The module uses the VCV Rack API to load the image, which in turn uses NanoVG (github.com/memononen/nanovg/blob/master/src/nanovg.h) which in turn uses stb_image (github.com/nothings/stb/blob/master/stb_image.h) As far as I can tell the limit would just be memory as long as it is a supported image format (jpg, png, psd, tga, pic and gif according to the NanoVG header). I have seen instances of images not loading, normally this can be fixed by resaving the image, or on windows you could make a screenshot of the image. Also, double check that you have the Image Background > Draw background & Image on top of colour options enabled in the right-click context menu, you might be loading the image but just not rendering it.

Possibly composited into the video and not a module. There a couple of modules designed specifically for enabling color-keying to composite video, including DanT's Purfenator, and pachde-1 Null.

The controls to change the panel colour are in the right-click context menu under `Plugin Settings -> Panel Colour -> RGB`

Hmm, very strange, is it just the Purfenator module that doesn't change colour? What about the other modules, all the Nu Metal modules (PolySplice & Kalkatron) should share the panel colour setting, and all the other modules, excluding Moar Cowbell, should be able to use the Chromagica and the Magical CV theme to change colour. Please could you raise an issue here so we can investigate in more detail, thanks. github.com/Miff-Real/DanTModules-Manual/issues

If anyone else experiences this, the behaviour of the panel not changing colour is caused by the Rack "View -> Use dark panels if available (experimental)" setting and the Plugin "Plugin Respects Dark Panels Setting" setting both being active at the same time

This is VCV, a virtual modular synth (aka Eurorack) app, so yes it is similar to Bitwig Grid, although it would be difficult to succinctly sum up a translation from one to the other. It's actually not that complex a patch patchstorage.com/lugubriousynth/ Happy to answer any questions you have. High level overview is: A clock for the sequencer and envelope triggering, some generative modulation of the sequence, a quantizer, two oscillators, three aux effects (delay, reverb, bitcrush) and a filter on the side channel.

I think the only premium module is the Host-FX, which is running ValhallaSupermassive, you can replace this with any free delay module, such as Chronoblob

I think if you are going to use it regularly over the coming months, maybe years then its totally worth it, but, how do you know? Luckily there is a demo, so you can try it for free and see if you think its worth it. For me it is well worth it.
