We were cat-free for about a year until a stray showed up to our house and our son took a liking to him. My parents (who live next door) took in four kittens from a feral female that has been lurking around their house. Thankfully, my mother caught her and got her fixed. There is no taming her but my mom puts food out daily. I guess a lady that lives at the end of our road feeds, something like, 25 feral cats. I haven't watched any of your live streams, but I should hop on sometime. I'll tell my mother about it as well, she may be interested in checking them out from time to time. Definitely want to do some different stuff with my channel going forward. We'll see how it shakes out.

I've got a couple airshows I will be attending in June. Lot's of pictures and maybe some video. Crossing my fingers that the weather plays nice.

Thanks! Yeah, I have a couple runs lined up for the summer, not yet officially signed up though. My son may participate once he is done with high school here in a few weeks. He's a runner and is going to be joining me on most of my races, and has some pretty ambitious goals of his own. I learned a little bit while recording this, that will hopefully improve my videos going forward. I have some other non-running stuff in the works; more vehicular related. Someday, I'm actually going to BUILD something on here.

Indeed and thanks. Not stressed about the race at all, but have been incredibly busy. My son had the exact same symptoms last week, so this didn't come as a complete shocker. I was hoping to get through this pollen season unscathed... Nope!

Yeah. We have 4 seasons here: Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Summer. We get the mud to, but it's always a guess as to how much. One summer, I couldn't mow my lawn until June... I've also seen snow in June, believe it or not.

Thanks! I'm worried that the inevitable burn-out will set in come fall. I'm hoping that mixing up my cardio between running and a bunch of other stuff will prevent that. Historically, once November sets in, I'm done until March. For once, I'd like to go a full year and see how I feel come spring.

3D printing is an oddly satisfying hobby. A guy I work with is currently printing the parts he needs to build a (mostly) printed RC car. I've used mine to print a part I needed to fix my chainsaw and caps to cover the front license plate holes on my Z3's bumper. That's one nice thing about living in PA; no front license plates.

Thanks. I wasn't a big runner until I was 35. Should have ran track in high-school, but I hated school so much I didn't want to spend any more time there than the state required.

These guys (mostly girls, actually) are sorta like pets in a weird way.

Yeah. That's why I started wearing the heart rate monitor while I'm there (I always wear it when I work out on my own). My big issue is the mixed messaging. They say "do what you feel", but if you do too much they cop a bit of an attitude and give you a little lecture (unnecessarily, in my opinion). With my monitor, I can self-police and avoid all that.

Old Hot Wheels cars with the red line wheels can fetch some serious bucks; not that I would sell them if I were you. I only have a small hand full of the cars I had as a kid. I've reclaimed some of the same models over the years, but it's nothing like having the actual cars you played with as a child.

Not really blood pressure, but rather the effects certain vegetables have on blood thinning medication. Essentially, vitamin K works against the affect of blood thinners. Green leafy vegetables (excluding iceberg lettuce), broccoli, cauliflower, etc. are especially high in vitamin K, which can play havoc with blood thinner dosages if eaten inconsistently. My concern was that, in an effort to lower my blood pressure naturally by cleaning up my diet (which included eating WAY more fresh fruits and vegetables), I adversely altered my vitamin K levels despite my avoidance of those vegetables on "the list". Ultimately, it may have been an iodine supplement that threw off my INR number more than my diet. The INR number is what's used to determine if you need a stronger or weaker dose of blood thinning medication; critical with a mechanical heart valve. Sorry if I was a bit unclear. I was pretty worked up at the time I recorded this.

Hey, thanks man, and no problem! I just wish I had an audience to help out your numbers. Rehab has been going great, although I feel a little out of place since I'm still fairly young to be having cardiac issues (technically aortic issues, but I'm considered young for those too). As for funny cars; the silver Tom McEwen English Leather/Mongoose car is, in my opinion, one of the best looking cars of all time. Wish they made a model kit of it. That era of funny cars were just gorgeous.

@speedybuilds2878 I thought I was having panic attacks that woke me up out of my sleep. I was hyperventilating trying to catch my breath! This was the third one and the worse one, so I called 911! Almost losing consciousness they came and took me to the ER. They did a chest Xray, cat scan of my chest, then an ultrasound. Head ER Doc comes in and tells me I have a tumor in my heart. Sent me to a bigger hospital with a cardiovascular ICU and 2 days later I had surgery and they told me t they were wrong on the size and it was the size of a baseball, stick to the wall of my heart and flopping in and out of my ventricle and atrium. That was a week ago today! I got a second chance and survived Atrial Myxoma!

@@quedog10pop Man, I don't have the words. I'll be praying that your recovery goes well. They told me it will be about 6 months until I'm back to normal (whatever normal is in this context). I really appreciate you sharing your experience. This whole thing has been a learning experience for me; hearing people's stories, what they have overcome, and all the good and bad with modern medicine and the healthcare system.

@@quedog10pop On a different/more positive note. I'm digging your 80's rap playlist. Finding quite a bit of stuff I hadn't heard. I've gotten away from it over the years, but when I was in my teens, that's about all I listened to. I should get back into it.
