conceal - trapx4, caltrops, evade in, death trap to reset cooldown, conceal, trapx4, caltrops - rapid fire with rapid fire aspect. at level 61 i just solo'd a tier 20 nightmare dungeon. my poison trap has 9 points in it, and does 35k/9s.

I would put the Death Trap first and THEN the Poison Trap. This way, you'll draw the enemies together in one place and ALL of them will be affected by the Poison Trap. In your case, some of the opponents always remain on the outside...

Do enemies continue to take damage after they leave the poison trap area?

I was pretty much running this build in the open beta. I have a wife kids so I obviously couldnt gear it how i wanted

Nice built. That amulet is the one making this build work. I don't think poison dot crits . I do think Caltrops with cold damage for chill are better. I do think you need to spread the traps a bit more especially versus multiple enemies. As always poison damage is dubious in Diablo. Don't know how it stacks, if it stacks . Keep up the good work and have fun.!

Good to see 4 traps slapped down. I wondered what that legend skill was good for. I didnt use the other parts of legend as my build is very different from yours so dismissed it. If we dont find any other trap legend skills (full release has many more apparently) then this is worthy slot.

You can use the Aspect of Synergy to lower your trap cd even more: Using an Agility Skill reduces the Cooldown of your next Subterfuge Skill by [X%] . Using a Subterfuge Skill increases the damage of your next Agility Skill by [X%]. You can break stealth using Dash or Shadow Step for a % cooldown reduction. You can also use Shadow Imbue before breaking stealth and use the Aspect of Lethal Dusk (Evading through an enemy infected by your Shadow Imbuement grants Stealth for [X] seconds. Breaking Stealth with an attack grants you [X%] Maximum Life on Kill for [X] seconds.) evading through an enemy that's affected by shadow status will get you back in Stealth (instant 0 trap cooldown again).

I ended up with a similar build after I got the Infiltrator's aspect on a ring, except I went for melee with Blade Shift and Flurry with the 360 degree AoE aspect. Used dash instead of caltrops and shadow clone as my ulti for the eight traps while in stealth. You can only do it once per minute but it was neat melting entire rooms in acid while stabbing everyone around me for even more poison damage. With eight traps on the ground you can get that +10% damage buff against pretty much every mob on your screen. Alternatively, you can assassinate literally any elite by stacking the traps on top of them. Yes, it's not easy to do on the smaller elites, but many elites are large mobs and it's quite easy to pull off vs most bosses. It also massively increases the damage of your regular attack combo for 10 seconds, along with your AoE b/c the clone is a bit to your side. I personally enjoyed that a bit more than using Death Trap, tho that too has decent synergy. If I happen to get the same drop after release, I might try the ranged version instead as I had a blast playing with barrage and shadow imbuement before respecing into the poison trap build.

Really love the poison and traps in general. Can't wait to find tune this build.

Great video and walk-through! You absolutely melted that boss XD I played Closed Beta and am also a trap-rogue enthusiast. This is definitely going to be a great end-game build with the specialization of Preparation along with the capstone passive cycling cooldowns like crazy. I was messing around more with trap builds in both early access beta weekends and testing the limits of trap builds. I didn't capture any full length builds like you've gotten, but I wanted to bring up the point that all traps in the game have a different style element tied to them. Caltrops being physical/frost; Poison Trap; Death Trap being Shadow. This made me start pursuing what could be done with builds in the single-element with the corresponding imbuement skills (which trap builds tend to not have room for). I think there will be use-case scenarios where we focus in individual elements. I think poison will be a primary damage dealer build, but I also tested an all frost build with just Caltrops and found success as a single target slayer. I do have a small clip of a build I tested using poison trap, shadow step, and poison imbuement with a legendary that provides plus-dodge against enemies effected by DoT. I really like the mobility of shadow step. It can actually get you out of hard CC. The Blood Bishop boss that can lock you down and drain HP for itself: Nope, Shadow Step out. There’s a legendary that turns all grenades into trap skills. So it combos really hard with the stealth drop grenade, and caltrop drop grenade.

I just discovered this legendary and it is extremely powerful. Great video and I would say you are the only person who is running this.

Just a note: this is a Lost Ark style boss. His swipe attack has a minimum and maximum range, which means directly under him is safe. It's best for everyone to stand in melee under the boss and just move to the side if he turns towards you. The reason for this is uptime since at range you don't have a clear indicator of where his swipe will be causing you to lose damage to safety, but if you're in melee you never stop doing damage and you have much less danger since all melee attacks are non-lethal.
