Anyone who ads music to a video should be arrested.
Who ever added the music should be banned from ever working on any video. 👎👎👎👎👎👎💩💩😬
Volume is terrible.i can't hear it.😢
Really neat seeing this vintage stuff,,including push trucks of the day..
This documentary needs to be updated by 37 years
Thanks for posting
Great times. Use to skip school sneak on the track and ride my dirt bike. Use to fish there as well later when the track was being demolished … it became a dirt bike go to spot
How cool! I was there! I was only few months old. Dad aka Dickie Green was now Resident Engineer for ASTON MARTIN and he drove the DBR1 from Hornburgs to Riverside (my mum was John Wyers secretary!). The two guys with funny hats early in the film Eric Hind is at the right, he came with Salvadori from Feltham, was Aston mechanic. Im the LAST person ever to win at Riverside, was last race of teh day, 2nd wave AFM motorcycle, Won it overall on the line! WestCoastBritishRacing is me
потрясающее видео , очень редкие кадр , спасибо автору канала!!
Thanks for posting this movie, I have wanted to see it since it was released, but none of the libraries around me had it in their systems.
Dr's Olvey and Trammell are as important to Indy car racing as are any of the great drivers in the sport. The safety improvements made over the years have played an important part in cutting back on the injuries that were prevalent in the 70's and the 80's. I have heard the best thing that happens after an accident is seeing their familiar faces. The Hanns device as well as the fabrication of the cockpits with the use of carbon fiber and developing crush zones to protect the drivers as a result of the testing and the examination of the data from the accidents and the dedication of these two doctors looking for an answers like the g-force issue at the Texas Motor Speedway.
VOTE JIM PASCHAL HOF. THIS year. THANK YOU for the exciting, drama filled historical race.
long live old school nascar not this here impolitically correct garbage of today and espn loser ryan mcgee is just that a loser bye
I learned today that Ned is Dales father.
The 01 car is a Dodge, Ford and Mercury didnt make a 426, engine displacement clearly seen when the car was towed away. RIP Harold Kite.
426 seen on the hood, looked like a 1965 Dodge Coronet.
I was fortunate to meet Ned Jarrett years ago. His nickname was Gentleman Ned, a well deserved nickname, and much respect to him.
very cool. loved watching this.

how did you get this full broadcast?
NASCAR uploaded it and took it down after they realized it had crashes in it
Real nice films.🏁🏆🏆🏁
Damn those real estate developers!
Appreciate this. Thank you 🎉😊
Loved seeing the old midgets racing. I went to my first auto race in 1966 at Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix, Arizona to watch USAC Midgets race on the half mile. By 1970 I was hooked on racing and remember the 1973 Indy 500 too well. That was a dark racing month with three deaths (Art Pollard in practice, Swede Savage the race, and a mechanic I believe from Savages team being hit by a truck on pit road) everyone was glad it was over. 21-years later on 1 May 1994 the Formula One world would feel the same way.
ANOTHER TOP 10 for HB BAILEY in his PONTIAC…he also finished 5th at Darlington.😊
if THIS want the GREATEST RACE EVER run at CHARLOTTE i dont know WHAT IS. UNRESTRICTED EQUALLY PREPARED FORDS AND MERCS running in PACKS for close to the ENTIRE race (all due respect to Harold Kite and his family)
Fix the stretched picture. I turned this off.
every race ive seen DON DAVIS in shows him broad sliding….INCLUDING PAVED TRACKS OF ALL SIZES lol
what can anyone tell me about gorgeous ride with side pipes at 12:23? THANK YOU for this GREAT and HISTORICAL POST
Now they have a ghetto mall there.
Watched many races there when I was younger , only time I raced there was on a motorcycle. Sad to see it gone . P.s. that mall is empty with all the stores recently built around it.
I consider myself very fortunate to have driven my lowly Datsun 1200 on this same track as these famous drivers. Alas, the track and wonderful open fields are long gone, covered over by homes and a mall.
People dont realize just how close that ROY MAYNE in a CHEVY IMPALA or BUDDY ARRINGTON in a Dodge or even H.B. BAILEY in a PONTIAC were to WINNING THIS RACE. Now the final results will show that the winner finished FOURTEEN LAPS ahead of 2nd place and 19 LAPS ahead of MAYNE in 4th and ARRINGTON with BAILEY a couple of laps BEHIND Mayne and Arrington in 6th but…..the WINNER stated he wouldnt have made it FIVE MORE LAPS while the 2nd place car was smoking badly the brakes were gone and they were crawling and 3rd place was already out of the race. Sooooo…if Jarretts coasting vehicle didnt make it that adds 14 laps to the race that 2nd place, who was in and out of pits repeatedly had to cover as cars scored 4-6 were all making up laps in a hurry and only needed to make up 5 laps on 2nd place. Who knows how it would have turned out between Mayne and Arrington if 14 laps were added, Mayne had a half lap lead on Arrington at races end. In a year when it was all about Ford…..only 2 ended up in top 10. The winner…..and Wendell Scott in 10th.
THANK YOU for this historical post! do you have access to other old wwos races? you tube is missing quite a few old usac races, particularly at Trenton
i strongly suspect that Junior dropped out due to illness. Otherwise he would have fixed his issue
Have not seen this before! Thank you for sharing.
When did proper rollover bar protection, hand restraints and air filters appear
1969,I WAS HURT THE LAST YEAR/ I WAS HURT IN SEP 68. THAT WAS THE LAST YEAR WITH OUT THE CAGE !!!!😪
@@fireuptwo As a kid I managed to have a run in my brothers old super modified. I managed to nudge the fence and flatten an inch of rim bead. My helmet clouting the cage upright certainly got my attention
Excellent. Not good, excellent
This was on NASCAR Classics but was removed due to Harold Kite's accident. IMO this is a travesty of justice as NASCAR is trying to bury dark parts of their history instead of showing things as they are. They are hiding the Legacy of these men who have been killed by not being honest about what happened.
Thanks .I was at this race.I remember some qualifying got rained out and Ongais and a few other cars qualified before the race.I miss this race it was a week after Indy.Rex Mays was a Champ Car driver who saved another drivers life in turns one and two by stopping his car and waving drivers to slow and avoid another driver. They didn't wear any type of safety belts in those days front engine champ cars and the driver was laying in the track at Milwaukee.Rex Mays was killed in California after being ejected and ran over by another car.My father had the newspaper articles in a racing scrapbook I still have.
I was looking long time for this film. Thanks a lot for uploading!
