I used ordinary oil o-rings 32mm in diameter and 3.3mm thick. I sanded one of them to a thickness of 2.3 mm to achieve a common thickness of 5.5 mm . After this treatment, the shock absorber holds the pressure very well, but I still have to check it during work.

It is a bike that I got from my parents 20 years ago, only a frame remained from it. I have a lot of fondness for it, so I decided to rebuild it, but a little differently. I used a 1x10 11-37 cassette drive and a 32 t oval chain ring. Size 26 wheels with 2.5 front and 2.35 rear downhill tires. The handlebar is 780mm so it's wide enough. The weight of the entire bike was 14.5 kg. Now it remains ...

It is a frame that undergoes constant modifications. Earlier I strengthened / stiffened the rear fork and bottom bracket shells which had a very good twitch. I hope this reinforcement will fulfill its function but everything will turn out during the test .

    Can you tell me if that shock has the sealed compression dampner on one side, mine does and it seems if I put 10 cc of oil in there it would have no where to go?

    I picked up two 25mm ID orings with a 3.3mm x-section dia, lubed them and tucked them into the recess and it worked fine without any modification to make them thinner. Thanks!

    Hello, I have same Rock Shox like you and the same problem with the negative chamber. A few dais ago I resealed the negative chamber with 2 O rings like your procedure, but now I have the same problem with positive chamber. Do you know measures of O rings to reseal the positive chamber ??? Thank you. Sorry, my english is very bad.

    A reason I never buy restored things is that this bike would have been built with 25 or 26 x 2 loose 5/32" balls in those head set races. Otherwise a nice vid.

    After about 3 years the last Keurig stopped working th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf initially was able to unblock, however eventually we couldn't fix. That one was a replacement unit sent by the manufacturer after we had problems with our very first Keurig. This works fine (lol, at least for now) however I didn't realize the water reservoir was so much smaller than our prior unit. With 2 people having one or two cups of coffee each morning, it seems like I'm refilling it daily. Otherwise just happy to have the convenience of pod coffee vs. making a morning pot.

    • @smoke1659

      It‘s probably silicon grease. At least that is what I use for my Fork for years already. And I‘m going to use it on my SID XC aswell.

    I bought a new big chainring.. I just don't get off the old one because of the hidden bolt. Any advice? Unscrewing the spider seems to be the only solution I could come with.

  • @davidw1979
    @davidw1979 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome! To do the rings, I used a flat vibrating sander. I place the o-ring on a piece of sandpaper on the bench and then set the o-ring on it. The sand paper on the bottom helped to hold it in place when I gently moved the electric sander over it.

    Pretty sure you did not remove the negative air chamber and the cartridge damper. I believe both of these are sealed and not rebuildable. Or at least mine seems to be. Good job with the rest of it though.

    Thanks for the video, I just got a trek stp 200 (I'm guessing you have something similar), and I have the same problem. I have to mention, it would be nice to see how you put the shock back. Also sime advice for setting up. (the 60.psi is too low I belive....) And the music made me sleepy, it was nicer if you talked a few words, or at least put something less calm on.

    Good to see. I've just acquired a later version from the recycling yard. It has the derailleur gears with the gear change lever on the handle bar mounting post. It also has full metal fenders, which I like, and is painted the usual Raleigh metallic brown with white on the taillight area. It didn't come with a chain guard , although I could take one from my parts bike. Instead there's a metal ring between the gear wheel and the pedals. If I strip the paint to repaint it, where do I get the new decals and the correct shade of paint?

    • @conmenbike8476
      @conmenbike8476 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. It gives 10 ml to the lower lags and 5 ml from the top of the mixture of half and half MILITARY GREASE PM600 with oil, which makes it work much smoother. It gives about 80psi to the positive chamber and about 30psi to the negative one.
