LOL!
This is Peak MTM!
Best episode
My absolute all time favorite MTM Show!
Definitely one of the greatest episodes in TV history. I remember growing up watching the series as a kid and it’s still a great series to enjoy all these years later.
A little song. A little dance. A little seltzer down your pants. 😂
great deliveries on a great script.
For me, this was the hippest and funniest show in the world.
Mary held it in all week and the day of the funeral comes and she tries real hard not to laugh but it comes flying out! Much like u see something funny in church and u try real hard not to laugh but when u see someone else laugh and then u are done!
Phil Hartman was a comedic genius.
Priceless.
The great Art Bell and George Carlin together?! How did I not know about the existence of this interview? Thanks for posting this. R.I.P. Gentleman
I loved these actors! I grew up with them in my living room. Them, Carol Burnett, Tim Conway Harvey Korman, Viki Lawrence. Oh my goodness, Betty White! That woman was terribly funny. These people were treasure back then. God bless all of them! Many are gone, but a few are here.
many years ago a friend was getting married. I and another friend went to the wedding and had hoped to get the minister to start with the priest line from 'princess bride' but we arrived to late and just sat down. the minister came out-AND HAD THAT SPEECH IMPREDIMENT my friend and zi were desperately trying to not laugh out loud and on the wedding video we're seen turning purple trying to muffle it.
Wonderfully acted. Brought tears of laughter to my eyes.
Mary Tyler Moore allowed everyone else to get the laughs on most shows. But she showed us how how good she was at comedy. She's got spunk even if Lou hates spunk.
I would so buy this.
Comedy is tragedy plus time
I remember the night this first aired. It was, and still is, hilarious.
This was one of my dad's favorite episodes in all of television. When he died, we were sitting in church at his funeral, and we, his daughters, suddenly thought of Chuckles' funeral, and we all started laughing. Poppi would have been proud.
I hurt my foo foo when I watched this originally.
Dear lord it look like she got hit with homers makeup gun 😂
What the heck happened to Mary's hair? When did that helmet come into style?
Big hair, with lots and lots of hairspray, was a big deal in the late 60s, early 70s. Photos of my mother, with her big hair, just make her roll her eyes today.
😂
I love him. he is sooo funny.
Mary Tyler Moore was priceless in the funeral scene. I remember seeing it back in the day. So fun to see it again.
Acting genius at work.
Ed Asner took a successful comedic character and made him a successful dramatic character in "Lou Grant." Bravo!
They’re all dead…the best comic ensemble Ever!!!!
One of the funniest episodes of any TV show.
It’s like seeing something funny in church and u try Your best not to laugh until u see someone else trying not to laugh too until u see someone else trying not to laugh and then u are done!
God I loved this show back in the day when I was going to Uni. I used to tape them (VHS) and watched them later as I worked after 5pm. Good times.
Mary's best performance, witnessed by a group of hypocrites.
They should have a Mary Tyler Moore reunion show !
They're all dead.
@@TheHarryleemartin No, not all !
@@ernestkovach3305 All the major cast is dead. Murray's wife, who appeared in very few episodes is still alive -- Joyce Bulifant. I would suggest next time you disagree you provide the correct answer.
@TheHarryleemartin You just admitted you are wrong. Also, Phyllis 's daughter was a member several times . As for the other full or part-time actors on that show, hire look alike replacements or actual relatives as fillers for Mary, Lou, Ted, Murray, etc. Come on, folks, let's make this happen ..... use technology now available to harvest the real sentences from the many past MTM and Dick Van Dyke shows to create or piece together new dialog. Nothing is impossible. You can get this done through AI Hollywood. Produce an authentic reunion show that can be so much more than " A weekend at Bernies" type show of propped up lifeless bodies ! Use long and medium long shots instead of close ups, apply extra makeup , etc. This is doable . Pay relatives of those cast members now deceased who are agreeable to legal exhumation of their bodies to add authenticity when the credits roll. You want Mary Tyler Moore? The REAL Mary? Done! Don't ever say " all " cast members who appeared on MTM are dead. That's like saying all members of the Beatles or Lynerd Skinard are dead. Not true, bub. Apologize, sir, for being technically WRONG! Class dismissed.
Mary was robbed of an Academy Award for best actress in the oscar winning movie ,Ordinary People.
Great comedy sketch. Everyone was perfect in their assigned role.
A little song, A little dance. A little seltzer Down your pants.
Poor Chuckles was one of the funniest moments ever!😂
If I die in some ridiculous manner, I hope the people I know can make jokes as good as these.
After all these years, for some reason the line I remember is "A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants."
You're absolutely not the only one. My husband and I still say it to this day! 😅
How did Ed Asher ever manage to deliver that first line with a straight face?
Oh my God 😂😂😂😂
"A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants!"
This episode won an all-time 10 best sitcom episodes award.
This is so funny, and I feel bad for liking it 😂
I miss that show and all the characters!
Apparently, Chuckles Bits the Dust was classified as one of the greatest sitcom episodes ever made.
