I love how, in the Futurama movie that had Penn and Teller (Into the Wild Green Yonder), even though Penn was the only one talking, and Teller was quiet as a dead head, they were still in the credits as Penn and Teller. Made me chuckle.
Was really hoping it would have been like 5 whole minutes of him sitting there being quite
It's a choice. He has reasons.
So… not a show for the blind lol
Silky smooth caramel Teller voice. Not sure what I was expecting...bird noises? Good voice tho.
It's actually brilliant.
it's too weird
i wonder when im going to hear gromit talk
Lovely voice. Also a little surprising to hear what a great voice it is.
the power of being a 'silent' person gives you an amazing ability to 'listen' you’ll hear things no one else notices, & often quite intriguing conversations.
His voice sounds exactly as it should
I always assumed he stayed silent because of some tribute to the genius of classic comedy duos like laurel and hardy. Combine that with magic and voila!
I met Teller after one of their shows in Philly (Teller's home town!). Yes! He really does talk after the show is over. He's very nice to speak to. Very approachable and friendly.
The irony of him having a very pleasant voice.
I feel almost guilty clicking this video. 🤣 It's like I'm intruding on something.
Nooooo I wasn’t supposed to hear this ever!!
He sounds like he look
Wow. Penn is such a great ventriloquist
Like with the old clown Emmet Kelly, as Teller gets ready for a performance, at what point does he refuse to speak? Or, like with a MIME. you break the outline of the makeup and then they will speak. It was nice to see how articulate he actually is, and to hear about some of venues he had as he was coming up.
It’s kinda sad he doesn’t talk as his voice is actually really nice :)
Genius, let the craft talk for its self.
I heard him on a This American Life segment. He was quite fascinating and fun to listen to
I went silent for a day when I was a teen picking Logan berries. Some of the other pickers thought that I was mad at them but I just wanted to see if I could remain silent for several hours. It turned out to be one of my better days because I filled more than my usual number of crates with berries.
I recall Penn saying, "He does talk... just not very much."
Teller's explanation of why he doesn't talk is very much an explanation of the power of silent movies.
Try find a recording of Stephen Hawking's real voice
If he wasn't a magician, he'd be a radio or TV announcer.
Ok before i start the video he better not fucking speak or so help me god
I love that his name is "Teller" and he tells nothing. His silence in the act gives him a Bugs Bunny like quality where he looks like he's trying to get away with something.
He looks a little like film director Sam Raimi.
Kinda looks like Todd Barry, turns out kinda sounds like him too!
Who, besides Penn, knew Teller was the most articulate of the pair?
Telller has such an handsome voice and he never uses it?!?!
This is the greatest magic trick ever! It sounds like teller is actually talking. Penn is the worlds grestest ventreliquist.
He talked on Miami Vice as well.
The irony is Teller has a great speaking voice.
I'm sure that him not speaking had something to do with his rigs for his tricks.
Teller using his voice explaining why he doesn’t, is such a “Teller thing to do”.
What a hell of a good voice to keep a secret too
I turned it down and read the transcript.
I was hoping for a 4 minute video of him just keeping his lips zipped 🤣
I thought he was mute.
Great advice for musicians also. Let the art speak for itself.
Teller did Yellowface!? Oh Dear...
Plot twist: Teller has a very smooth, attractive voice.😊
This is the longest Penn has ever been silent!
Nothing fools you better than the lie you tell yourself. No true words have ever been spoken. We have evidence of this fact today.
Teller’s entire sequence was recorded by a voice actor and what you’re seeing is his masterful memory and performance lip-syncing the entire thing. Truly magical.
I wonder how different his voice would be if he didn't stay silent after all these years. I can't really imagine a soft-spoken magician any other way.
What a voice!! 😍
