Yup you are spot on: Grunter love these round headed "Klipvis". These Klipvis work very well as live-bait. The red colour works because if the following reasons. 1: As the fly rises into the sunlight: The red of gills and blood would shine through. 2: As the klipvis breaths it will open and close its gills: A fish coming up behind would see the Red of the gills

Why are you even using a fly rod, that "fly" looks like a lead jighead. It is heavy enough that You can easily cast it with a spinning rod

Andre, I've only seen a few of your tutorials so far. They are absolutely awesome!! I caught my first ever musky this year, completely by mistake while fishing for walleye. I am totally hooked. Like buying a complete new outfit, tying new flies kind of hooked. For 37 years I've flyfished for nothing but trout, mostly bugs size 12 or smaller. Your videos are a great learning tool for me. Can't wait to see something else from you.
