All about physical preparation and rehabilitation.
I'm a physiotherapist, gymnast and alpinist.
Graduated in physiotherapy at the University of Milano-Bicocca in 2023.
As a gymnast i was trained by Olympic champion Igor Cassina and Olympian Alberto Busnari. I'm specialized on still rings and pommel horse.
I won the bronze medal in pommel horse at the 2019 Italian Junior Championship. I participated in the 2023 Italian Serie A championship representing Sporting Club Roma.
As an alpinist i have experience in high-altitude climbs and alpine routes.
Main alpine routes: Cima Campelli-Canale dei Camosci PD-, Rocce Rosse-Cima di Fenia VI+, Zucco Barbesino-Spigolo del prete VI, Rocca di Baiedo-Via Solitudine VII, Gronda del Vaccarese-Via della Pera variante VI, Punta Giordani 4046 F+.
I study and i'm interested in physical preparation and rehabilitation in the world of artistic gymnastics and alpinism.

An outstanding achievement after a lot of work!
Great research!
Thank you!!!
@@simonepozzoni Do you use any Olympic lifts in your training?
@@neocloudmarts9613 No, Olympic lifts are too technical and specifics. On my book "Against gravity" you can find the lifts which are more useful for gymnastics/calisthenics training!!! Generally speaking i think military press, squat with high intensity and low volume, weighted dips and pull ups are more useful than Olympic lifts.
Can you do baladin (butterfly to Maltese, planche or inverted cross)
I'm training the Balandin but it's not my goal at the moment.
I have a teamate push me so that I am swinging in front support. Then I press to handstand whilst swinging, and try to hold it without support from the cables. Once I can no longer hold it, I use the cables for support. This has really improved my HS and allowed me to focus on the ring position that they are supposed to be in.
How many sec ring handstand do you recommend for ivt?
You need to have a solid handstand, then you can start specific training.
Are you pressing through the heel of your palm and your fingers?
Yes
Nice one brother. Good control displayed.
these are happy for me to do wrists prep or warmup
is this bettet to be done before or after a session? and how many times per week?
You can do it before the training session in order to increase wrist ROM for the training. But you can also do it at the end. You can do it during the warm up of each training session.
Keep downloading videos don't stop
Thank you for your support!!!
What is the best place to buy your book?
@@randeepwalia1507 on Amazon you can order the ebook or paper version!!! The link in is description or you can search "Against gravity" book Simone Pozzoni.
V-sit iron cross? Damn!
@@randeepwalia1507 thank you!!!
grande
Grazie!!!
Non ho parole, complimenti !
very interesting,thanks!
Thank you for watching!!!
is there a system that you use or is it just a byproduct of heavy gymnastic training.
At 90% it's a byproduct of heavy gymnastics training. I only train weighted pull ups 2 times per week or less.
Cool bro
Clean✨️
Can you make a video on the system you used to progress with youre weighted pull up
Citando mago Forest "Yuri Chechi , Chechi Yuri"
you´re a MONSTER!!!
How strong!
Thanks
Impressive!
The legendary bro!
Thank you!!!
Rly good routine, keep it up.
Do you have tips for the iron cross please ??
In my book "Against gravity" there is a chapter about iron cross training. And there is also a video on the channel about it.
How often and how many sets?
It depends on your training programme, generally I use 3x3 (3 max hold for 3 times). However in my book "Against gravity" you can find more details.
@@simonepozzoni thank you

hey. can you do a tutorial on butterfly pullup? Pullup from hanging position to iron cross
Absolutely i can do it. There is also a chapter about it on my book!!!
@@simonepozzoni great. Ill be waiting, subbed. Achieved my iron cross :) Now I want to do combo butterfly to iron cross :)
Great, very nice and difficult skill!!!
@@simonepozzoni Hey. Just wondering when its possible to expect that tutorial? :)
@@Gragon not soon unfortunately I have little time this period. In July for sure!!!
👏👏👏👏
How often you train front lever ?
Rarely, I train inverted swallow sometimes.
Bravissimo❤❤❤❤
This is how its really done. Not those dodgy "tutorials" that lead you straight to a deadend and injury.
Thank you!!! I appreciate it!!!
I am 50, too old for cross, I have never done gymnastics I am 190cm, 6'3", too tall for gymnastics. I am 320lbs, 145kg, I am way to heavy to do rings. I didnt care, I wanted it anyways, I trained it since I was 47, I trained it properly right from the start and I still have a chance to get it. 💪👍
@@deltalima6703keep up the good work!!! If you want to get more info about iron cross and calisthenics training you can take a look to my book "Against gravity", there is a video also on the channel. Thank you!!!
Very cool, im still stuck at the iron cross but i hope to maltese in a couple of years 😂
Keep up the good work!!!
How much is the second part of the movement harder (or easier) than straight arms no straddle press to handstand?
I think it's harder, you need to hold the shoulders at the rings level, this is the difficulty.
I'm not gay but damn 😍
lol
Sarai mica Yuri Chechi????
Da provare... quanti kg consigli?
Il carico ovviamente è soggettivo, consiglio un carico medio/basso che permetta di mantenere a sufficienza la posizione di isometria.
Wow man solid v cross
Thank you!!!
Maybe it's just the angle but that Maltese is looking so much better! Also, what do you think about peptides?
Thank you!!! I haven't the competence to speak about this argument, however on my book you can find info about creatine and beta-alanine. There are few studies about these two supplements for gymnastics and calisthenics. It semms that creatine can be useful to improve maximal strenght, but obviously I underline that I dint suggest the use of any substance or supplement.
The skill has gained popularity recently, it's of E value
Yes it's an E value at the moment, but in future CoP probably will be an F value.
@@simonepozzoni considering it's probably one of the easiest Es in the CoP I don't think so. If it gets F value, then skills like Azarian maltese, Balandins (1,3) & Van Gelder should also be upgraded to F. But it would be nice to see strength elements of higher rated difficulty on rings since they're a bit behind compared to other apparati
Yes you are right, strenght elements are too underrated in recents CoP, would be interesting to see bonus fir strenght connections for example. There are also errors in the CoP, for example Carmona is an F value as the Zanetti, but Carmona is a Zanetti plus a press to inverted cross so it's an harder skill.
To discover others training methods take a look to "Against gravity" link in description!!!
What happened
Wouldn't it be faster if your worked on straight arm touch front lever and then on clean vicotrian?
I think one way doesn't esclude the other. Also the straight arm touch FL is very useful.
