I have had mine in my cabin for 2 years. I bought it. Unboxed it. Hooked it up and I have forgotten about it. I have never even onetime went into the settings lol. Keep meaning to up the psi just a tad. But right out of the box it’s been perfect

Definitely the starter , i had same vehicle, exactly the same noise/problem

I have the same problem, new plugs, wires, distributer, coil, new carb, fuel pump is working and new within 2 years, fuel filter clean . 80# compression which is right on the edge of what the manual says it can have 105-140 +\- 25 psi. new battery, newer starter. It kinda wants to start but won’t even with starting fluid. Has plenty of fuel. With all the plugs out I can see it spark in order and bright big spark. Took it to the new holland dealer and they set the timing back to the marks I had it originally set at. They handed the carburetor to me in a box after they hit the $500 limit and told me it needed a rebuild. Exhaust does have some pressure to it if you hold hand over tailpipe. I’m at a total loss on why it won’t fire and run. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

My question is the chain sharped properly or is it a new chain. Saw seem to be running fine to me looks as if the chain is dull might not have any bar oil

What a screw around, it used to just be a little reset button you could press with a thin screw driver. Thanks for explaining mate, will finally reset it today.

Before seeing this, all I did differently was to remove the T belt light globe, it will never go back on that way.

I've got a leak in my final drive gear oil seal. Grit got into a hole in the plate cover and chewed up the seal I believe. Hopefully the planetary gears aren't damaged. With luck

Mine hilux like you noise but didn't start

So did you get this thing fixed? I’d suggest filing the burr off the bar and it sounds to me like that China carb needs some adjusting. Turn the low out about 1/4 turn and that chain should stop spinning and it sounds like you are not getting enough fuel on the high end. Get a cheap tachometer and screw the high screw out until you hit about 11,500 rpm and that should keep it from bogging down. That file looks too big as well. I know you said it’s the right size but there should be no problem fitting it in there.

How did you loosen the camshaft sprocket centre bolt? It seems that it was already loose as you just undid it by hand. Did you loosen it before the timing belt came off? I am wanting to replace the seal on mine but don’t want to try loosening it incase the sprocket moves too far
