearly defined method to achieving it (though not necessarily, sometimes you only have the pieces to take the first step, and sometimes thats all you need). If happiness is your goal, what is that to you? what are you doing/have done/going to do to make that happen? Give your brain, your soul and your body a clear path! or at the least make sure you can see the next step on the staircase!!!
True. Defining a goal is often easier said than done. But I also think just *wanting* to find a goal is enough to eventually stumble into it. You rarely find something when you're not looking for it. Sadly, as I said in the video, I get the impression many people are just going through the motions, "playing the meta" even though they never really decided to do that... Anyways, thank you for your kind words! It's always nice reading comments like that.
Hope you don't mind the sudden change in video style. A lot has happened recently and I just don't have the energy to make the kind of content I was making before. This style of video just feels... Natural, for now. Let me know if you like it.
query I have 130,0000 MS but I don't look for or find anyone I am level 106 with weapons +8 normal and special +4, what would be a good MS range to start invading I have been playing DS2 for 3 weeks on PC Steam
Hey there. Weapon upgrade doesn't affect multiplayer in anyway in DS2. At that soul memory I think most players have at least their main weapon fully upgraded. This video was recorded at around 30.000 SM. Lots of activity to be found on starting and mid-level areas, specially during weekends. For the rest of the game I see many people suggesting to stay just under 1 million. Beyond that and I think you'd only really find activity on the DLC areas or Drangleic Castte. You might wanna have multiple characters at different soul memory levels so you can invade in different areas.
I don't think it's the computer. Mine is pretty good but I still had some problems during this mission. Not to mention the train mission in WG mod...
Probably an optimization problem then. Good to know!
ugh, i hate this place. spaghetti... and corpses, boss. lots of corpses. way too many corpses. it's chilling if you disable ai anim in the basement, they just respawn out of nowhere as soon as you turn your focus away. nightmarish.
they should let you kill Gimble no matter who you're playing, he's a menace to both kindred and kine. just make him baneridden or something so he doesn't read as entirely human, the Society can justify it
After a year i feel that i must say: General Kenobi!
You are a bold one!
Great little showcase of how Skyrim’s positioning based combat can be improved with just a couple of mods. Precision implements such a small change but the impact on the feeling of combat is huge. I like to use Blade and Blunt for what it adds to combat in terms of enemy ai, stamina management, and risk of injury, etc. that paired with a mod called Arena makes combat much more challenging and requires you to make use of other game mechanics in order to prepare for a dungeon, otherwise you’ll get toasted pretty quickly.
Exactly. No fancy dodge roll required. Just careful footwork.
Is hunter a good choice as a first playthrough?
Definitely not! This campaign takes place after the main story, so it's best played after you've finished your first playthrough as a vampire.
so true
Ok Duncan Mcleod
Hell yeah i love to see some new dark souls 2 content

One of main reasons why I LOVE VTMB! It always have backdoor for almost all problems and blocks in game!

There can only be one!
"You'll notice, that all doors are locked on this llevel, so we can't visit our old apartment". And why would we? Aren't we playing a completely differeent character now? Like sure, might be a fine easter egg or something, but if you roleplay, it isn't our apartment and never was, as we are a hunter from the Society of Leopold. It was an apartment of a fledgling vampire, who we might not even known for god's sake.
You're right. I just meant "our" apartment as in "we, the players". Would have been fun to see the apartment and find some reference to our fledgling vampire there, though.
I plan to run a Great Britain chronicle set in V20 Dark Ages! At the time of Mithras’ rule.
That sounds awesome! Mithras' quite the fascinating character!
Hi there! The mod is about killing without any other feature?
Hey! Yes, it's mostly combat based. Though there's a bigger mod called Prelude, which is a lot more story-centered. It also involves playing as a hunter.
@@ButWordsRemainoh really? How is it
@@danny_decheeto8300 I haven't played it myself, but I heard it's pretty cool and well made.

Yes, I kinda forgot it has a scope. Thanks!
Is the fume knight immune to getting staggered?
I believe he just has really high poise. Even when up against players with heavier weapons, I don't recall seeing him getting staggered.

Great video. Do you mind sharing your modlist ?
Thanks! Unfortunately this modlist is toast, since it was made prior to the big Creations update which broke most mods. I'll try to recreate it soon and share it in future videos.
Nice! I stumbled upon this vid by chance but I'm glad I gave it a watch; I like this kind of mods in skyrim. If I may ask, I noticed you're using "experience" to make leveling slower via questing/exploring. How has it felt so far? Also, are you using any combat feedback/hit effect mod such as "precision" or "stop on slash"? Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! Personally, I can't play Skyrim without Experience anymore. Not only it makes leveling slower, it also makes quests more rewarding. I find myself eager to deliver quests so I can get the next level, which is nice since many of them don't have great rewards(i.e. a small bit of gold or weapons which don't match your build). I tried using Precision for a time but just couldn't get used to it. I have over 10 years of muscle memory built into this game, and the new hitbox system kinda throws that out the window. For this video I was combining Stop on Slash with another hit reaction mod.

Im starting my first VtM chronicle tomorrow and im psyched. Spamming WoD lore to immerse myself in deep. I first played Bloodlines back in 2018 or so and I have been holding my breath ever since. Now the final nights are here. And I rise from torpor like a pheonix from its ashes, just dying to introduce my buddies to the setting.
Glad you found our video! I managed to get a friend of mine into VTM too recently. It's awesome seeing them getting pulled into by all the intrigue and mystery. Hope all goes well with your chronicle!
"Holy symbols, such as crucifixes, have no power against them" If you hear something there, it's the Baali's all over seething
Love your hand drawn art style, music, presentation. Esp the art doodles, they're all so wonderfully done, can we seem them in a larger form next time? All top notch dude, wish you well on your channel! Question, quick one I guess - while I know the Anarch symbol has varied over the years, I was always more particular with the old one, the one with the elongated ankh and elements of the Sword of Caine. But you're using the old symbols for the clans, for ex. So got me thinking, are you basing your to be video series on 5th Ed? Or 4E20th? (hoping for the latter lol)
Thank you for your kind words! But I'm not the one doing the drawing actually. All the artwork on the channel is done by my wife. We kinda run the channel together. As for your question. I'd like to mostly base our videos on information prior to the main changes of 5th Edition. But I'll probably talk about some of those big changes where necessary, comparing then vs now. Stuff like the Tremere's chantry being destroyed, or the Lasombra defecting to the Camarilla, etc.
@@ButWordsRemain Well then let your wife know her artwork is wonderful. Its all very beautiful in a way, people look beautiful, even when vague. Even when facial features masked, say, many details. Just again hoping next time you display the artwork across a bigger field! Also, agreed on your direction then. I feel like that's the best move. Take some of the "good" advancing the plot parts of V5, like the fall of the Pyramid, but otherwise stick it to 4E20. For newcomers, I would suggest pointing out the difference between 5E and all before it, since 5E is...very different. Stylistically even, its very different. For the worse in my opinion, but alas.
@@IconOfSin24148 She's very happy to hear that! Also, we'll be looking into increasing the art panel's size for the next videos. Feel free to have a look at her own channel and her Twitter. You can find both on our channel's page. And yes, I agree with you on the changes made in 5E, specially what happened to some of the more unique disciplines, like Thaumaturgy or Dementation.
Hey, thank you so much for the kind words, I really appreciate them. I'm glad you like my art and I'll keep doing my best. o/
