    When we challenge social anxiety - we will repeat same dysfunctional coping mechanisms we learned in ACE and ACoA like trying to fix angry people and feeling responsible for their problems. We will fawn. Social anxiety is also issue of toxic shame and harsh inner critic - which you devoid in your limited description of social anxiety. There are toxic people out there who are pathological liars and blamers and nitpicking error finders and who bully and mock other people. If we suppress our anger as reaction to toxic people - we will end up with people pleasing and fawning and Mate Crime

      Hello! Thank you for watching 😆🥰.The management of peptic ulcer disease depends on different factors. For example whether it is bleeding, not bleeding or perforated. Treatment options include eradication therapy with antibiotics and PPI or resuscitation (fluids+/or blood). NICE guidelines UK has some information about this. 🥰🥰 bnf.nice.org.uk/treatment-summaries/peptic-ulcer-disease/

      Hey! Thank you so much for watching😆. You can get out of an elective whatever you want really. I know some people go to particular countries so they can network. That way in the future, they will be in a better position to potentially work in that country as a doctor one day 🥰

    Make sure you dress like a professional and speak like one and wear all of the regulation clothes and accessories. Otherwise, you will find that patients and colleagues will doubt your knowledge, skills and abilities. You will not be taken seriously and you will be doubted. This will lead to colleague and patient problems. So do yourself a favour and act, speak and dress like the upper- middle class doctor that you are.

      Let black people be black people and normalise it. Why should she act and speak like a middle class caucasian person just to be taken Seriously. People like you are the reason why we arent taken seriously because of our ethnic background.

      @AbstractMedic 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! Thank you so much for watching. I stayed at First Central Hotel Suites/apartments. It cost roughly £2,600 for the whole 6 weeks. There are several hotels and apartments in that area. I just went for the most affordable at the time. I really wanted somewhere with a kitchen and washing machine , so I'm sure that contributed to making it more expensive 😃

    Heyy there, i would like to know what did you do during your medical elective like was it hands on like could you do history taking, physical examination and stuff or was it just mainly observations?

    • @AbstractMedic
      @AbstractMedic 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey!! thank you for watching! My medical elective was a clinical observership so it was a lot of observing and not too hands-on. During my rotation in ENT, I was able to do ear examinations (otoscopy) and use the nasal speculum a few times. As well as attend surgery. 😊😊😊

  • @candysnow993

    What was your total cost and how did you fund your elective ?

    • @AbstractMedic
      @AbstractMedic 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! Thank you for your comments and thank you so much for watching! \ So the breakdown of the costs are... - Elective/hospital fees: 2000 AED (£447.74) - Flight: £561.68 - Accomodation: 11,896.29 AED (£2,633.90) - Food&toiletries etc: I’d say about £800-1000 (unfortunately I didn’t keep track of things precisely but I think roughly about this much, which included eating out and ingredients to cook) - Visa: 900 dirhams (£194.76) So altogether around £3900 My elective was all funded by myself. Hope this helps!! ☺☺☺
